  1. Shit, since when did we become a Juggalo nation?
  2. I agree that doesn't seem right, my girlfriend got an xD new last year and it came with 3yr/36k bumper-to-bumper and 5yr/60k powertrain/restraints/rust. Perhaps the OP means it comes with 2yr/25k of free service(oil changes, tune-ups, etc.) in addition to the aforementioned coverage?
  3. Just goes to show: not everything that shifts like a tractor IS a tractor.
  4. I have never ridden one of the carbed fz1's, but for touring a lot of people say that those were the better model. For one, the carbed fz1's I believe got better mileage and I know had a bigger fuel tank (my fuel light comes on at around 140-150 miles), thus allowing them to go farther between stops. Also it seems like the ergos were more leaned toward the touring part of the spectrum on the carbed fz1. There is a wealth of knowledge available on these bikes at http://www.fz1-forum.com/forum/ and http://www.yamahafz1oa.com. I would say the newer fuel injected bikes are stil la great all around bike, just leaned a little bit more toward the sport side of the ST segment. Regardless there is a huge aftermarket for them to customize them to your liking (hard baggage, upgraded suspensions, seats, etc.). If you have any questions specifically related to the newer fz1's I would be glad to answer them. I actually was looking at fz6's when I came across a deal on mine that I couldn't pass up, the 6 is an awesome bike too(better on fuel) if you don't have the need for a 1000.
  5. Where did you find the report? I've been watching the Columbus police site since this happened but I could be looking in the wrong place.
  6. I think an fz1 or an sv1000 would suit you well, I'm obviously slightly biased but have ridden both and either should fit you decently and allow for plenty of "fun" riding. Also they are both available stupid cheap in modern fuel injected form. 06+ fz1 or 03-07 sv1000, either can cost you around 5k or less with low mileage(some sub-4k). Ride as many of the bikes suggested obviously and pick the one that fits you best!
  7. NBC and the (s)Lantern have the car involved as being a VW passat, the witness said SUV?
  8. If I rode in rain more often I'd have probably gone with the 3's, they seem to be very aggressively cut to get rid of water. Pr2's were ~260 shipped from jakewilson for my bike, so the OP can get an idea
  9. I had a pair on my fz1 and they lasted 10k miles, I liked them so much I got the pilot road 2's put on recently and I will say they are even better! If you can afford to go for the 2's I would go with them but the 1's are a good tire too.
  10. R.I.P. Rider Drove through the intersection today, saw a few people out walking around it picking up some small pieces. Not sure if they were family or not but gave them a salute out of respect in case they were. Keeping his family in our thoughts.

    48÷2(9+3)=?

We can all agree it simplifies to 48÷2*12, and from that point anyone who does the division first must read from right to left, much like a terrorist might(since multiplication and division are equal). Anyone who answers 2 is now in the TSDB(terrorist screening database). 288 FTW!
  12. The fz pulled 125.8hp with 67.9 lb-ft of torque. A big thanks to Brian who made sure everything ran smoothly today!
  13. What time were you thinking of leaving from the campus area? I might be able to meet up.
  14. What are your plans for the bike after the econo-chop?
  15. Just imagine the kind, er... SIZE of women you would be attracting by smelling like bacon
  16. I have a savage 12 LRPV in .223 remington and it shoots damn well and I know plenty of guys at the range I go to who also like their savages, but I agree with flounder in that if you're going to try and get into "long range" shooting with a .308 winchester you'd be better off saving up and getting something better designed for those purposes. In the savage line this would mean one of their model 10's or the 12 target series, but for similar prices you could also be looking at the remington 700's which are customizable by nearly any good gunsmith out there and have been winning competitions for years. I am by no means a competition shooter so take my advice as you wish, but I think you could probably in short time be outshooting your equipment with that edge, and nothing is more frustrating than doing everything right on your end and missing a shot due to your equipment. And so begins the money pit of target shooting!
  17. Should have called it urban ninja academy, but with the mario bros. obstacle area I can cut them some slack;)
  18. Congrats! Always been a fan of the eclipse style finishing that several companies have these days, my friend has a sig equinox and the contrast between the dark spots and milled steel just look awesome. Let us know how it shoots for you! also PICS or it didn't happen!
  19. Haha those are pretty awesome and not what I was expecting from the thread title. Hawking v. Einstein was excellent as was Hogan v. Jong-Il. I was expecting a list of some classics like this one...

In case you're not familiar with this part of town I made it from freeway to freeway, edit as needed.

    Bag O Nails

I was probably leaving right around the time you came in, they were packed though so hopefully you got the table we left.

    Bag O Nails

Just ate at the same Old Bag last night! ~6:30pm. Their happy hour(3-7 I think) is pretty awesome and the food is delicious, and I've never had a bad server.
  23. Welcome! what part of galloway? I grew up out near the town of georgesville, closer to west jeff., but went to Westland for high school. Nice choice of bikes, looks like you need to get a Yammie next
