There's a handful of members here that live around Logan/Hocking region. Post up a ride thread in the events section and invite them out. Or, just come to the Epic ride Sept 12th and meet a bunch of members
  2. I know it's likely a crapshoot this early, but the weather forecasted for the 12th looks to be a promising mid 50s morning ride there and peaking in the high 70s. Fingers crossed for perfect weather and a larger turnout than May's ride
  3. Wtf? The winner isn't even listed in the poll, but he did start this thread
  4. I run the same Buell drop pegs on my ninja, but never bothered to adjust the rear brake pedal. I can count on one hand how many times I've used my rear brake in the 6 years I've owned my bike. 24k miles and the oem rear pads still look new
  5. Fighting sleep, but here's the western OR meetup thread....fill 'er up with attendees, folks. http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/108180-western-ohio-meetup-for-fall-epic-ride-9122015/
  6. Ok folks, let's meet at Competition Accessories around 8:30am before fueling up at the Shell station on the corner of Leffel Ln and S Limestone ( Rt72). Competition Accessories 343 W Leffel Ln Springfield, OH 45506 Kickstands up and hitting the eastbound I-70 pipeline @ 9am sharp. Since the new route is based east of Zanesville, I'll move the midway meet point so we're not deviating from the interstate too much, but still giving some southern Ohio and Cbus area riders another collection point to hookup with an OR group. Plus give us westerners a 20-30 minute break off the dreaded slab. We should be at the secondary meet point just before 10am. Eastland Shell Mini Mart 2191 South Hamilton Road Columbus, OH 43232 Plan to head back out about 10:30ish to ensure we reach the Epic Ride meet point in New Concord by 11:30am. Derek and his better half will be supplying food to grill out there in the lot at the meet spot after the ride. And with the later time of day that this is happening, we plan to eat/chat for a bit there instead of heading for a restaurant before heading west towards home.
  7. No worries Derek. You're doing a great job with all the planning and helping with the route changes. What works for some, wont work for others - and that's the only fair way to do it. Ever changing. Honestly, one of the last Dreamrides ( pre Epic ride ) that was based out of Newark was the most centralized meet point to date. May be a good idea to try there again next season or 2. I'd even be game to trailer up towards Mansfield/Lexington for an Epic ride there ( if there's some savvy locals that could feed in good routes ) on a weekend so we could FINALLY meet more of our NEO riders. Likely be an overnighter for us, but I'd still dig it. Our biggest problem is we're having to leave home around 6am to make it to the final meet point in time, and without slabbing it would likely add an hour'ish to the journey. Stopping twice in route to help grow our group, meeting others from western/central doesn't help our travel time either, but I enjoy congregating stray riders and giving them a bigger pack to ride in with. Safety in numbers, and all that. In all, we'll PROBABLY make it again this year. Definitely gonna miss my sweep, but AJ has a solid commitment to keep - and a huge congrats to him on his wife-to-be. Found himself a keeper. My wife can sweep for me if need be. This month has been plagued with OT, and this is hell week at work, be 70+ hrs, but I'll be back to straight 8s next week and have time to do some last minute planning for the western OR meet up. Actually, I'll likely copy and past the Spring Epic WOR meet thread since the routes the same.
  8. This is a good deal for a monster, purpose-built bike. GLWS
  9. My thoughts exactly. I wish Indy had been more fortuitous so we'd have a semi-local track to watch some of the best riders on the planet. The idea of having to fly to get to a GP race just sucks. If I have to fly to watch a race, I may as well go balls deep and head to most any of the other races off of this continent.
  10. I dont dick around anywhere close to a semi. On the bike, nor in a cage. Way too many what-ifs playing against me. Ever see a recap blow apart at 70mph while inflated to 125psi and frag multiple vehicles? On a bike that would likely equal death and dismemberment. Get in their mirrors, get their attention, and get past them safe and speedily.
  11. I know at our dealership ( class 8 truck ) you can call our parts dept with the last 6 of the vin, and about $8 later you have a key cut to code. Hard to believe bike dealers aren't as handy
  12. Cant the key code be ID'd through the vin? I know dealerships can do it for cars/trucks. Try calling your local Suzuki dealer
  13. Sexiest of Triumph's lineup. Very nice ride. GLWS
  14. V2 torque is a good time, especially in a 1k. Congrats, she's a beauty
  15. Upload them to a hosting site and then simply link them here
  16. Brock's may be pricier, but he tends to get more hp than most any other company. If your going to spend any money on exhaust, you're better off spending more to get the full system and PC so at least you'll get power with that noise
  17. Naked forks. It's obvious you clean your bike since there's chrome all over it, so just clean the fork leg instead of it's chrome shield
  18. Here ya go. Cut some weight and give it some powaaaar http://www.brocksperformance.com/brocknm/templates/bpp1.aspx?articleid=655&zoneid=25
  19. Sucks to hear about your new bike, but glad you weren't hurt too badly. Hopefully the fool cager will learn from it, and you'll find the bike you want soon.
  20. You gave it away with bread basket and scooter wheels, plus you mentioned it a time or 2 in other new bike threads. Pics of it wheelying, or gtfo
