  1. THIS, I am sensing.... I'll check it out and promise to keep my absurdity to a minimum I wont disrupt the harmony of the pros with my boundless idiocy. I'll be sure to keep my moments of rifle retardism here for you to pick apart; exposing my obvious, yet self proclaimed, lacking knowledge in all things affordable-entry-level-bolt-action:rolleyes: In all honesty, and no deliberate sarcasm.....I do appreciate the insight and site link
  2. Whoa! I thought this was a gun forum that played host to some riders? Thanks for the link
  3. I like that model Ruger and decently priced, but no .223
  4. I'm researching as well as asking here and a few other forums, so there's homework being done - I don't solely rely on opinions cast here, just like to throw personal input into the mix from experienced shooters. I'd inherited a Rem 30.06 bolt that was primarily a shelf ornament, but I did shoot it as a teen - it was traded off a few years ago for something more home defense oriented. Other than that piece, I've little clue as to what I'm getting into.
  5. Got some hardware that should work fine, tools are in the truck, should be closer to 530pm before I get there. BUT......there would be 4 homes to choose from at an intersection, so which one would be yours sir?
  6. Looking for future purchase reference info from you rifle saavy folk. Something in .223 to share with current bangbangs. No less than 20" bbl. Scope pkg included would be nice, but possibly upgrade that later once I get familiar with the weapon. Not wanting to break the bank either, somewhere in the $500-$700 range. Poking around Gander Mountain online and finding interest in these, or a facsimile thereof.... Howa Hogue Targetmaster Remington 700 SPS Axis Predator Anyone have inhand experience with any of these? Pro's/Con's?
  7. I concur - many a case of LK's back in the early 90's.........and it was only $10 for 2 reasons.... 1) the bottles were only 8oz? something like that 2) because you were throwing it right back up later, so no way to get away with overcharging
  8. Weird little tone gen. Fun find
  9. Warrior Racing in TippCity built a Supra for a guy that scattered the original powerplant. They stuffed in a 4.7L V8 from a Tundra and tuned/turbo'd it beyond belief - crazy power around 650hp iirc. Customer couldn't get it to stay hooked even up through 3rd gear, so he had to pedal it lightly but couldn't have been happier. Hoped he planned to drift it, if not he better have had a lot of stock in a tire company because that bitch was quite a smoker:D

Watch yourself Tiger......she's a tiny little thing, so to paint a picture......think windsock flappin from the grips So you'll definitely be at a weight DISadvantage
  11. Thanx Lee, we "should" have these metrics onhand since we're a Mercedes owned dealer.....AND we just got done with inventory last week so shit better be on point!

Yeah, and its about the same blue as her car She likes blue, but she's liking the pearl white now too
  13. I'll bring tools and spare hardware and get ya fixed up, gives me an excuse to check out that Yosh slipon while I'm there
  14. I'm out of work at 4pm in Huber, then tack on a relaxed 45min total commute. So, I'd say to your place about 5ish pending when the wife can get out ( we carpool since we both work in Huber )
  15. WAIT! What is this? An F2 or 1000? There's a huge difference
  16. According to parts fische, you'll need a 10mm flanged locknut for that bolt. Bad news is it doesn't call out thread pitch, so the bolt you'd need to match that nut is M10x260mm long. Preferrably 12.9 grade stuff but 10.9 would probably suffice. I will see what we have at the shop tomorrow and bring whats in stock with me to try. Doubt that Honda dealers around here would have this particular piece in stock for a '91 CBR, but Fastenal or local hardware could.
  17. I'm thinking the adjacent side of that frame leg is tapped as well as nutted? Will have to do some fische work online tomorrow and get a better look at whats supposed to be there
  18. Shoot me your address and tomorrow is possible for me. You have tools right? Or do I need to carry some?
  19. Looks too far forward to be the swingarm pivot bolt, as long as the threads aren't dicked on it I say run her back in. Google up some torque specs first though, you dont want to wring the threads out of THAT bolt.
  20. Whoa! Thats looks like an engine mount bolt!
  21. Love that VFR, looks ready to ride coast to coast!

You're likely right. By the end of 2013, used 250R's '08+ will be down a bit more on price due to the 300's demand
