With the corners being as banked as they are, it's not too bad to keep corner speed up enough to keep it feeling planted. I doubt you'd have any issues. If I can do it, you can too

Moto3 definitely has race long action. Tons of draft passing and tight formations, not to mention the crazed action. Moto 3 Dutch Crazy finish line: https://youtu.be/SAjd50OoAO4

I'm hoping so. But the 2 days we did get were worth the trip

I failed to answer your question Doc. Gearing is tall for the Dragon, but the bike handles well for what it weighs. As you know, it will obviously never flickably corner like a 600 or even a VFR, but it outcorners any cruiser there. And since I carry more ballast and have ridden mine considerably longer than you yours, the bike's weight seems less noticeable to me.

Had to hit 1st gear a couple times on the ZX14 due to traffic, but held 2nd gear most everywhere else on the Dragon. All other routes were 2nd and 3rd gear with no problems

You did bro, rain just slowed us down some. Thursday and Friday were the best riding I've ever done on the street. Appreciate the tow

Agreed. Wife and I both want to hit MidO again, but at this point the schedule is looking like next year. We already plan to head to Putnam in August, but not much left in the cards this season since we blew the wad on a pair of sumos

I shot trap and skeet back in the later 80s with an old Ithaca Mod37 20ga pump, basically because sometimes I needed more than 2 shots, and it was my all purpose hunting/clay gun/only gun. Made do with it and had a blast, but that gun is long gone since my teens. We have trap boxes at our local F&G, but I've not been to any of their shoots yet. Plan to give it a whirl with an 887 26" Nitromag once again sometime soon though

Gotcha. Wasn't sure if you were familiar with the place or not, so just passing info along. You just never know who you can trust, so we try and take measures to cover our interests. I really liked the layout there, and all the comradery was nice even though we were the only 4 sportbikers there in a sea of cruisers and Harleys. It is set in a dry county, so no alcohol sales but they don't mind if you byob at all. I'd recommend it to anyone, and we may go back there next time ourselves.

The bunkhouses are ok but they're not bathroom equipped, so middle of the night shits would incur a walk to the lodge where the community baths are. Also, the bunkhouses are rented on a per bed basis, so if all the beds aren't taken you dont know who else you're bunking with. Less security for your gear/personables. We rented a shared cabin, where 2 bedrooms of up to 4 people share a personal bath and each room has it's own key, which is more private and secure. Just sayin, if you can get 3 or 4 guys to commit, it's fairly priced. The 4 of us stayed 3 nights for a total of $585, so it was less than $50 a night for each of us

How I wish. Not sure the wife could pull off another get away from work. We have already discussed picking up a few cheap acres to throw a small cabin on for multiple inexpensive visits each year though

I sort of get that, factoring trustworthy companions and all. Wasn't the case for us, wife's job and dice rolling with weather is what drove our decision. Although I'd confidently ride ANYWHERE with granda080 and Oldschool. Good guys and very trustworthy, helpful, experienced riders, and just fun fellas to hang with. Thanks again you two. Definitely took the guesswork out of our inaugural Gap visit.

Yeah, like Oldschool said. Figured we were going to hit a sweet spot in the weather by going later in the month. The locals we talked to said early-mid May or waiting until September as it rains most all summer. Definitely make the trip man. We started kicking ourselves over waiting so long as soon as we got there. It's one of THE best times you'll ever have on 2 wheels
