Air mattress pump should work fine. I keep a 12v one in my boat just for that use.I'm full of A LOT of hot air but don't think it would still be enough.
Anyway it looks like theres a chance I can use my shop vac to get this thing blown up. Also have a friend lending me an air mattress pump to see if that will work

We were in Box 22. Crappy chairs are gone by now according to our usher.View from B penthouse box 8 was decent for the front straight and turns 1-3.
crappy folding chairs though.
-
And IMS is throwing lots of money at the seating. Anyone that has been in the Penthouse seating in like Section B knows about the awful folding chair seating. That's all gone this week. We lucked out at were in some of the trial seats up there. Typical ball stadium green folding wall mounted seats with cup holders. They were awesome for Sunday! Plenty of room, all day comfort, and a beer holder!!!!

Great weekend here also. Only hit 2 spots of rain on the way home, although one was a downpour. But made it home without a problem.

Riding or driving? If riding, come in off the North gate and get free parking on the back stretch. If driving alot of the houses on the west side have race day parking. Track might have parking too. One of the other guys would be better to tell ya where that is. I've always rode in.Okay guys help me out, having never been there. Is parking like going to a Indians game, you just find a spot with a guy close to the place charging 20 bucks then walk the rest of the way in? I see emptiness around the track on google maps, is that parking?

Great day. We're whipped.

Got ya. That's what I'm hoping for. MotoAmerica being out behind the museum.Meant MotoAm, sorry. XRs were mentioned earlier so I had it in my head wrong

I don't think the XR1200s are there this year, are they?XR1200 pits will likely end up where the Ebike pits were last year, just behind the paddocks. But that's just a guess
-
It was pretty awesome, saw some riders, tons of umbrella girls. But they were shared with the group we were there with. So time down there was a crunch. Best times to see the riders is before or after a practice, which we could never get a hold of them for. But the other people got all kinds of signatures.
My 15 seconds of fame: 1:13 in, I'm getting my pic taken in the paddock.

We have pit passes for the weekend. Haven't had them since 09-10 races. We'll see if it's worth it.
-
So the AMA guys will be in the Paddock area too? Not setup like the XR1200 pits?
-
I'll try not to dump stuff on ya from the penthouse above.B stand it is for race day.
B08 seat 3 I believe. Who's the poor bastard that's ended up next to me?

Not a lot of members hailing from the NW Ohio area, so apparently the riding sucks up there?
Yea, riding sucks up here in the land of square mile blocks.

It works out for us. I pay for our hotel, my friend pays for tickets. We break even.

Hampton Inn downtown has parking right next door. Right on Meridian. Great place to enjoy the festivities. Residence Inn also has on site parking, but like 4 blocks from downtown. Easy walking distance.Yeah there are a couple places like that downtown, though the JW and the Crowne Plaza both have parking right next to the hotel. JW is like $400/night though so I doubt I'll be staying there. I'm also considering out west of town as well, although if people are planning shenanigans downtown on Saturday night I'd like to avoid having to drive/ride anywhere afterwards. I'm one of those weirdos that won't set foot near a vehicle after I've had any alcohol at all.
-
Also, be sure to verify parking if you look for a hotel downtown. Some have offsite parking in a parking garage. Can't remember which place, but their parking was like 3 blocks away from the hotel. No way I'm lugging my gear that far. Not even getting into the security issue of it.

https://www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com/events/motogp/fan-info/parking-tailgating/motorcycle-parkingProbably riding unless a hurricane decides to swing through again. If parking for bikes isn't an issue I'll probably look for a room somewhat close to downtown, assuming any rooms are left for under $300/night.

Reason to check the date codes on your tires
in Dumpster
Posted
And in case anyone doesn't know how to read date codes - last 4 digits of the DOT code are the week it was made in the year it was made. Example: 1215 for the last 4 digits would be the 12th week of 2015. Little extra info: the first 2 digits (actually letters) are where the tires were made. Only buy tires that start with BF. Thanks!
