yea they are kinda short if your a big guy like me..im always pulling my sholder in to look behind me..essecially if i have my leather jacket on..i thought about putting some Gixxer mirrors on mine with the trun signals in them but i havent gotten around to it yet

Nice new toy, I always liked the TL's especially the L models.
Nothing against the S models , I just liked the blue and white full fairings.

Take 23 down thorough ky and va its very twist in southern ky. Then when you get to tn you can swing over to bristol to the snake its one of the best rides and is not all that far you can do
that was accually part of my plan....if the company i have dont take lids they can wait at the state line for me...now i need to figure out when, i wanted to go on my birthday weekend but i have to call every saturday in july to see if i have to serve jury duty:cry:

Im thinking of planing a road trip down south through some KY eastern highland roads. I'm going to ask some of my freinds to go with me and a few of them are not fond of wearing their Lids, to the point that they may not want to go. So my question is, is US 23 completely in KY, if i would decide to go down or back that route? I know it runs right along the KY/WV line i just didnt know if it ever crossed into WV where they would need their brain buckets. Just like to know incase this might become a topic.

the tank recall is for leaky pump gaskets the only way to tell is if it has a embosed X on the bottom..the sterring thing is the recall so you have it...i also recomend a set of frame sliders because if you look at the bike if it were to ever fall over the first thing it will hit is the radiator i got a supper nice(strong) set on the tlzone group buy..and a set or barnett clutch springs if it ever slips(and 80% of them do)its a easy cheep fix..i love my TL im sure you will too mines going on 35K miles

sweet!!!!!!! you might want to check out these forums www.tlzone.net ......... www.tlplanet.com .......... http://wotid.com/tls/content/view/12/39/ to guide you along the way..big things to look for are frame cracks, tank recall, steering damper recall, clutch springs(if slipping), and i recomend a fan switch mod and a TRE, cant wait to see your pics, these bikes esecially the 97 are a beast of their own

I think I would be ok for a newb ...only issue I see is, im not sure what the fuel range is on that gs but there aren't many exits with near by gas stops so I would plan ahead and scope out some stations
