  1. Alpinestars now has a series of products to cover your audio needs off the bike. This aptly named Sound Series of headphones includes a DJ-style over-the-ear set of cans called the Tank. The Alpinestars Tanks headphones are designed to get crisp, clear highs and deep, booming bass from the audio device of your choice. They deliver this crystal clear sound in comfort thanks to the soft padding on the headband and on each earcup. With two interchangeable cords, the Tank headphones are also versatile. One is a roughly 4-foot long coiled cable that can stretch to over twice its original length, while the second is a lightweight, 4-foot straight cable with a built-in microphone for your mobile device. Further adding to the versatility is the ability to fold and swivel each ear cup for one-sided listening, or to fit them into the included storage pouch. Available in Hi-viz Yellow or Carbon Black/Red. You can get more information about, or order a set of Alpinestars Tank Headphones by getting in touch with Nathan at 866.931.6644 x 809. If email is more convenient, feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The Alpinestars Tank Headphones are shown here in Hi-viz Yellow.
  2. Jorge Lorenzo isn’t typically known for outlandish helmet designs, but he definitely did things a little differently during his home race this year. He and HJC teamed up with Spanish artist Anna Vives to bring out something special for the Grand Prix de Catalunya, and the result was the Graffiti. The original, race-worn (and race-winning) helmet was auctioned off and sold for more the $35,000, with the proceeds going to Anna’s charity that benefits of those suffering with Down syndrome. This graphic is now available as the HJC RPHA-10 Lorenzo Graffiti helmet and HJC has agreed to continue their partnership with Anna’s charity by donating a portion of the proceeds earned from the sale of each replica as well. If you are interested in the HJC RPHA-10 Lorenzo Graffiti helmet, you can get more information by calling MIKE at 866.931.6644 x 804 or by contacting him through this forum. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! About the HJC RPHA-10 helmet: The shell of the RPHA-10 is an advanced composite that combines carbon fiber, fiberglass epoxy, aramid epoxy and organic fibers in a precisely aligned weave that excels in strength, energy absorption and weight savings. HJC calls this their Performance Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) construction and it saves weight by reducing unnecessary overlap and resin build-up. The PIM shell is not only strong and light, but it is also aerodynamic and quiet thanks to extensive CAD design and wind-tunnel testing. A hot helmet is an uncomfortable helmet, so HJC made sure that the RPHA-10 is able to keep your head cool and comfortable in warm weather. Ventilation comes from two large intakes on the top of the head, and one on the chin. All three are highly adjustable to allow for variable amounts of airflow depending on the conditions. These vents move a lot of air through the helmet without the higher noise levels that can come from some ventilation systems. Inside the shell, the full-removable/washable SilverCool liner helps wick away moisture and features a Gingko extract coating for a natural anti-bacterial guard. All RPHA-10 helmets come with HJC’s newest HJ-20 Pinlock shield and insert for the best in fog prevention. These shields also feature an easy to use center locking mechanism that prevents the shield from accidentally popping open if you turn your head to look behind you or to the sides. Like all HJC RPHA-10 helmets, the Lorenzo Graffiti comes with a Pinlock ready shield and a Pinlock insert for the best in fog-free performance. This special edition helmet also comes with a Lorenzo sticker sheet.
  3. Sure, what's her email I could send her an email too...
  4. Shoei has been coming out with some sick lids lately. Can't go wrong no matter when you decide to update.
  5. There is always at least one graphic in the Shoei RF line of helmets with a more sinister theme, and the first one for the RF-1200 is called the Phantasm. The Shoei RF-1200 Phantasm features a smooth, matte finish with a ghostly skull theme. Setting this theme apart are the ethereal holographic bits throughout the white and the black. They aren’t obvious at first, but they appear and disappear depending on the viewing angle, which adds extra depth to look of the Phantasm.
