You think a TL is a sport bike.
It takes someone old and senile like me to ride one...but i love it..i just get up in the morning drink my fiber pop a prozac and off i go:wheelchair:

this answered my question but there is still noway
Q: Do I need to remove my chain or belt?
A: No, just make sure you put your bike in neutral “after” it is strapped on. We do recommend you check the manufacturer to make sure your bike can coast long distances without causing damage to your bike. Have sold many and have not heard of any problems from any manufacturer to date.

think i read somewhere that they recomend you remove the chain before towing..... talk about a pain in the ass

nothing but field and a hill side behind me...somtimes i have cease fire to let a cow pass..lol

This has been just sitting on a shelf since i bought my current one.Size XL. Is in good codition not all scrtched up or anything id give it a 7.5 out of 10. Only thing wrong is i dropped a wrench on it once and messed up one of the vents on top, but its hardly noticable unless you know to look. I have 2 sheilds for it a clear(almost perfect) and a red iridium (has a long scuff on it from being in a back pack). The inside is clean(im not a dirty person)i dont smoke, i dont chew. You can get these online for around $50 so i thought i d offer it a half that $25 Its worth more but im not looking to make much just clear the shelf and offfer to someone that may need it. Im in fredericktown/knox county

^ this.. My 650 is a super fun bike that I learned on. Plus the 02 and under are carbureted. V-twin.
not the 1000 they have been FI since the intro of the TL in 97...im not sure the 650 would be a huge step up from what he has now, not sure how big of a jump he wants to make
-
thats 90% of them isnt it?. thinki iv only been pulled over once in 20 times when i thought the cop treated me with repect that i always convey to them, and yes that one gave me a ticket too, so dont think he let me off and that is why i liked him. I'v had one that said that they are giving me a break i thought were pricksan asshole one. -
good luck..just take her easy on the hills, and dont use overdrive..i forwarded this to my buddie i thought for sure he would jump on it but i guess not

Ok im offten refered to as "the old guy on the sport bike" to some guys that i talk to from time to time that dont know me personally( i do look older than i am). I know im not that old, i'll be 35 in July. I was just curious as to how old some of you other sport riders were.

Damn Chain Lube
in Daily Ride
Posted
This winter i put on a new RK chain and Driven sprocket kit..well i decided not to clean off the lube that came on the chain due to me being out of chain lube to replace it, so i also decided not to wash my bike till i had that lube worked in and the excess slung off. BIG MISTAKE!!!! i dont know what kind of lube that was but it took me 3 hrs of srubbing and degreasing and srubbing more and kerosene and more srubbing to get it off my wheels frame and swing arm, what a mess. Does anyone know what it may have been ? I dont want to make the mistake of putting anything like that back on, that stuff was like tree sap.
