This is exactly correct. I had a discussion with Ken Hanson from Buckeye Firearms about this topic and thats exactly what he said. They are perfectly legal to own, but put it into your gun and your a felon. I expect that this law was made as a way to get people who've already committed a felony more time in jail, and not necessarily to be a primary offense. But I am way to cute to go to prison, so why risk it. If you really want one, just register a lower as an SBR and your good to go.

The 10mm is pretty brutal in a glock 20. I cant imagine it in a compact. It is a wicked cartridge, but as JBlosser says, its expensive. I believe it is balistically similar to a .41 magnum.

Well my range put the kabash to a machine gun shoot. Apparently they dont have good enough insurance for it on the range, so the trustees told the manager that the only person who may shoot an mg on the range now is the guns owner. So no rentals. So if any of you guys have private land/place to shoot and want to set up an mg shoot, send me a message. Working on a few more guns still, might start doing rentals at blackwing or something if they would let me for parties.

yeah I think the AP stuff is military only. From what I have been told, the civilian 5.7 ammo has ballistics similar to .22 magnum. FNH factory ammunition will be around $23 a box, and that is from one of my more expensive ammo distributors. If you shopped around, you might be able to get it a dollar or two cheaper.

Stupid Glock won't sell them to dealers, so you have to buy one that's gotten filtered out through a police department. HK has a similar policy for belt fed machine guns which is really disappointing.
