  3. Arai has long been known for their superior quality motorcycle helmets, and the Corsair-V has been a racing staple for many riders since its release. Arai has redesigned the popular Corsair-V, and announced its upgraded version as the Arai Corsair-X. Now it's available in the 'Curve Red' graphic. The Curve graphic features bold stripes and lines that wrap around the entire helmet. It has both metallic details and a glossy finish to create one eye-catching helmet. The Curve Red has a red, white, and blue color scheme. The new PB SNC2 Shell of the Corsair-X is much lighter. In fact, it is 30% lighter than the Corsair-V. This is greatly attributed to the synthetic fibers and special resin formula that Arai has developed. Arai has not abandoned their special R75 shell shape, however. A lightweight, aerodynamic, and protective helmet is very sought after by racers, and Arai certainly has delivered. One of the biggest changes with this helmet is the upgraded ventilation system. The top/center vent allows around 11% more airflow than the Corsair-V did. All of the vents on the new Corsair-X are easier to adjust with gloves, as well as more durable and longer. Another significant change is the new "Variable Axis System" (VAS). The VAS has a variable axis (moving pivot point) allowing the shield to open and close, even with the 24mm lower shield mount position. The interior of the Corsair-X not only provides protection and comfort, but also does a great job keeping you cool. The plush lining in combination with the ventilation system wicks sweat away and helps keep you a comfortable temperature. The interior is made of Eco Pure material, which helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption. 5mm peel away ear pockets on the Corsair-X allow riders room for a communication system. Per customers’ requests, Arai lowered the chin bar by 3mm for extra comfort (great for riders that use a microphone) and upgraded the chin curtain and neck roll to help block out unwanted noise and help improve ventilation. The Corsair-X comes with a VAS V MV Shield, which is a clear anti-fog Pinlock shield. There are several tinted shield options available for purchase as well. The Arai Corsair-X is both 2015 Snell and DOT certified. 4. The AGV Corsa Guy Martin Helmet is a must have for any Guy Martin fan. This graphic has a yellow and black color scheme, featuring Guy's signature 'skull and spanners' logo on both sides. The front and sides of the helmet have sponsor logos. The AGV Corsa is very similar to the Pista GP, but is designed for road use. It's a tri-composite shell made up of carbon fiber, aramid, and glass fiber. The ventilation system built into the Corsa is a little bit different than that of the Pista GP. The special Integrated Ventilation System (IVS) consists of air ducts that are built into the helmet, directing cool air to the riders head. Unlike the Pista GP, the Corsa's forehead vents open and close, allowing you to change their position on the fly. The clear rear spoiler on the back helps make the helmet more aerodynamic, and reduces the drag effect by 44%. Exhaust vents on the back allow hot, moist air to leave the helmet. A special Visor Lock System (VLS) prevents the visor from accidentally opening in the case of a crash. To unlock the visor, you simply push a button. The visor aperture is 9% larger, increasing the field of vision by 15 degrees. The interior of this helmet is customizable. The cheek pads can by fine tuned with foam cut-outs, where the comfort liner has small disks of foam that can be taken out to eliminate hot spots. Unlike any other helmet on the market, the Corsa has tabs that can move to adjust the comfort liner size. All of the lining has AGV's CoolMax material, which is antimicrobial and wicks away moisture. The AGV Corsa Guy Martin Helmet is designed for intermediate and neutral oval head shapes. It is DOT and SHARP 5 Star certified. MSRP $849.95 Not yet listed on our website, you can order your AGV Corsa Guy Martin Helmet by calling MIKE at 866.931.6644 ext. 804 or by sending us a private message through this forum. 11. Believe it or not, spring is right around the corner. As the temperatures rise, the thought of wearing a jacket when it's warm isn't always the most appealing. Speed and Strength created a solution to this dilemma when they designed the 'Power And The Glory' mesh jacket. This jacket provides protection while still allowing lots of airflow during warm rides. This jacket is made out of flexible AR500 material and Speed and Strength's 'Fierce' mesh frame, making it perfect for spring and summer riding. The collar is low cut to allow airflow to the neck, and has a snap closure. Velcro waist adjusters and snap forearm adjusters allow you to customize the fit. The 'Power and the Glory' jacket comes equipped with CE rated 'Vault' armor in the shoulders and elbows. It also includes a CE rated Vault back protector. This jacket has two zippered hand-warmer pockets and a Napoleon pocket. Reflective details on the jacket help you to be seen by other drivers at night. Belt loops allow you to attach a pair of riding pants to this jacket. 12. Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words. I work hard to make sure you are taken care of!
