I didn't mess with the car very much, I was pretty busy yesterday and only thought of getting the car back home and in the driveway. I stopped and restarted the car a couple times, didn't really pay attention if it was a certain gear that was doing it. I will go mess with it and check the fluid shortly and try to answer your questions better. Back story on the fluid - It was pitch black when we bought the car. Personal experiance with automatics is not to fuck with the fluid when it looks like that as the trans is a ticking time bomb, but Anthony somehow convinced me to take it somewhere and have new fluid/filter installed. Logic being it would probably end up failing one way or the other. They did the drop the pan method which only replaces SOME of the fluid. The transmission has never shifted hard, had problems with going into any gear or given me any indication it was about to fail. And I definately know ALL the indicators of a transmission thats about to go bad. I used to own a ton of Subaru SVX's. :lolguy: The only thing the car has ever done is during the test drive Anthony tried to do a burn out in the car and the traction control thing kicked on and the car went insane and basically said "I am not that kind of girl" and kicked into limp home mode. Shut down & restarted the car and all has been fine. The traction control has since kicked on a lot of times while driving in the rain or whatever. No issues.

Was hoping that "clunk" was just the transmission downshifting into whatever gear "limp home" is. I did find a transmission for worse case senario. But it has never had any problems changing gears or anything. No indication it was about to go out. I really bet its a wiring/computer/sensor issue. Because the car itself was running rough/sluggish. It didn't feel like a transmission problem per say. I knew having the transmission fluid changed was going to be a bad idea. :fuuuu:

Not so much. I found a transmission for $800 with a 90 day warranty as a worse case senario.

Today I took my 850ci out for a short drive, it hasn't moved since the BMW car show. It felt like it was running a bit rough but I thought maybe it was just from it sitting for a while. Well I get a couple blocks from my house and I am following this little old lady going about 15-20mph and all of a sudden I hear a thud/clunk and the little message center went *DING* - Transmission safety mode - See Owner's Manual. And the transmission went into LIMP HOME mode. I am going to assume the owners manual would say something along the lines of "Take vehicle to nearest BMW service center." if I had the owners manual.... So here's the thing, If you turn the car off - it will come out of limp mode. You drive it for a little bit and right back into limp mode it goes. :fuuuu: Anyone have any equiptment to find out what its issue is? Hoping its a simple sensor or something...

I am sorry Hal that you liked my post so much that you didn't know what to do with yourself except to switch sides in a wild panic of insecurity since I don't have any nuts for you to swing off of. Its ok. We still love you. :gabe:

First off, if you want to be a part of this community, you won't tell the Admin how it is. This is our forum to run the way we choose. If you don't like it GET THE FUCK OUT. Second, You started all of this. Now you want to cry because you obviously can't stand the heat and are getting butt hurt because an Admin won't close a fucking worthless thread? On CR, threads stay open unless they go out of control..... This hasn't gone anywhere near that point. Grow the fuck up. My 11 year old step-daughter has more back bone than you. She got called a bitch on the playground and continued to play, and IGNORED them. Stay out of the damn thread, lurk on the board for a while, don't come to meets for a while.... And when you do, don't act like a fucking douche and all will be fine.

Thanks! I might take you up on that. I only have about 6 photo's of my dad, and 2 of them are really old and starting to fall apart. Yes it is! I plan on fully restoring it. I wanted to the first time around but ex-husband blah blah blah... I am just really happy I am able to get it back. Its a good look for you! lol I have put the bike in the back of a truck before, it was not easy and not very fun. We will probably end up renting a U-Haul trailer if we can't find one by the 16th as we are planning on picking it up on the 17th.

Someone buy this thing and I will toss in the $70 DX5E remote for free. It will work on any BNF plane with DSC2 technology.

I am soooo excited. This bike has been in my family since it was brand new. It was my Dad and Uncle's Bike. I got it after both had passed away, and due to personal issues I was unable to keep it and had to sell it. I recently contacted the guy who bought it and he bought a bunch of parts for it but never got around to fixing it up and told me to come get it! Soooo excited to have it back! My dad and I on the bike when I was really young. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x123/wannarace928/tinaanddad.jpg

The difference being you came to a car forum WITHOUT having a car. And your very first post states you just got out of prison, almost like you are proud of it. Plus you won't name your "friends" on this site even though asked by several people.... And none of these friends have stopped by to say "hey good to see you signed up." Obviously you know someone on here though because you know there is a TBSS for sale........ Even though this is a large car forum, its still a pretty close knit community. My suggestion to you, once you get settled into your life and have a car and are seriously interested in being part of the community here, create a new intro thread - Post pics. I only see this going down hill until then.

At this point I just want some advice from the trainer on how to keep him awake during training. He is the only dog I have ever tried training that wants to fall asleep during lessons. :fuuuu: Its only been a few days and he already knows his name. He will walk on a leash and doesn't pull very much at all, whenever he feels any tugging on the leash he stops and looks at me and starts walking along with me again. He is learning sit, he knows the word and has done it several times on his own but he is stubborn/lazy and wants to know why I want him to do it repeatedly and looks at me with the question in his eyes "wouldn't it be better if I just stayed sitting instead of doing it over and over?" Thanks for the recommendations guys. We will probably use Farrah's services as she comes to us for training. Elissa wanted us to go to a class in Dublin every monday for the next 7 weeks, and that just isn't going to work for us right now. If it was closer to Reynoldsburg it might have worked.

We bought a puppy that is probably going to end up out weighing me by quite a bit (Great Dane mix). I can train the dog the basic's to walk on a leash without pulling (which he is already doing very well with), sit, stay, etc... But I want this dog trained 100% NOT to pull me onto my face if we are out walking and he would "happen to see something" when he is full grown. I want to know for sure he will listen to my every command, not 99% of the time, but 100% of the time. With that said, anyone have any recommendations for a dog trainer?
