Apparently HD had to approve the Rotax engine, according to Erik and his followers, if HD Brass did not approve it first, it was a no go. Excuse or not? For good reason, I think all of the warranty work, and very low yearly sales, was something HD was no longer going to tolerate. Example 1:Erik Buell and staff knew there was a failure issue with the 2009 and 2010 1125 stators, and they continued to create and sell the bikes. Example 2: You can still purchase a new 2009, 2010 engine from Erik Buell Racing with a knowing bad stator in it, if you want to purchase a 2008 stator/with cover for an additional $502.79 from them to fix this issue you can. Example 3:The leaking clutch cylinder was also a known issue, and once again, they kept making them and selling them with this issue. These are just 1125 issues, all other Buell models had their own known issues too for years, but Erik kept putting them out for his fellow " Buell the American Sportbike Enthusiasts"(LOL) to purchase. If someone was not marketing your product effectively, would you not concentrate on the marketing aspect of your company on your own? I hope the 1190RS, if released, is carefully considered with the consumers in mind??? Oh yeah, not a Buell and/or Erik hater, just some facts I gathered from being a Buell owner!

1125R ('08) 9/08 24/30/27 130.4 @ 10,000 74.6 @ 8000 474 440 RC8 ('08) 10/08 35/45/36 134.9 @ 10,250 75.4 @ 7000 444 417 The 1125R competes with the RC8 already, by these numbers. The Buell 1190RS should be a hands down winner in a comparison with the RC8.

I agree you need to take the bike for a test ride. If they deny you, there are plenty of other great deals out there as mentioned. They seem to be good bikes. I have never owned one, but I have ridden with a few owners with the VFR 800, and all of them had nothing but good to say about theirs.

I agree, can I add 556?

Welcome to the site!

Not a fan of the graphics either, but it does look nice. The "rumor mill" states the green, and an all black will be 2011 color option's.

How about this one?

I can only speculate on the engine, whatever happened inside completely destroyed the engine giving me an oil and coolant bath while riding. My bike lived in the 5K-8K range, very rarely near the rev limiter. I bought mine before the price reduction, almost MSRP, because I liked it, and I too thought it was a unique bike, that is why I kept trying to keep it, even if it was not in my best interest. I was good with A.D. Farrow until the engine failure, not the best dealer, but the best I could find. I am not concerned at all about BadWeb, I was just voicing my opinion, even though on BadWeb the tone is set for Buell. They give Buell a bad name, and Erik and EBR Staff are good personal friends with all of them, to me that speaks volumes about EBR! Erik Buell is not a victim, HD took care of him, that is why he stayed with them, regardless what he says, he is true Harley Davidson through and through. I am sure his bank account will prove that statement!

Tpoppa, If you do a search on BadWeb you will find plenty of I4 bashing, not looking for an argument, just stating what I have read and personally experienced. Yeah I agree with you about Blake, but there are many followers on the site that are just as bad, especially the Blake nut swinger you got that link from Froggy, and don't forget the lying Court. People worship Court like they do Erik Buell, he acts like he knows something and people buy into it, when it usually is a lie, or information from somebody else he claims as his own. When called out on his lies, all his cheerleaders, including Blake and Froggy, bash the person, even though they prove he is lying, then he bails and lets the cheerleaders take care of it, usually someone gets banned. I could have claimed Lemon Law on my 1125R a long time ago, but I kept trying my best to keep it. When I went to pick it up after the blown engine repair, a 2009 engine was installed by the way, so probably reconditioned, the bike had a check engine light, the battery was not charging, and it smelled like coolant bad, I had enough. My 1125R is not alone with all of its problems either, as much as it is denied, and all the excuses that are made, the majority, if not all of the 1125's, have several issues, or will have issues, and I was not going to go through that again. Not a big deal though, the Z has not missed a beat, as expected! I see the 1190, if released, being built the same way , unreliable with even less support. Just my personal opinion, Sorry for the rant!

Welcome, hope you have fun in Marion.

All I can say is "Rose Colored Glasses", from a hopefully soon ex Buell owner. Not a personal attack on anyone, just my opinion! It is a shame the way many Buell owners bash the I-4's, and all other Non-Buell Motorcycles and owners, when the very same people they are bashing support them and agree that HD should have offered a better solution for Erik and Buell as a company, kind of a Harley Davidson mentality to me. Not just my opinion, I personally witnessed it several times from various Buell owners, in person, and especially on Badweatherbikers.com, mainly from the owner of the site, the moderators, and the "all Buell's are great" Cult like members. When Harley Davidson buys back my Ohio Lemon Law 1125R, I roughly estimated HD's cost for this bike alone, will be well over double of what I paid for it originally, due to all of the warranty work, and the buy back, and it will probably be resold with more warranty work needed in the future. I am not a fan of HD, but I do understand them closing Buell. I did own a 2007 Night Train for 2 years with no problems though, it was just not my thing, I sold it. Needless to say, the 1190 will not be an interest of mine, never say never though, I will wait for a "Firesale" this time.

Welcome to Ohio Riders!

06Vulcan, The guy I was waiting for did not get to Zanesville until about 12:45, so we obviously did not catch up to you guys. Maybe next time!

I will try and be in Pataskala at 10 a.m, you did not say where your leaving from, so I will assume you are taking 70 to Zanesville? I will be at I70 Pataskala exit at 10 a.m. on a White Z1000.

Got my vote, I posted on some other Forums too. -
Nice job! I raced against the Teasley Family for several years at MCIR, they are all good racers.

I ride down South quite a bit (curvy roads), usually by myself. In La Rue, let me know if and/or when you want to ride. I do ride alot of miles (usually 500+), and mostly all day, sometimes into dark on the way home, so please keep that in mind. We can ride a shorter route, but the roads won't be as good or as entertaining, let me know?

Looks like I will be riding with 2 other guys in SE Ohio on Saturday.
