I dont support the commercialization of supporting the troops. Buying a button, magnet, bracelet, etc doesn't just automatically make you support the troops especially if money of the profits of the sale goes to actually support the troops. While I support the men and woman of the military, I do NOT support the war (police action). I remember my mom going to the craft store to get yellow ribbon to put around the tree, now "support the troops" is a huge industry. I prefer to donate to military support charities, so you wont see a "support the troops" button, yard sign, magnet, bracelet, etc.

As long as the dealer had that form the firearm could be traced back to the original owner.

No they are not registered. The only registry is at gun dealer where you filled out the NICS paperwork. The BATFE doesn't know what make, model, serial number you bought. I am not sure how long the dealers are required to keep the nics form. All the BATFE knows is "X" number of long gun and handgun checks have been run on me. For that matter just because you go through the NICS check doesn't mean you bought a firearm.

You could probably get $350 or more if you put it on a gun classifieds website, and not ask for Id. People who can't pass a background check pay top dollar. Also when considering pricing a firearm I don't consider the sales tax I paid inti the equation. There isn't a line for sales tax reimbursement in the gun blue book.

If the other party doesn't have a CHL I prefer to do a bill of sale, not required just personal preference

I don't ever go to gander mountain to look at firearms that I have no plans on buying. Cabelas is okay I can buy the stuff elsewhere for cheaper 90% of the time. I do watch their clearence section.

I'm not a cabelas fan, they are very proud of what they sell. Their prices are usually high to say the least.

I was at fin 2 weeks ago, and I didn't see any deals. I looked at some 38spl but I didn't recognize the manufacturer "Independence."

Maybe it will create a couple jobs, so the "Anoited One" can claim a recovery.
