someone probably bitched and moaned and they let'em and now all the cam-am dreamin' old fuglys are gonna go get them and get their license... i doubt it, but i guess it's an easy way out anyway. if you can buy one.
-
i'm sure one could make a boom mic for it. customize your helmet... only if i REALLY loved my helmet. i love it, but not that much. my scala rider works just fine.
-
lots of people live under a rock. the news companies refuse to report on sopa, because they know the public would outcry. so all the old farts who watch tv all day long, but don't really know how to use a computer... have no clue about it.
-
what if you have a 4-stroke quad, even with an exhaust re-circulation thingy..? put say, a street legal bike's engine in a quad. put a windscreen, wear a helmet, whatever.
-
Shamelessly stolen froma google search. This is sharkskinz. And I'm doing white. It'll just have to wait a little bit... But it's happening.
-
um... no mic then?
-
most of their parts are the exact same as cardo... wonder who buys what from who.
-
Martin, are you talking about sharkskinz, or the ebay knockoffs? i'd assume ebay, but the post placement has me second guessing. from what i've been told sharkskinz is the cadillac's balls.
-
hm... well ridersdiscount is offering a pretty good deal for sharkskinz... but it's still a bit more than i have at the moment. luckily it's still cold outside so i can wait on my decision a bit.

very cool. side thought, i like the ohioriders sticker on the helmet.

So, I need to buy a couple plastics to continue with the painting process. The front fender has a 3 in. chunk popped out from the top. Assuming that's from where the previous owner bottomed out. The left lower has had the rear-most 10 in. chunk snapped off and riveted back on. Also from the p.o. The right side upper has a crack near the top, and a little piece right around a bolt head broke off from when I laid it down. Both lowers have bondo-needed gashes, and the undertail needs a little from where he bottomed it out on the rear wheel... A lot. All in all, my plastics have been abused. I'll for sure need the three mentioned above, and the best I can find on fleabay is used versions that may also need their own fix-ups for $50 or more each. The perfectionist/lazy guy in me is seriously considering plunking down on one of the $500 fairing kits. Just buy it all and be done with it. This would be after saving up, or maybe when taxes roll around... Someone tell me not to?

people are assholes. if i were him, and if i were in as much of a hurry that he was, that he got all pissy after you COMPLETED your pass, i would have just gassed it beforehand and wouldn't have even been in your way at all...

I understand the 'get there early, be energetic, and balls-happy to work' sentiment. I'm just having a harder time with the 'impress them so they will try to see what you can do' part.

heh. i like that idea. but they can look it up because they are "registering" with the Wright Search department.... :-/ it would be a 3 something i'm sure.

If Ohio Riders offered email and instant messaging, would you use them?

plus one to the mobile site idea. it works well enough on my phone. i just have to double tap the zoom on every new page. -
i just sent it. but just saw your edit on the other post. i put the gpa for high school, but for college, it's ugly. 2.7. i bombed freshman year, so with average grades i'm slowly pulling it up. i blame it on women.

coolio. thanks for all the quick info guys. who needs school? i've got a bunch of nerds on sportbikes! :-D

software, i've used matlab, turbocad, and solidworks. Had a class for each. How would you list that? The best programming I can do is very basic. None of my jobs really pertain to engineering except one. And even then, all I really do is drill holes and plumb pipes... Do I not even have enough experience to get a job to get experience? fail.

Well, my .doc file was too big to just use as an attachment. So here's an ugly unformatted version. It is basically straight from a Word template anyway. Feel free to bash as you see fit. it's at my school. There will be companies like AK Steel, GE, Air Force Institute of Technology, WPAFB, Ball Aerospace, etc etc. I'd be looking for a coop or internship or something I can do alongside school. I plan to make an appointment with an advisor at school to go over my resume, but figured there's a big group of semi-professional men who work in places like these already... I might as well ask for advice here. So... Anyone wanna have a go at my resume? It aint special. I'm a poor college kid. But I'm sure I can improve something anyway. Any other tips from the pros?

too expensive for a once a year thing...

eh, probably not. i might use the email to register for other sites, as my gmail gets way too much spam now. but... i like that idea. my phone dies a lot. maybe a dedicated app would use less data, but idk. -
i think after i get my bike all prettied up, i'm going to be much more selective about road conditions when i ride. i'll still commute in summer, but spring/fall, i might not delve into the 20's or wet 30's like i did this fall.

what about changing the sticker?

haven't used it myself, but my brother who is repairing and painting my plastics is using kitty hair on the cracks and scratches and whatnot. Also, those bars look unnaturally painful..
