oh... you unplug it to ride...? problem solved.

That's what's in my triumph. is your battery dead?
-
Should I be concerned that Bikebandit included candy in the package with the swingarm chain slider I ordered from them...?

the more viscous the oil, the longer it will take to get up to proper operating temps and stop being goupey. it's a stretch but who knows. also, not sure how the quick shift would affect a regular clutched shift since all it does is cut the engine power for a split second but again, who knows.

never had an issue with the triumph's clutch. your cable good? have the triumph quick shift installed? your oil good? good for cold weather?

But the vertical video man, VERTICAL. -
Sorry on late reply @Casper, work has me in its icy clutches until at least 6pm tonight. Freaking giant multinational megacorps.

I'll do my best to be at IP at 12:30 tomorrow. If I'm not there, that means work has me by the unmentionables and you should just go ahead and leave.
-
I suppose, however as 2T² pointed out, gotta pay for the tires somehow on your race bikes.

Hours of free OT where you can dick around on the internet just like you'd be doing at home... why not?

I'm also looking for someone that can do fiberglass repair + paint...

Perpetuating vertical video. I knew Google was bad, but this is heinous. -
I think A* has 2 different tiers, honestly. Their high-end stuff seems to hold up pretty well and people seem to really like it. Their low/mid-end stuff (up to $120 or so) might as well be made of wet paper towel and elmer's glue. Would be nice if their quality standards were consistent throughout their brand.
-
Yeah, my A*s stitching came undone on the palm (both pairs) and holes worn through the (so called) leather finger/thumbtips on both hands. Stitching is coming undone on the Scorpions, stitching that I checked to make sure was good the day I bought them. I wore these gloves to work today (about 5 miles), and for about 2 hours over the duration of the Fall Gap Trip. In that time, they have begun to fall apart. Seriously, wtf? ** on the other hand (hurr dee durr!), the el-cheapo pair of gauntlets I got for the track have held up like champs for 2 years of hard riding: http://www.ironpony.com/ipd/pi.asp/ImageName/G323_GLV.JPG/Brand/Brooks/c2/Riding-Gloves/c3/Street-Gloves-Mens/c1/Street-Products/KitKey2/G323-Leather-Race-Gloves

Well, I tried Scorpion gloves over A* this time since the last 2 pair of A* that I had failed after 1 season of use. I'm happy to report that the Scorpion gloves have started to fail after 1 ride. Do I just have shit luck with gloves or is it hard to find a pair that will stay together for around $100? Both offending pairs are below, I'd recommend avoiding them. That sucks. seems about right.

You can get a decent board for pretty cheap now days, like $200. The issue is that there's nowhere to go worth a damn that's within a 3 hour drive. Lift ticket prices have gotten out of hand in the last 15 years too. It used to be like $55/day back in the late 90's, now at any decent mountain it's going to be close to $100/day.

Stretched was originally an anti-whoolie mod for drag racing, but it got picked up by people who liked the look and started stretching out bikes that are impossible to power wheelie. 'Dem stretched 600's bruh. No mirrors, I have no idea. I like knowing what's behind me. I'll probably be getting rid of my giant rabbit ear mirrors for some bar-ends next season but after riding the track bike around on some back roads for testing purposes, I've found it sucks having to turn your torso around every time you want to see behind you. ** @JustinNck1 CRG has good reviews on their bar-end mirrors. I'll probably get the Triumph branded mirrors though because they look good on the striple:

http://www.midohio.com/mid-ohio-courses/60-school/412-motorcycles I find it worth it, but I grew up making my own tracks and running them for countless hours on end every winter on my snowmobiles. What makes track time so great is that it is a predictable environment that you get to know inside and out. This means you can put a laser-focus on your riding and things you want to work on instead of having to worry about traffic, blind corners, gravel, etc. You know what gear you need to be in at any given time on the track, brake points for every corner, turn-in points for every corner, where the apex is that you should be hitting like clockwork. It's about refining your riding and getting rid of any impurities, like smelting metal or something along those lines. Each lap is like a hammer strike. I found that my biggest issue is overall confidence on corner entry speeds. I always underestimate what my bike is capable of, which I'm guessing is probably due to my lowside last season. After my (sadly one and only) track day this year, my confidence was back and I was a hell of a lot faster than I was in the spring. It seems like each time I've gone to the track something has 'clicked' and I've left a better rider. Whether or not that's true, I don't know but it's how I feel. I plan to spend a good bit of time at the track next year refining and getting faster. Congrats on the pretty Italian.

I just gave them a call, they ran it on the Monday after Thanksgiving last year but they said that they don't have the date for this year set yet. They said to keep an eye out around the major holidays, probably through New Years. Also they said they will send out an email saying when the sale will be. I gave them my email, I'm sure if someone wanted to make sure, they could call and give the nice lady their email as well.
-
Yep, free 5th day if you buy 4. No idea if they will continue to do that or not though, could always give them a call and ask I suppose. I don't think this customer appreciation day is based on you actually purchasing the certs either, so if you get one as a gift it still counts as long as the cert # is registered with your name when you do the track day (which it has to be anyway). The track keeps your name/contact info in their systems that tracks your days and such. Lets them know for instance, that if you've run the track less than twice you automatically get Novice class to familiarize yourself with the track, rules, etc. As a quick note, the certificate sale is very very time limited, so a good plan is to find out the sale date(s) ahead of time by contacting the track and marking it on your calendar. I missed the sale this past year because I was out of town with no internet access for a couple days.
-
Your best bet is to buy a few certificates over the winter and use them when you can. Mid-O, according to most, is a track you don't want to ride when it's even the slightest bit damp.
