  1. Hope to see you, it's been a few years. I'm gonna have to procure a waste oil container if there are a lot of people wanting oil changes. I have a catch pan that's good for a few gallons that I take to work to dump in a waste oil drum. I'll figure something out...
  2. I used to have an 1100 shadow... I miss that bike. Welcome to the side show.
  3. Never tried the rs-1 but my star carbon is a huge step up from the vortex which is very similar to both the star and rs-1. I noticed that the padding was completely different between the two tho, and the quality of the star is noticeably higher. My only bitch with the bell lids is the magnet in the strap end. It works great but it's held in by glue and eventually fails. The could have spent a few more cents and sewn it in.
  4. Oh... guess I should post the location. 1054 8th St northeast massillon 44646. Title updated to reflect date time and location. Edit: can only edit the most recent post...so nope
  5. Nothing to do with the directors or editors. All the sound is added in post-production by sound engineers.
  6. You guys are welcome to bring it But doesn't it need to be bolted to the floor?
  7. Phreon, that does resemble the nighthawk motor but they were never kick start and the clutch cover is different. ALL cb bikes were kick start prior to 1979 except the hondamatic iirc. The motor could be a yamaha xj top end married to a kick start xs bottom end... it's definitely not a gs. Idk enough about old kawasaki bikes to say if it is or isn't one. It's still a cool chop, I'd ride it.
  8. What you're hearing is probably the driven plates being pushed by the hadraulic forces produced by the driving plates as they spin through the oil in the case, unless you've been really beating on it, in which case the basket and hub might be worn where the plates engage them and you're hearing the plates rattle in the basket. Like pauly said, if it's not slipping just ride it. When it does start slipping or if you find that it's hard to get into gear or hard to find neutral, you probably need service.
  9. Just bring em, should be fine. Whatever beer you're drinking...anything but black and tans, that did not work out in your favor last time.
  10. Ok tentative time frame is from noon onward. Would like to get things wrapped up by 6 or so. Maybe later if there's some late arrivals and I get drunk. I can't promise to provide food and drinks for all but I will provide some. Donations to the collective would be appreciated. I don't have a huge garage/yard but I do have seating for around 15 I think... there are 2 fun roads close by if we decide we wanna go on a 15 minute ride around the quarry.
  11. I love my bell star carbon. It's very comfy, incredibly light and reasonably quiet. The nice thing about bell helmets is they make a transitions visor for them that darkens automatically in the sun. I also have a bell vortex which is 1 step below the star and is also a great helmet, especially for around $200 depending on paint. I'd suggest you go to a shop and try on a bunch to get an idea of what you want.
  12. Or when the interior shot shows an automatic but as the guy drives off the sound is a stick shifting.
  13. Yeah a lot of people don give the bandit the credit it deserves and think they need a race replica. Bandit is honestly one of the best all a rounders there is. Hope yours sells soon so someone else can appreciate the awesomeness.
  14. Got mine out yesterday and rode it home from my dad's barn. Did the ton a few times and pulled a baby whoolie.
  15. Well his job isn't to go on runs, it's to recruit new people so....
  16. I watched the whole episode and didn't see the bike.
  17. The 18th is a dyno day down in cbus so the official date is the 11th. Hoping for a decent turnout.
  18. I'm more looking for a quote for shits and giggles. Thinking of selling the bandit and putting cash towards another bike, maybe vfr or something.
  19. Yeah. If I had the cash free I'd snap it up
  20. Welcome! Fz09 is a great machine. Planning a meet and greet at my place next month if you feel like riding an hour south. Thread is NEO spring meet and greet.
