First time i've ever put drag radials on a manual car, and with much help from Anthony and Scott (Thanks again!) on how to launch the car and how to do a proper burn out, I managed to pull a 12.76 out of my car. (Scott managed a 12.70) The car can do better but i'm not trying to break it yet. Without the drag radials it was running many 13.1x runs. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/C360_2011-10-0809-39-52.jpg

noooooo! not the 928! Our boys love to pull the wheels off of cars. Doesn't matter if they are the small ones or big R/C cars, they all end up in a million pieces.

I will try to talk Anthony into going. I wanna go. I think last time we went down that road, I scared Anthony with my driving. :lolguy:

I don't know anything about BigTen roofing but, We had a roof put on our house for free through our home owners insurance when we found out a couple shingles where missing. Roofing one came out, got up on the roof and found out entire sections could be lifted up. If your interested in having someone come out to inspect it and not sure about the company that came out, Call Todd at Roofing One 614-323-4990. He was recommended by another member on here when we where looking for someone. They took care of most of the insurance hassle, and once the paperwork was done, they had our roof done in a day.

Lets just say he has kinda been made miserable and leave it at that.

Whatever it runs, my little 4-door family car can kick its ass. :gabe:

13.99 or faster.

Right there with you. I am putting a turbo kit on my car, but running low boost for a while until the rest of the car can support the mods.

:fuuuu: You where suppose to say you would put the big jets in and he could enjoy the view of your tail lights as many times as he would like. In case you haven't noticed he needs competition in order to have a desire to come out to the track. Lol shit talking and me helping him fix up the car and pushing to further modify it has gone a long way in sparking the flame for racing again.

What? Neon doesn't want a piece?

I don't have to wait a couple years on hopes and dreams. There is a green car sitting in the garage that can take care of you. One that I put almost 60 miles on today. But it will be so much sweeter to beat you with the other Firebird.

lol not trying to blow up my car yet. Gonna take a yr or two to fully build everything up around the go fast parts so it doesn't break halfway down the track.

Not racing you this track day. Unless you bring the Miata. However, if everything works out well and certain things get installed by the Nov track day. I will take you up on that. Your car on motor vs. mine the way it will sit late this year with a couple car go. :gabe:

Glad you are coming out Jones, my car needs someone new to pick on. Should be a good race until my car gets warmed up and the drag radials go on it. :gabe:

Parents with driving age kids, insurance recommendations

Try GMAC. When I was 16 and got my license in NY they where by far the cheapest. Then when I became and adult and had so many tickets on my record Anthony and I couldn't get car insurance together without it being crazy expensive, they once again came through with a really good rate and we got full coverage on all of the cars for less than Allstate/Progressive would do with just Liability on a couple of them. -
Miata wouldn't stand a chance against any of my cars.

Today it was not garage queen, it was grocery getter. :gabe: I filled it up and had to laugh, it got 10.41mpg, almost the same as what it traps in the 1/4. :lolguy:

"Why does your car have smoke coming out of the hood scoop?" http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/bczrccr.jpg

LOL, my track times are only where they are because up until this point it has been my daily driver, and I never wanted to break it. Which is why I never put drag radials on it... but thats about to change. I understand the differences. I just want the Firebird clutch to not be as huge of a difference. My car gets whored out on track days and the clutch has been in there since before we bought the car. Its probably got quite a bit of wear by now. I want something in between what it has now and an on/off clutch. And yes, I am sure I can handle it just fine. :masturboy: Thanks for the suggestions so far guys!

Oh I know the 10 bolt will shatter first.... The LS7 clutch may work well for you old men, but I need something a little more firm. I like them stiff. :gabe:

Ok, so my car is getting a bunch of new parts and a bunch of go fast parts tossed at it in the very near future. I am putting a turbo setup on the car. Going to run low boost for a year or two until the transmission and rear end get upgraded as well. It currently has an LS7 clutch in it, which is incredibly soft compaired to the Stage 2 clutch in the Subaru. I have a hard time switching back and forth between cars. After driving the Subaru for a week I actually thought the clutch went out on the Firebird when I tried to push it down, it felt like it wasn't there. :lolguy: So I am looking for something that is going to be more firm, but not something that will be on/off. This car will eventually be setup as primarily a track car, but I still want to be able to drive it on on the street too. Suggestions?

Yep. It's normally here during the day and has a bed liner. Just let me know a day/time you want it and you can come get it.

I don't know if I would call our truck a beater, but you could borrow it if you want to. We haul a lot of stuff with it.

I'll add that as Chris stated above, there are only a small number of people from CR at Sawmill. Most of those people that hang out up there have gotten CR members kicked out of past spots by randomly showing up doing burn outs or ricer BS or whatever. And I have seen a lot of stupid shit being done up there as well, and its only a matter of time before it happens again. CR does not condone street racing, it is not allowed to be set up here. But again, we cannot be held liable for what our members do in their free time. We are not their parents and cannot tell them they can't be here because they broke a law or two somewhere. I guantee you anything, there are just as many people on this board guilty of any number of other crimes out there that have nothing to do with street racing, or cars or anything of that nature. Some I guantee are 5 million times worse. Should we ban them too because we don't agree with whatever happens in their personal lives? No. We can't control anyone. Its a free country. And for the most part, a forum for anyone, anywhere can join and enjoy making new friends that enjoy similar hobbies, and enjoy ending the week spending time with like minded people. It sounds like this is not the forum for you to be on. I can assist in removing your account. PM me.
