light another connie rider's ass on fire and they might be able to keep up with Tim. If it doesn't feel like sloppy seconds going through corners then your springs are probably ok. I would get head shake on the SV when I got on the brakes hard too, before the spring swap. I'm guessing because the forks were fully compressed and the tire was then taking any remaining downforce directly. You said you were running max pressure on your front though right? And still you were seeing cupping.

wonder how effed up this bike is for this price... http://dayton.craigslist.org/mcy/5937311343.html

below air box down with throttle bodies. some disassembly required. this should be pretty close to the same: http://www.triumphrat.net/street-triple-forum/176659-diy-street-triple-spark-plug-and-air-filter-change.html

I saw a brand spankin new GTR saturday on 71 on the way to Xenia. The driver kept flooring it every time he'd change lanes and nearly rear-ended a car in the far right lane when he tried getting around a semi cruising in the center lane. I get you want to have fun with your new powerhousemobile, but why in heavy interstate traffic? :|

Ohio Riders Unofficial Mid-Ohio Track Day - August 21, 2017
what replied to TimTheAzn's topic in Track is Crack
If we get a date nailed down for sure I can get in touch with a professional photographer friend of mine and see if he would be able to cover the day for us. He mostly travels with bands but he was just out in nevada at some private track for some kind of car track day event for the super filthy rich or something. He does both video and still. I'd want to toss him some $$ if he came out though. **put in PTO request for the current winning day. Turns out it doesn't overlap anything as of right now \o/ -
I will tell you that after he put 1.0kg springs and heavier oil into the SV it turned into a completely different bike. When it was under sprung the front never felt planted and would routinely chatter/wobble mid-corner. Corner entry was always shaky too because the forks would bottom out the second I tapped the brakes. SVs are notoriously under sprung for anyone over 130lbs though... Are your springs soft for you on the connie? No idea how they spring touring bikes. I'd imagine they would toss some pretty hefty forks on there.

Still probably worthwhile to check the thermostat, but yeah.

oh yeah well while you're off having fun I'll be at work. bet you feel like a real idiot now! hahahahaha hahaha haha ha... ha...

that sucks man. how long did it run before it overheated?

OEM front blinkers installed on sv650 to get it (more) ready to sell. Except for a few scratches on the fairing, it's now back to stock. That said, I don't know if Suzuki could have made it a more time-consuming process for such an easy swap.

picked up the freshly bored out upper triple clamp for the track bike, thanks to @jacobhawkins.

winter weeds out the weak

If the front feels like wobbly wet noddles and your line is all over the place in the corners for no real reason, you need stiffer springs. unless you're worried about being too light for 1.0kg. Sonic springs seems to think at 180lbs with full gear you'd want .95kg. Just stock up on cheeseburgers before each session and you'll be good to go.

Colleges and social media/social justice culture are the main reason for the current state of the millennial generation. They were a small group back between 2006 and 2010 when I went through school (and an art school to boot), but I did notice that there were more and more people involved each year. These are the people that believe in the abolition of the first amendment because nobody should have the right to say things that may offend or hurt another individual. These people want jail time for people that say "offensive" things. They've been asked directly "who defines offensive?" and their response was "we do". I did not vote for trump. I am legitimately worried about the next 2 years for this country as one party has almost complete control (which will be complete control once the supreme court is filled) of all branches of government. Checks and balances... might be reinstated after the 2018 midterm elections. BUT The people out protesting and stirring shit up are by and large not democrats who lost the election, they are the marginalized social organizations who see this as an opportunity to rock the boat. They want to get the two big kids in the yard to fight each other then step over them and take their lunch money. They want this country divided to polar opposites because that's the easiest way for them to further their own goals and get their people into power. "Don't like your 2 options? Well how about 'Social Justice For All And Totally Not Communist Tom' over here, he will save us all." That's when we'll really have to be worried about a tyrant.
-
Well, protest is protected speech as well so... If it's peaceful it's not violating anyone's right to speak their mind.
-
Nice addition. 1 more ADV bike I'll never catch.
-
I don't doubt it. It's like thunder but SO much louder. They used to do it at around 4:30am which was super nice of them.
-
From what I understand the protesters were peaceful for a good portion of the day until 100+ masked fuckfaces showed up and started burning shit and beating people up. I blame the commies.
-
Shockwave fucked that building up. When I was down in Savannah for school the guys flying training missions from the base there would sometimes "accidentally" break the sound barrier over the city while headed out to sea. It woke me up a few times thinking the world was coming to an end.
-
Can you get me a smokin' deal on an fz-10? Like the smokinest of smokey deals the world has ever seen?
-
Stay light and let the bike do all the muscle work.
-
so you broke the site and this is your cover post. roger. now @Tonik doesn't have to post!

People weren't especially friendly the last time I went. Granted I knew pretty much nobody there and that's probably the reason (who wants to talk to some weirdo that rides a modern neon-orange Triumph and not a Bonnie). @JCMathis and his wife were there though and we had a good conversation.
