  1. As is standard for every Italian MotoGP round, Valentino Rossi had Aldo Drudi and his design shop come up with yet another clever helmet scheme for the 2010 Misano GP. That design, which was released as a limited edition of the GP-Tech helmet, is now available on the K3. The Rossi “Wake Up” helmet features a large clock face right at the very top with the hands pointing to 2:00. The scheme represented a challenging point in Rossi’s career, when he was just coming off a leg injury and had missed four rounds. It also pokes fun at is his famously poor timekeeping prior to his premier class days, when he was known for sleeping in and occasionally missing part of practice was the norm. 2. The first five-minute call comes over the PA system, and you go to start your bike - only to have the low fuel light come on. You grab the fuel can when you realize you don’t know where you put the key for your OEM gas cap. You’ve got a sweet keyless ignition but you never got around to buying a keyless gas cap from Riders Discount - and now you regret it. That may be a familiar scenario for some of you, so you know it’s not a fun situation to be in. With Vortex’s recently released V3 gas cap you won’t to worry about that happening again. The Vortex V3 is designed to be easy to use, safe and lightweight. Its coarse threads let you quickly secure the cap without cross threading and the large contoured finger tabs make it easier to open than the last model – even with gloved hands. The V3 also received a new safety lock switch to prevent it from opening unintentionally due to contact or vibrations. Installation is pretty painless since it is vented with integrated dual check valves, so all you need to do is remove the OEM gas cap. Doing so will not only get you an easier to use cap, but it will allow you to cut some weight since the whole package weighs only .4 lbs (up to 55% lighter than your stock setup). These aren't listed on our website yet, so call Nathan at 866.931.6644 ext 809 for your forum pricing! You can also send any questions by private message through the forum, or email FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The cap features large contoured tabs to allow easy use - even with large fingered race gloves. The addition of the safety lock prevents the cap from coming loose due to contact or vibration. This safety lock comes in silver by default, but you can also order optional replacement tabs in black, red, blue or gold. The coarse threads of the V3 mean that you won’t have to worry about cross threading when closing it in a hurry.
  3. This does not have a chin curtain. PM on the way.
  4. Aggressively styled and full of features, the Shark Speed-R is designed to suit the needs of anyone riding on the street. The overall shape of the helmet was developed using extensive wind-tunnel testing in order to provide the aerodynamics and airflow necessary for all bikes, whether they have a windshield or not. The front of the Speed-R features two vents - one above the chin and one above the forehead. This is pretty standard stuff so far, but things are a bit different at the back. There you will find a unique, double-bladed spoiler at the top and a second spoiler at the base. The double-bladed spoiler creates a dual venturi effect that draws hot air out of the rear exhaust vents very effectively. The spoiler at the base helps keep things stable at speed and prevents turbulent air from running inside base of the helmet. Shifting the focus back to the front of the helmet brings us to another of the Speed-R’s best features - the shields. When looking at the eyeport of the Shark Speed-R, the most obvious feature is the integrated, retractable sun-visor. This tinted visor retracts and deploys by sliding a tab found near the top of head on the left hand side. Smooth and easy to operate with a gloved hand, the slider and visor are a nice touch. One of the best features of the Speed-R is found in front of the sunvisor and is generally an afterthought on many helmets - the faceshield. Shark’s high-quality, anti-fog/anti-scratch shields provide a very wide and optically correct field of vision. They do so with a thickness that varies from 4.25mm in the center to 3mm at the sides. The Shark Speed-R is available in a variety of graphics (including the Scott Redding replica shown below), as well as gloss black, matte black, and gloss white. If you are interested in the Speed-R, or any other Shark helmet model, just get in touch with Nathan through the forum or by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The Shark Speed-R is shown here in the Scott Redding replica graphic. A double-bladed spoiler aids in drawing hot air out through the two exhaust vents, while a single spoiler at the base stabilizes and reduces turbulence. The sun-visor is operated by a smooth slider that is easy to use with a gloved hand.
  5. I showed up Sunday at lunch time. We had an issue with a new motor unfortunately.
  6. Looking for a pair of Held Phantom II gloves, but don't want them in either of the grayscale options? Here's the Red/White/Black. Remember, these gloves are not yet listed on our website. You can order a pair by calling Nathan at 866.931.6644 ext. 809, or by sending an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM.
  7. No :-/ But I will be there to watch the shenanigans. Jake Zemke will be there and out riding, feel free to stop over and say hi.
  8. I'll talk to the boss, shouldn't be a problem. The Ruckus scooter might be available too. It's got a pipe on it though, might be a bit fast.
  9. Oh I'll be there to watch this weekend but I'm riding on Monday.
  10. We have a really good set of matched tires on it. If you go to the outside, you CAN hold it.
  11. Pretty intense storm system came through the area last night, hopefully that does the trick. It'll still be a green track so take it easy the first session, especially the intermediate guys that roll out first.
  12. Don’t bother fumbling with keys, the garage door opener that’s in your pocket (which might not work if it’s been raining) or otherwise have to jump off your bike just to operate the garage door with the Flash2Pass Remote Garage Door Opening System. This two piece kit comes with everything you need to install a convenient garage door remote system on your bike that operates with two flashes of the high beam. You’ll never have to worry about batteries again either because it draws energy from the power supply that’s on your motorcycle, scooter or ATV. You can even use it on your car, snowmobile – really anything that runs on 12V. Up to six remotes can be programmed to work with one receiver. The receiver can be used to replace the button in your garage or piggyback on the one you already have installed so, you don’t need to replace the remotes for all of your vehicles unless you want to. The lightweight transmitter itself taps into the high beam circuit of your ride with the included Posi-Tap connectors making two flashes of the brights all it takes to open or close your garage. You can get yours by giving Nathan a call at 866.931.6644 ext 809, or by contacting him through this forum. Is email more convenient? Feel free to send those to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The complete system as it comes out of the box. Compatible with just about any garage door opener system built after 1982. The weather-proof transmitter taps into the high-beam circuit of your ride using the included Posi-Tap connectors. Two flashes of your brights are all it takes to open or close your garage door. Extra transmitters are available for your other vehicles. This receiver/garage door button wouldn’t look out of place in the garage.
  13. He's on the triumph675r.net forum under the Riders Discount screen name. We'll take care of you, just talk to us before buying anything else at retail.
  14. Hope you talked to TJ before buying an exhaust at retail!! Talk to me or TJ before committing to purchase anything next to make sure you are getting the absolute best price on these products
  15. What exhaust did you purchase? If you're getting an exhaust you'll need a fuel management system on top of that as well. That bike is very good off the floor, really doesn't need much at all.
  16. Some management might not be too keen on their personnel looking at hot chicks. So better to be safe with a heads up that this thread has content that might not be ok at work than have someone click on the thread as the boss walks by.
