  1. Anyone who's ridden in less than favorable conditions knows how much of a damper cold, wet hands can put on a ride. Alpinestars has the answer to both of these problems with the introduction of their new Tech Heated gloves. These gloves feature a high quality construction, waterproof/breathable Drystar membrane, and a quick, easy connection to any bike that make them a great addition to anyones touring set-up. The Alpinestars Tech Heated gloves use a leather construction with textile, suede and polyurethane inserts for a high level of protection. In addition to the durable main leather construction, the gloves feature PU inserts in the sides, along the wrist, and PU armor molded across the knuckles. There is also extra padding along the top of all fingers. Rounding out the list of safety features is the Alpinestars patented finger-bridge connecting the 3rd and 4th fingers. These safety standards are similar to those you would expect to find on a top of the line pair of racing gloves. For weatherproofing, Alpinestars makes use of its Drystar membrane, which is both waterproof and breathable. This allows it to maintain heat while wicking away any sweat that would normally build up, leaving you with dry, comfortable hands. Heating is accomplished with a new active heating technology that heats up the gloves quickly and provides consistent heat over the entire hand. We tested the heating capabilities of these gloves in the shop by hooking the wiring loom up to one of our Ballistic Lithium Ion batteries. The gloves were up to temp in only 3 - 4 minutes and we measured a maximum internal temperature of 107° F with our infrared thermometer. The gloves come with a long, split-y cable, but in order for these to work with your bike you’ll need to order the controller kit as well. This controller kit comes with the battery wiring loom, on/off switch, short splitter and extension cable, meaning that these are very versatile and will work for just about any application. These gloves are exactly what you need if you plan on doing any riding in colder climates and will work independently, or in conjunction with the Alpinestars Tech Heated vest. We found sizing to run small, similar to GP-Pro or GP-Tech gloves, so we recommend you order the next size up from your standard glove size. Be prepared for fall riding by picking up a set of Alpinestars Tech Heated gloves from Riders Discount. If you’re interested, you can give Nathan a call at 866.931.6644 ext 809 or shoot him a PM through this forum. 8. Riders Discount has been synonymous with offering the best sport bike apparel or parts in the industry, but we would like to stress that we also offer a wide range of cruiser parts, accessories and gear - such as the River Road Vise jacket and Cinder chaps. These River Road products offer protection while maintaining good looks when you head out for a long Sunday cruise or your cross-country journey. The Vise jacket not only looks great with its matte black leather, it also offers excellent protection and ventilation. Protection comes from protectors in the elbows, shoulders and back. If you don’t like having armor in your jacket, or aren’t satisfied with what’s included, don’t worry as it’s easily removable or upgradeable. Ventilation is excellent in this jacket as it offers two front intake vents located at the upper inner arm and a large exhaust vent in the upper back. The Vise jacket also provides a comfortable fit for a wide range of sizes due to the stretch panels at the underarm, back and waist. The jacket comes with a built-in insulated liner that can be zipped out in seconds. This liner features two internal pockets that are large enough to hold nearly all major cellphones/smartphones on the market, a large wallet or whatever else you need to carry. In addition to the two internal liner pockets, the Vise jacket itself features three exterior and one internal pocket. River Road's Cinder chaps are a perfect match for the Vise jacket and they use the same premium matte leather. The leg openings in these chaps open all the way up the sides with a zipper from the top down to the mid shin, and snap buttons from the mid shin down to the hem. Along the inner thigh is a stretch panel to accommodate a wide range of sizes. Inside the chaps you’ll notice a nylon mesh to provide an additional layer as well as prevent any clinging to your jeans. Nylon stitched threads complete the chaps for superior durability. In our opinion the chaps fit pretty true to size, however we have some suggestions for the jacket -- If you’re normally in a northern or cooler climate we’d suggest going up one size in the jacket. For instance, our “model” typically wears a 44 jacket, however the jacket pictured is a 46 and fits him nicely when wearing thicker clothing underneath. If you’re a southern or summertime only rider, definitely stick with your normal sizing. These aren't listed on our website yet but call XXXX at 866.931.6644 ext XXX to get these at a steep forum discount! If you have any questions, please feel free to send a note to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM with RIVER ROAD CHAPS AND JACKET in the subject line and we’ll get back to you right away. Two-year manufacturer’s warranty included with both the Vise jacket and Cinder chaps The Cinder chaps and Vise jacket are made with premium leather with a matte finish for an excellent look and feel. They also feature heavy duty zippers on the main zip, vents and pockets. The Vice jacket has plenty of vents in allow air-flow on hot days. The interior of the Vice jacket is comfortable whether you have the quilted liner in or zipped out.
  9. Rearsets: Vortex, Sato, Woodcraft and Attack. Case Covers: Woodcraft, Vortex. I really like the Woodcraft case covers purely for the replaceable slider. It is more expensive initial cost, however in the long run the price advantage is substantial. I personally use Vortex rearsets on my R6 and Vortex would have the most discount to apply to you guys.
  10. lap record for a 600 at grattan is 1:18 or 1:19 nelson winners typically run 1:08-1:10, novice mid pack runners are running 1:16-1:22 mid oh - AMA SS winning lap time this past year was 1:29-1:30, 110% would be 1:42 max to qualify for an AMA event...