  13. The Ohlins TTX GP shock is straight off of WSBK machines. Ok not really, but it's about as close as you can get to WSBK technology for your bike. Using all new valve stacks, the compression and rebound adjustments have improved even more over the MkII. With the TTX GP, you'll get a wider range of adjustment with more consistent feedback on a lighter shock body. We have a handful of these available for the 09-11 S1000RR. $799 shipped in the lower 48 The shock will be sprung for your weight before leaving our facility. This is not listed on our website, but if you have any questions or would like to place an order just give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient? Send us a message through this forum or write to us at FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we'll get back to you right away! The main difference between the MkII and the TTX GP are the rebound and compression valves which are straight out of the WSBK machines. Initially what you'll notice when you receive your Ohlins TTX GP shock is that you can adjust the TTX GP rebound and compression with your fingers by turning the knobs. The MkII required an allen key to make any adjustment. Diving deeper into the valving, the TTX MkII valving was quite a bit thinner and had no support at the end of the needle resulting in a needle that flexed due to internal pressure giving you non-linear changes in adjustment. The TTX GP valving is much beefier with a fully supported needle giving you more consistent changes in the adjustments. This is the same shock the Riders Discount Triumph team used to finish off their season resulting in placing as the top Triumph team. Riders Discount Triumph crew chief and MotoGP engineer, Richard Stanboli, noted that this Ohlins TTX GP shock is much improved over the MkII with an adjustment range that is more linear than previous versions. Pictured here is the Ohlins TTX GP shock off the Riders Discount Triumph 675R being serviced before the Mid-Ohio race. What this means is that each click on the TTX GP is going to have the the same change in feedback throughout the adjustment range whereas before, one click may have a smaller or greater change than the next. TTX GP is be available for most major bikes used in national racing as well as the new street bike models.
  14. Just when we thought nothing could surpass the X-Twelve, Shoei brings out a brand new racing helmet that is better in virtually every way: the new Shoei X-Fourteen. Designed for high speeds of 186 mph or more, they’re calling it the “pure racing helmet.” Shoei believes that the X-Fourteen shaves lap times, so much that the helmet’s slogan is “The X-Fourteen—When milliseconds count.” Now it's available in the Assail TC-2 graphic. The X-Fourteen Assail graphic features multiple sizes of stripes that wrap around the helmet to create an aggressive race look that looks great both on and off the track. It has a glossy finish with metallic details throughout the design. The TC-2 has a red/white/blue color scheme. The X-Fourteen has several brand new features that make it even better than the X-Twelve. The shell shape has been redesigned to improve the aerodynamics of the helmet, including a brand new, patent-pending Rear Stabilizer. The Rear Stabilizer works to “maximize high-speed stability while reducing negative forces on the rider.” You will experience 50% less buffeting, 10% less drag, and a 3% lift reduction with the new X-Fourteen. You can customize the aerodynamics by switching out the standard rear flaps with narrower ones. Shoei takes the customization a step further by incorporating an innovative five-stage rotating dial that allows you to fine-tune the shield and base plate. The X-Fourteen’s ventilation system has received several upgrades. Now the cheek pads have a cooling “tube” that allows fresh air to enter the helmet, cooling the rider’s cheek area. Allowing cool air to enter the helmet isn’t enough, though. The side air outlets of the helmet have been re-positioned to better allow hot, moist air to leave the helmet. Overall, the X-Fourteen has six air intakes and six exhaust outlets. A few changes have been made to the face shield and shield locking mechanism. First, the CWR-F Race Shield (equipped with Pinlock EVO fog-resistant system) has innovative new ribs on the edges to help eliminate bending. The X-Fourteen now has a double shield locking mechanism, designed to prevent unwanted shield openings while riding. The QR-E Base Plate System on this helmet not only makes changing shields easy, but also blocks out unwanted water and wind when closed. The X-Fourteen's 6-layer AIM+ shell construction and multi-layer EPS work together to redirect impact energy in the case of a crash. An Emergency Quick Release System (E.Q.R.S.) is built into the helmet to allow medical personnel to safely remove the cheek pads and helmet from an injured rider’s head. The 3D Max-Dry Interior is customizable with optional sizes for each section of the center pad. Made of Max-Dry material, the inside “absorbs and dissipates sweat twice as fast as tradition nylon.” The interior is completely removable, washable, replaceable and adjustable. MSRP $859.99 If you have any questions about the product or would like to place an order, feel free to give MIKE a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 804. Is email more convenient?
