As posted in the meeting section, there was a car meet held in Newark. I've been hearing All year long how we have to come out there from Alex. They made a Facebook post and it looked like a good amount of cars were going to go. A few of us made the trip to get a break from home depot. With low opes of anything eventful happening in Nirk we rolled out. On the way out there a friend of ours wanted to run his bolt on camaro vs me for a chicken sandwich... This leads to the disaster that makes the night.

We arrive to the meet and it's pretty packed. We get out of the car to stretch after the 40 min hike and in 5 seconds some kid walks up and starts introducing himself, he then asks if we would be down to race. We laugh and say sure. He sarts asking about our cars and he gets the everything is stock answer. He says well I have a good race for your gto, this blue vett...... I laugh and see Adam. We immediately leave this kid talking by himself and meet up with rocky, Adam, ginger, Ryan (red zo6) ad CRs greatest member doc hanging out. Off topic, the Bentley never gets old to look at IMO. Love that car.
Back on topic, so the meet goes as usual, and then the stupid begins.... Squid ward (Sean) takes Leigh out for a ride in his 1g dsm. On que they come back with a broken dsm. Well they look it over for a while and some genius gets the idea to just strap it to a big ass truck and pull it home. Fun fact, Idc how hard you try, you cannot pull an awd car that is stuck in gear. Won't happen. They attempt this failure for about 5 mins before they realize it's my working. Then I get to see "hooking chains" I will find the video for this as well.... A 90s Honda accord vs a big ass f250 that's lifted and all that crazy shit. You already k ow who won...
Now this is where it all gets interesting, so a few friends of ours ask us what cars we have that will run. We jokingly say we have a v6 camaro that will
Run. Some kid pops up, " I'll run him in my civic " we chuckle and ask him to run for $20. He says he doesn't have money, so we say ok what about a mc chicken sandwich. He agrees, they go race.

This car starts a shit storm, they come back and as expected the camaro won. Well instead of the "omg you lied to me that's a z28" the kid says, he sprayed on me. You guys cheated, you never said anything about nitrous... Shocked we rebuttle w/ if you can find the nitrous we will give you $100, but if not you owe us mc chickens on top of the one u already owe us. Then someone else steps up with a gtp and says he will run the camaro for the sandwiches. We lock it in and go back out. While they are racing we ask some kid if he wants to run from a dig... I kid you not his response was yes " but what are we starting at?" we just walk away laughing. The camaro comes back and they still don't know, but the gtp comes back with a bag full of mc chickens. Now everyone is up in arms cause he's now beat three cars with this sprayed v6... I'm talking about pissed off. The first 5 mins will get you the idea of what I'm talkin about

Now while this is going on, we keep hearing how fast Josh's teg is. People say he walks around like he's the shit cause he's got the fastest car. So we talk to josh who wanted nothing to do with us. We tried for 20 mins to get him to run the blue vett. After multiple attempts he finally agrees to run us for $40. He left to go out slicks on and prolly get more c16 to run.

Now we come back and josh was cool about it, shakes Adams hand and goes about his business. Everyone else on his side his butt hurt to death though. Screaming that the vett is sprayed. So we offer the same deal we offered with the camaro. No one took that bet.
All and all it was fun. They are easily some of the most non knowledgable car guys to congigate at a car meet but they were funny and the ones that weren't involved were some of the nicest guys. For entertainment purposes we will make another trip out there in sept.
