I think it's time to let my baby go. It's been a great bike to me for 16 years, and has never left me stranded. Time for someone else to show her the love. I've moved on, and she just gets ignored. It's a multi show winner that still runs and rides as good as the day it left the showroom floor. It's not perfect, I ride it. A few small chips here and there. It will come with a passenger seat and quick release backrest. 29k smiles. The Avon Cobra Chrome Tires have less than 1k miles on them. Always meticulously maintained. Ready to go. Lot of aftermarket goodies...I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting. Freedom Performance Sharp Curve Pipes, Power Commander III USB Fuel Controller, Yamaha quick detach backrest (with lock), Professionally dyno tuned by Twin Cam Performance, Raw Design Front Stealth Turn Signals, Blaster X Integrated Tail Light, Kuryakyn Warrior Style Side Mount License Plate, Webslingers Custom Speedo and Dash Plates, 5" Foot Control Extensions, Kuryakyn ISO grips with spike ends, Scythe style mirrors, Removed rear brake disc cooler, Chrome rims, Avon 240 rear tire, Barons Slam kit with progressive spring, L&M Full Wrap front fender, Chrome Alternator Cover, Chrome Kuryakyn Levers, Chrome master cylinder covers, Custom Paint, Spike Air Cleaner, Chrome Pulley, L&M Seat, Chrome Axle Covers, Kury Stiletto front pegs, Cobra passenger floorboards, 3" spiked fork extensions, Star chrome caliper covers, Chrome switch housings, LA Choppers Handlebars, Victory headlight with Chilly's bracket. No joy rides. Come with an endorsement and cash in hand if you want to test ride it.

Yeah, believe it or not, they fill up quick. My friends that go to Greenbriar let me know within a week of them getting notified, and most of the time it's full! Crazy!
-
We have friends that go down to the Greenbriar one every year. We've always wanted to do it, but man it sure is an expensive trail ride.

If you do end up using stone, go with #11 limestone for your top layer. It packs down really well for riding bikes on it. That's what I have. Depending on the subsurface, you could go #2's if it gets soft, or the 304's if it's fairly firm as previously mentioned. #11 limestone

Central Ohio Competition Riders (COCR) is just outside of Sugar Grove. It's a private club, but when you become a full member (work races and work parties), you have 24/7 access to track and trails. Let me know if you'd like more info. I believe Tecumseh Trails outside of Shawnee is open year round, but has more side by sides than anything.

Sorry to read this. We had a couple riding two up go down in front of us earlier this year on NC215. It just sucks being on any end of something like that. I hope your bud heels up quickly.

I was hoping to reply and join you, but work got in the way.

She won. And the first 200 mile ride yesterday made me happy that she won. Got it used from a guy up in Meatchicken. It came with about $9k in extras/accessories, including the tour pack, upgraded sound, passenger backrest with optional luggage rack, and lots of other upgrades/gadgets. Loving this thing so far.

If you're able to spray the trim, then trim, then walls. If not spraying, walls then trim.

Thanks guys. We went to Iron Pony over the weekend and got to test ride a couple of Indians. Roadmaster and Challenger. We really enjoyed the Challenger, and there was definitely more room for my 6'2", 34" inseam. That Challenger spoke to me. But I do still want to give the Wing a try, even though the wife is totally against it. She loves the Indians.
-
Meaning rent me one for the weekend, or a day. If anyone knows of such a person, I would very much appreciate contact info.
-
I know. I'd love to be able to ride both. I'd like to find someone that has one getting dusty in the corner that would like to make a couple hundred bucks off of it.

Hey guys, I rode with a couple of wings over the weekend (sans rear tour pack?), and am getting closer to getting my wife to look at one with me. She's always said they were old man bikes, and that I needed to wait until I was 50. That was 3 years ago. Now she says 60....lol. It's all good. Ultimately, I can do whatever, but would really prefer her blessing. I've been trying to find a rental, but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know where I could rent one for the weekend, or even a day? I think if I could get her on the back of one, she'd be all in. Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated. Ron

Looks like a great trip. The Dragon was pretty empty last Tuesday and Wednesday. We were in Maggie Valley for the week. Glad you're home safe, but the Vid can suck it. I've got to get my wife on the back of a wing some time.
-
Really sorry to hear this, but glad you're doing as well as you are. I say go after her as well. At least without anymore money out of your pocket if possible. How many times can a person get away with this before suffering the consequences?

Buy Car Private Party In Michigan, Will BMV Care What Sale Price I Put Down?
Ron505 replied to Wease's topic in Passing Lane
Just make sure that you and the seller are on the same page and all should be good. Lucky for us, the seller, in WV, of my recently purchased side by side got in touch with us to see what we put on the Title because the State of Ohio Taxation or whatever the funk it is contacted them asking about the price. -
I did the same, but I don't mind it at all. I'd ride it.
