  1. Fixed my touring peg that got damaged in the little accident I had in Vermont and fixed my POS Tomtom 1 mount again, one day that thing is going to be tossed off a mountain overlook.
  2. This guy beat my record run to the top of Mt Washington by just a little bit.
  3. One thing we learned how to do yesterday during our brewery tour was how to make home made Black and Tans. 40% Yuengling Premium(not lager) and 60% Yuengling Porter. And it taste so much better than the premade prebottled stuff. Enjoying a few tonight.
  4. I've had it apart once today but didn't notice any movement but I'll give it another go.
  5. Found this on ADV Riders, I'm not the only one. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/leaking-shoei-neotec-visor.980529/
  6. Not on the neotec, I already searched that. Other models it is the neotec is different.
  7. The gasket or seal to me appears to be in good condition and as it should be. I just don't think the visor sits tight enough on it to seal properly. The Neotec has a spring loaded design that when you close the visor 2 little springs are to push the visor against the seal. And I do not think it's tight enough.
  8. I've had a issue with my Neotec helmet for a little while now and I wanted to address it with Shoei and see what they would do to handle it. When I get into rain, water will leak between my visor and top of the helmet and run down or even splatter on the inside of the helmet and my perscription glasses underneath resulting in me not being able to see very well. When it does this and I have my pin lock in it makes it even worse and water gets around or even under the pin lock and I really can't see till I take the pin lock out. That happened last fall to me and as you all know if you don't have a place to store a pin lock on the road, it's getting scratched and ruined. So I call Shoei customer support today and the guy I talked to was a complete ass. Not just in what he said but by the way he handled the whole call and they way he talked to me. I was polite and courteous and explained everything to him and that I keep my helmet cleaned and well maintained and that I feel something is wrong. Here is what I got in response... "They aren't waterproof, water is going to get in. It's a three piece design and there is no way to keep water out. In a driving rain water will get through" So i shared with him that my last lid was a Nolan N90 and I had zero water or leaking problems with it. His response to that was..."You can send it to us(at you cost) and we can look at it but I doubt there is anything wrong with it, it's just the way they are"..So I note the price they are charging for these and marketing them to touring riders that ride in all kinds of conditions they should do a better job tham mine is doing and he only adds... "Maybe when you know it's going to rain push in on your visor and be sure it's sealed and closed all the way. And maybe store it with the visor open so the seal isn't getting distorted from sitting" Like I said it wasn't even so much I didnt get the answer i was looking for it was just this guy came off like a total pompas ass. Just burnt me the wrong way so next lid replacement, I think I'll just look past the Shoei rack.
  9. Doesn't matter, I'm betting we won't be invited anyway.
  10. Think we're comparing apple to onions here. Yea I'll chew up a t30 in 3000 but I'm rolling at 1000lbs toured out. You'll get much more out that feather weight bike but I can't say how much better. But I will say they stick like glue are great in wet wear even and are inexpensive
  11. Happening Right Meow!! More pics after the tour.

  15. Well had a little accident today. Got off the ferry in Burlington and was making our way through town when we were stuck behind a car turning left on a 4 lane. I told Justin on the coms if you are clear to go to the right lane and get around, go for it. So he went and I attempted to follow. Shame on me for not looking for myself but I pulled right out on front of a lady in a Nissan. She braked hard and blew her horn but it was too late, the front corner of my bag and rear corner panel of her car hit. Didn't go down but it caught my bag, foot and peg. Totally my fault. We pull over and inspect the damage it scuffed my bag on the front edge and rear edge and slight scuff on edge of my peg. Her car had a scratch from the wheel well clear to the corner of the rear bumper. She got her bitching out at me and I agreeded with her. I ask what do you want to do? Im okay with it if you are. She said yes that was fine. I ask again. Are you sure your cool to doing nothing about it and she said, yes. I said thank you and I'm sorry and we parted ways. Her car was a older car kind of banged up to begin with and both car and bike were silver so paint trading was unnoticeable. So it could have been worse she could have nailed me from behind but luckily she was paying attention. She also reminded me of somone that didn't have insurance or maybe even a license too do maybe that's why she didn't want to call the leos. So another scar on the old 14 and another story to tell.
