  1. I know where its at, and have heard it from several people. It was the big deal when I went to school there. There is a few other spots on campus that are "haunted", and I think there is a book out there called "Haunted Miami". I do a lot of work on campus and I have heard some good stories from the maintenance staff about stuff that was seen or done on campus during odd times. On western campus, there is Peabody Hall, has a bleeding door, or doors that will swing shut and lock themselves. Cook Place on the northeast side of campus used to be part of a patient / psych ward and you could "hear" the noises of shackles. Fisher Hall which is no longer there had a granite statue that weighed a ton or so get moved from the ground floor to the first floor with no signs of a crane or any other type of rigging over the weekend.
  2. I wanted to turn it off just from the anti coal campaign. He sure is passionate about what is going on and the lack of cooperation between both parties.
  3. Try Middletown Sportsman Club. I think you have to be a member to shoot their range, but from what I gather it's nice. I just shoot sporting clays there http://www.middletownsportsmensclub.com/

I ran over a black cat on the way to meet my brother for a planned all day ride. I was 15 minutes from the house when I hit it. Not a very superstitious person, but I just went home and called it a day. If the cat would have crossed in front of me, or been a different color I would have not gave it a second thought, but running it over just seemed like it would be pushing it.
  5. Is there a pond nearby? Or a body of water? I've seen guys wrap it in a blanket, as to keep it calm, tie a string in a spot so you can pull the cage out, then just toss the cage in a pond for 10 minutes just to be safe. Crack open a couple beers as you wait. Racoons have to eat too. Or a nice warm bowl of antifreeze if you have the time.
  6. HAHA. He sounded like the broadcaster that announced the Hindenburg.

  9. I might be giving you a call in the future. Got some questions for ya. I'm still debating on the truck. I would most likely have the bike done (its been about 6 yrs from the previous tune, so it probably needs some adjusting)
  10. Nice, Love those CTS-V's Do they do tuning too? I've got a 04 Silverado I'm thinking of doing some engine work too. ( Cam, different heads, port and polish, full exhaust, air intake) Or I might just buy a new truck, I'm still debating, I need to see how work is looking.

  14. I'm in Hamilton / Fairfield area and we got about 6-7".
  15. For myself, I had to go through a 5 year apprenticeship program that met after work from 5:30 - 8:30/9, twice a week. Started the week after Labor day, and ended at the end of April.
  16. I think your bad stigma is on the teamsters, UAW, and factory workers. It seems your construction unions have been pretty decent. I have some friends that worked as laborers on the Rockies Express Pipeline that came through this area. One was in charge of the lay down yard, so his duties were to load/unload trucks, move equipment with a forklift or Lull. But if he had to move a truck for anything he had to radio out and get a teamster to come and move the truck because they were so hellbent on trying to keep as many guys as they could out there.
  17. I think they were employees for Dodge. IIRC they would go out for lunch and stop by a park to drink and smoke it up then come back to work. I think it was a private citizen that caught / took pictures of them.
  18. Gotcha, I just read through the thread and didn't even pay attention to dates. I'm in the construction industry too, and to me thats just sad to have the mentality that he had. I try to be respectful and nice to everyone I meet in this business, just because you never know what the future will bring.
  19. Dyno Brian I had my TLR dyno tuned about 6 years ago, and it was done with the Yoshimura box. Since its been a while I was thinking about having it done, how do you go about doing it since it was done with the Yosh box. Here is what's been done. Full Yosh exhaust, BMC filter, PAIR valves removed, Ivan's TRE, Baseplate mod, and maybe something else by then.
  20. Anyone else curious as to what profession "that dude" has? Just from his remarks here, it's that mentality that makes everyone want to hate unions even worse than they already do. It would seem that to get the better PR (public relations) that one would try to throw some insight into a conversation to help people understand how unions go about working. The union mentality and the negative stigma around it is going to be hard to beat, and in this country where there are more non-union companies than union, one would think they would try to promote themselves as being workers. Not the getting paid $40 to go hide, while everyone else in here is getting $25. BTW I am a union person, and I try to be respectful to everyone I deal with in my industry union or not. If I can help promote us, then maybe we can get some more skilled workers or newbies into this industry, then the better off we are. But if we keep catering to the lazy, or gloat about how little we get done then my friends unions are digging their own grave.
