Yeah, I think they did away with the state stickers, and issue plates now. I'll be damn if I'm putting a plate on my YZ! Hell, I even put the sticker on a peice of plexiglass and drilled holes in it so I could ziptie it to the bike when I go trail riding. Prolly do the same when I have to get the plate (ziptie).

At Perry County, all you need is a State Registration sticker. There are no one day state stickers. At Wayne, you can buy a one day Wayne pass. Sounds to me like you need to go get a State Registration from your local BMV. It is good for about 3 years I think. Then depneding on where you ride, you may need day passes, or if it's the beginning of the year, a yearly pass.

That's a good point. With that being a '93, you probably don't have a title, which means I don't think you can get a state registration which is required for most state parks.

The KLX/DRZ 110's are indestructable little bikes too. But don't think you'll find one for under $500. Just a suggestion, since you mentioned this is your first dirt bike, stay off MX tracks for a couple years. You have the right idea with trails. Wayne National Forest and Perry Co. APV will both be shutting down for the winter real soon if they haven't already. Good luck and ride safe.

Were your intensions to ride it? If so, chaulk it up as a "not so good of deal", and ride that mother. Otherwise, as already said, it may be hard to get $1000 out of it.

I picked this up last winter for a little over $2k ('64 Skylark). It has a Wildcat 310 V8. It's a lot of fun. Personnally, I would just watch Craigslist for an old classic.

I didn't read all the way through the thread, but I did trade up my '95 Kanatoona for a '97 TL1000s back when, and I say you will notice a huge difference in power. The TL will come up with a slight twist of the throttle. Be careful. If you don't have it now, you will learn respect quickly.