  6. The RF-prefix has long been a staple of the Shoei line-up. This long-running series of helmets that goes back roughly 30 years, with each new helmet bringing about better protection, comfort and noise-reduction. The most recent of the RF’s was the RF-1100 and even now, four years after its release, it is still one of the most popular helmets produced by Shoei. That is about to change, however, since there is a brand new RF helmet available in the RF-1200. Like previous updates to the RF line, the RF-1200 is a big step up from the outgoing model. One of the more noticeable changes at a glance is the reduction in shell size. The new shell is more aerodynamic and sleek looking than the predecessor thanks to extensive wind tunnel testing. The more compact shell also serves as an indication of the lower weight that the helmet carries. Shoei claims that the RF-1200 is the lightest SNELL approved helmet that they have produced, which feels like an accurate statement once you put the helmet on. Inside the helmet you will find your head surrounded by a plush comfort liner that efficiently wicks away moisture and dries quickly. These moisture wicking properties are aided by the numerous vents running throughout the shell - five fully adjustable intakes at the front and a large exhaust port running through the spoiler at the back. Another area that obviously received a lot of attention is the shield and eyeport. Shoei developed the brand new CWR-1 shield for the RF-1200, and it comes with a number of new features. The first isn’t a feature of the shield itself, but the base plates that hold it in place. The new QR-E base plates secure the shield using pivoting quick-release mechanisms that make shield changes even faster than before. While this might not sound like much, improving on the already great base plates from before is worth noting. The shield itself features reinforcements that run along the top and bottom in order to add rigidity. Ever felt a cheap shield flex when opening or closing it? That is not an issue with the RF-1200. This structural strength also helps keep a better seal around the eyeport. Every RF-1200 comes with a Pinlock insert for the absolute best in fog prevention. Overall, the Shoei RF-1200 is a worthy successor to those that came before it, and is certainly one of the better all around helmet options available. There are a wide variety of graphics and solid colors available, so be sure to get in touch with us if you’re interested. Just give Nathan a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 809, or contact him through this forum for more info. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The RF-1200 is shown here in the Beacon Black/Red (TC-1) graphic. Three adjustable vents run across the forehead. The rear spoiler is plastic for weight savings, and incorporates an adjustable exhaust vent. New baseplates make shield changes even faster than ever. The liner is plush everywhere that you touch. Shoei’s high-level of quality is readily apparent inside the RF-1200. MSRP - $485.99 - $589.99 (depending on color/graphic)
  7. Here's a link to a quick walk-around video of the Ducati Panigale 1199S offered here.
  8. Shoei's line-up has been updated for fall, and that means new graphics for the GT-Air. Here's a look at the Wanderer version in matte black/red. This same matte black scheme is also available with accent colors fluorescent yellow or white.
  9. He's got a cycling team he owns/manages that he's going to put more effort into. I believe his current sub, Yonny Hernandez, has the top spot for his seat next year, although that was just speculation from the BBC crew during the race.
  10. Here’s a closer look at the rear graphics of the two newly released colors for the Shoei X-12 Daijiro Kato helmet.
  11. Will also fit 2006-2007 bikes as well. These are the same just 10mm longer.
  12. I tested these out in our Michigan winter (~20F) with one of the dirt bikes, I was warmer outside than I was inside. These are the bee's knees.
  13. Blizzaks FTW. I change them out when the average dips below 35 for the winter and use the solely during the winter months. There is a huge difference between my "all-season" tires and the Blizzaks, but where I live we get 22" in one night (that's what she said), so it's a necessity so i can still make it in to work and sell parts to you all
  14. Fall is now in full swing, which means that those of us in cooler climates are doing what we can to extend our riding season. One way of doing this while keeping warm is by using heated gear, and Alpinestars Tech Heated apparel is a great option. Layering the vest under your jacket keeps your core warm, while the gloves provide waterproofing, warmth and top-notch protection.
  15. Need a pile of Brembo 19 RCS master cylinders? Maybe just one? We just got a fresh shipment of them in and can get an order out to you quick either way!
  16. Here’s a look at another of the available graphics - the Shark Race-R Pro Redding Replica. This matte black design is a replica of the one currently worn by Moto2 standout, Scott Redding.
  17. This matte black beauty of a helmet definitely caught the attention of a lot of people when it was first released earlier this year, and it spent a while on backorder as a result. The good news is that it is back in stock!
