  1. The tethers come with the x-grip now.

Hmm... didn't get one with the one I ordered last month. But they are a great investment. I've had my phone jump out twice - once in the rain when I hit a large bump on the interstate, and once landing a wheelie a little hard.

  2. We've been having a blast Monday we did 335 miles on the Cherohala Dragon loop then down Moonshiner 28 to Walhalla and back. Unfortunately the hot dog bbq place was closed down there.

Yesterday was a short day about 250 miles. We did Road to nowhere and checked out the tunnel then some of 28 again and wayah road then one of my friends got arrested for 106 in a 55 on 28 right after we talked about slowing it down on the sweepers expecting cops. The trooper and magistrate were pretty cool with him though and are letting him out w/o bail, he's allowed to ride, they set his court date early so he can go Friday and the trooper said he's going to talk to the DA about lesser charges so it doesn't affect his cdl. Then after that we hit the dragon a few times. I got to ride my buddies little 94 cbr 400 for a bit that was an interesting little bike.

Today we're going to head out blueridge parkway to little switzerland and do the snake or what ever it was. Maybe head out to the Linville Cove Viaduct. Looks like we may do 380 miles today.

Did they still have the "Road Closed" signs up at the falls?

  3. I was on Windows 7 Pro on my laptop. Upgraded last weekend. 10 has been fine since I ditched the tiles and Cortana. Seems slightly faster. Might pull out my old desktop in the closet and strip to down to a video editing machine now.

  4. Nice bike. Friend of mine has a Silver one with Leo Vince exhaust. One of the meanest sounding bikes you will ever hear. I don't know what it is, but at idle that thing sounds like it's got a huge cam loping in there.

  5.

My friend traded in his 06 GSXR 600 on a GSX-S1000 and has some spare bits to sell.

2006 and 2007 GSX-R 600 Factory Suzuki Clutch Kit 21400-36810 brand new in unopened box. Kit Includes everything. Clutch plates, steel plates, springs, and case cover gasket for a total clutch overhaul. - $75 obo

2006 to 2010 GSX-R 600 & 750 SW Motech Blaze Saddle Bags. Literally hardly any use. All of the hardware is included as well as rain liners. - $200 obo

Harbor Freight trailer. I believe it is 40 x 48. Has rail down the middle for a sportbike. Fits my old SV1000S and my current FZ09 perfectly. Comes with extended ramp and spare tire under tongue. Pulls great. Nice for pulling behind a car. - $300

For another $100 I will throw in the heavy duty red rail seen in photo and a pair of 17 inch wheels I was gonna put on and never got around to doing. I'll try to get a pic of them tomorrow.

Right now we are planning a Iron Pony trip in 3 weeks and could bring them with. The bags and clutch can be shipped at your cost or we can meet somewhere. PM for details.

  6. Direct TV sucks the big chubby.  But AT&T Uverse rocks.

I don't understand why they were pushing Direct TV and not also UVerse. From the salesperson I spoke with, they were allowing Unlimited with Direct TV so you could stream the shows.... So why not allow it with UVerse? I can't get UVerse in BFE, so I never thought of that til now....

  7. PR4s hands down. My current set has 5k on them and prolly 5k left on the rear. They handle the FZ09 like a dream. You can take them cross country like I did and still tear up the curves. On my trip last summer I put 4500 miles on thru 100° temps in Oklahoma, blasted thru the mountains of Colorado and the Black Hills of South Dakota, chased storms thru Minnesota on I-90 at 80+ mph, froze my ass off in 36° temps in Wisconsin making my Red Eye ferry across Lake Michigan. Only once did I have a traction scare - on a dirt road in New Mexico after a rain checking out an old abandoned church. All of that was fully loaded and 2 up. Absolutely amazing tires.

  8. Didn't read all the way thru, but wanted to say they recently revamped the LC9 and made it striker fired. The old LC9 was hammer fired and had a long, heavy pull. Not a real problem for me, but hard for my 5 ft, 100 lbs Fiancée to keep on target. If the LC9S is anything like the SR9C, it's gonna be a killer CCW. I carry her LC9 and SR9C as much as I carry my XD40SC.
