The class is 3 parts: green belt, lean sigma and blackbelt. the blackbelt course is twice as long as the others because you get assigned a 4 week virtual project you have to complete and save a certain amount of time and man hours. Once all 3 courses are complete I can take a certification test for my blackbelt.

Was hoping to find one at a 2nd hand store for $20 or find someone who got one for a wedding present or something and doesn't use it.

Enrolling in a six sigma black belt certification program next month. Haven't seen the inside of a classroom since I was an apprentice machinist at 22 yrs old...not that I'll be seeing a classroom as this course is completely online. Seems like a good move, I doubt I'll have my current job more than 2 more years due to the current trend of moving all the jobs out of akron to break the union. I figure it will look good on a resume for my next manufacturing job or maybe even allow me to get up off the floor and into a project manager or process engineer type situation. Anyone here familiar with six sigma? I've been Wikipedia-ing and learning some but it's better to heat from someone who's been elbow deep in it.

Sounds like the fuel pump either isn't priming or you don't have fuel in the lines yet. Key off, wait 10 seconds, key on and listen for a whistle or hum that lasts maybe a second or two. That's your fuel pump priming. If you don't hear it, fuel pump is either bad or unplugged. If you do hear it, cycle the ignition key several times to force-prime the fuel rail.

Sliders have pockets for knee armor. The only places lacking kevlar are the front down to mud thigh and the backs of the lower legs. I've crashed mine 3 times and they've saved my skin and knees. For the $90 they're a very good option.

Having been in many motorcycle accidents I am a proponent of armor. Leather will keep your skin intact. Armor will help protect from deep bruising and broken bones. I'd much rather have a quarter inch of foam between my elbow and the concrete than just a few mm of leather.

Kow, yeah the kat air boxed are ugly as hell. You could try one off a bandit 600, I think gsxr 600 had bigger carbs. You can make your own, the key is volume. The more volume you have the more easily it will flow it's maximum which is set by the size of the intake hole. There is a tipping point where the intake hole gets do big the volume no longer matters but you won't get there. what materials were you planning on using? I just got some polymorph this weekend; it's a plastic that melts at around 200°f so you can mold it by hand, then it sets very hard once cooled. You can do this over and over again. I'd use something like that and the stock stacks and make something better than the original

It'd very possible to get cv carbs to run good without an airbox, you'll have to take my bandit for a spin sometime to see. Just a matter of jetting and tuning the carb to match all that air.

It's actually looking like I may be wrong... I've never seen one like it before but the carbs appear to have a bellmouth there where the butterflies are....which would indicate the intake side...which would make those butterflies the choke...except I've never seen a mechanical choke on a cv carb before....could I be the internet dipshit?
