  1. Welcome, stay safe, and enjoy your ZX6R!
  2. In my opinion the 250 will be fun at first, but that will go away fast. Buy a used bike, or spend a little more for a FZ6R or 650R or something similar. Just my opinion though, best of luck with your decision!
  3. Yeah I'm in, I would really like to have one of these in the Matte Black.
  4. 565 is also newly paved off of 260. I like to take 565 to 145 S to 564 N just outside of Caldwell, this eliminates Woodsfield to Caldwell on 78.
  5. 536 was open Friday 8/20, it was not very clean but still fun. Just a heads up if anybody wanted to ride 536.
  6. To late I know, but you should have checked Jake Wilson or Compacc online, you might have saved quite a bit. Wow I only got just under 2K miles on my set of Qualifiers on my Z1000 and they were trashed, front and back with no track days just street riding. Personally I am pretty much sold on the Michelin tires myself Pilot Power (currently on the 1125R), Pilot Power 2CT, Pilot Road, and the Pilot Road 2 (currently on the Z1000)
  7. Next time you could head North to Mohican Hills and the Amish Country, great scenic cruiser roads. Walnut Creek Area, Berlin, Sugarcreek...ETC..ETC... Ride Route 557 through Charm and Farmerstown, a few twisties for you. 557 is short enough where your friend can sit in Charm and wait for you to make a fast pass up and down, not real technical, but some fun anyway. Watch for "road apples" the road has quite a bit, that would be embarrassing wrecking in a pile of horse dung. Plenty to see, and wonderful stop and shop Amish towns, if that is your thing.
  8. Good advice! There are several routes at and around Deals Gap to ride that offer the same fun factor, you just have to do some research and mapping before you go. If Deals Gap is to congested you can ride the alternate routes, and still have a great time down there. Whatever routes you choose will still, more than likely, be busier over that weekend though, so be aware and ready to face on coming traffic in your lane. Enjoy your trip, have fun, and be safe!
  9. I should be heading to NC from WV that day, if that changes I am up for riding.
  10. A used VFR 800, BMW F 800S, Triumph Sprint ST, or a Yamaha FZ1, you can find some good deals on Ducati Supersports and Aprilia Tuonos too.

Nice to see some people still have taste in their bikes.....LOL!
  12. Sorry I certainly would like to join you, but I have to decline. I have a long trip scheduled starting Thursday of next week, and I have bad nerve damage in both of my hands, so I am nursing them for the upcoming trip. Thanks again for the offer! Troy

    Hello All

Congrats on the bike, and welcome!
  14. Apparently this ended in May or June 2010, supposedly stated straight from Erik Buell himself.
  15. I prefer the Road 2's, but both seem to be a good choice. Plus I have them on a Z1000, much different than your 6.
  16. Welcome, enjoy the Ninja!
  17. Not sure on the year, but a Kawasaki KZ440 was my first street bike, that has been a while ago. A 1995 Kawasaki ZX-7 was my first brand new street bike.
  18. A friend of mine lost his warranty on his bike due to posting pictures of him at the drag strip, and discussing drag racing the bike at the track on a forum. Not the same thing, but still absolutely ridiculous in my opinion!
  19. How about 78 E to 260 S to 537 E to 26 N to 800 S onto 255 E to OH 7 S back to 260 N to 565 W to 145 S to 564 W back to 78, just a suggestion. Only about 115 miles, but a good ride, except 78 to 260 & 7 back to 260.
  20. Is 555 open yet? I suppose if you ride up from the South you can ride most of it anyway. If I get feeling back in my hands by this weekend (probably not) I might be down there, maybe I will see you guys?
  21. I paid $157.98, shipped to my door, for a set of Michelin Pilot Powers Front & Rear for the Buell from Jake Wilson. I have also dealt with the pricing difference with Iron Pony, the internet prices compared to store prices, and they have not honored one yet for me. Compacc also has reasonable prices on sets of tires. I don't even want to talk about the price of my PR 2's I bought and had installed at Iron Pony, like the tires, but very expensive.
