  1. This place would be a "little" boring if he's not around.....no matter how "short" the ban is, I think it would be "low" of Casper to ban him
  2. No leaders for the slow & medium groups yet?
  3. I use CompAcc as a huge bike/gear fitting room. Check out the styles and sizes I like, go home, order elsewhere online
  4. I learned the hard way, in the dirt as a kid. My Dad bought me a little thumper when I was 11, didn't show me shit....he just took it off the truck, showed me the controls and said have at it......after lots of scrapes, bruises, couple broken bones, and a wicked laceration, I eventually got pretty good at it. I don't recommend the sink or swim method, but it's how it went for me. If you get that course finished, you'll have a much bigger understanding of the fundamentals AND you'll be less likely to dump your own bike. If you put theirs on the ground, much less lost.....just sayin
  5. So you went shoulder afterall, looks good!
  6. Damn, I missed out on this deal........congrats AJ!
  7. This can be the norm as well. I followed bmwnut on his big tourer last year in one of the slow groups, and there were a couple switchbacks that I would have blown if not for following his racey lines at times Wife and I will start with the medium group, but pending how well she does with her new bike decides whether we stick with it or fall back to the slow group. She wont really want to wring her new bike to hard, still working on break-in. The recent rain and schedule conflicts have killed our plans to get it over 500 miles by now
  8. No doubt Jack, and I'd say this should be everyone's mo on all the roads we're riding next weekend.
  9. I'd say slow group with 2-up, "maybe" medium. Depends on your lady, does she maintain her position or follow your lean when you dig into corners? 3 hours worth of hard cornering and floggin straights may prove to be hard on you, your bike, and your girl if you ride a group faster than you should.....not to mention the reduced flickability and increased braking time/distance. If it were me, being that far from home and having a 2nd life in your hands.....play it safe bro
  10. That would be a heck of a trip for a purchase! Is a sweet ride though, monster HP
  11. So, I take it you're going bagger style without the topbox? Gonna look pretty cool, especially with the 21" front. Hoblick's HD bagger was a killer lookin' ride, and I'm not an HD fan at all -- post up plenty of pics when she's done!
  12. We went to visit both of Piatt's castles, pretty cool place and history galore. Nice shots
  13. Meh, I'm moderately content with the level of moderation by mods who moderate the goings on around here. OR is a relatively harmless environment for the most part, and can self sustain the majority of the time. Seems, per Ben's list of login timestamps, that the mods are doing their part Nick, did you see something that tickled your pickle the wrong way or was there just an abundance of alcohol induced overthinking last night?
  14. Damn, good news AND bad news......glad the bike is running at least!! Find a pump in the psi range you want? Wondering how expensive they are, never had to change one out myself.
  15. What Sam said, or get up to go to the shitter and leave some pooey paper hangin' outta yer britches
  16. Congratulations! Gonna make the Epic Ride?
  17. worm poo, or dirt to the layperson,
  18. I was just bustin yer chops, I figured it was related to the moves. Kudos on the weightloss so far man, you trimmed down quite a bit when we chatted at the LYT m&g last month. Btw, are you bunking with us at the cabin for the Epic Ride? Paul figured you were but we never heard from you about yay/nay. You and Alan can share a bed if you're horny enough , otherwise one of you fellas would need to crash on the couch
  19. Thanx broseph, its a slow process for me this year but I'm down about 20lbs since March. Finding time to blow the dust off my mtn bike is tough right now, and the only rmotorcycle riding time Jen and I are getting is mainly commuting the scenic routes home from work 2 bands practicing/playing out/writing material is hogging up free time this year, and with the weather breaking I'm squeezing in yardwork and some remodeling when I can too. Sucks being so busy sometimes but I'm glad to have fun hobbies to keep me out of trouble, and they cure boredom ( if ever I can find the time to get bored ). I'm about a 42 pant from 46 over the winter, but I surely miss my 36's. I'll get there again, just staying focused on my ultimate goal and taking it day by day. I really stepped up my efforts at work to help shed pounds ( which my boss loves ) since I can't always make time to workout after work.....it is helping, but more like baby steps compared to a more devout exercise program. I just try to stay the course with my dieting, thats the hardest part for me.
  20. You've definitely lost quite a bit man, lookin good, no homo. Target the stomach and love handles with mid section exercise to isolate more on the problem areas. What you've done so far is working though
  21. I'm afraid to try it with the 14, it's a porkchop of a bike at 500lbs and the OEM kickstand is a bit malnourished to be swinging that much weight around. I've seen guys do this trick though, up to the owner to risk it I guess
  22. Get a bike cover on that Ninja, James.
