  1. Wife approved. Hows 4-27 look as far as availability? I'm sure @Bad324 and @TimTheAzn will be busy like they are every year
  2. Thinking of opening my driveway to you freaks again this spring so my neighbors think I actually have friends. Not 100% sure it will happen tho, we are trying to get the house ready to sell and I should probably be painting shit instead of getting drunk in the garage with a bunch of weirdos. If i can slip the idea past my wife this will likely happen. Aiming for warmer weather tho, last year kinda sucked and my poor stupid dog burnt her whiskers off on pauly's propane heater. So maybe last weekend of April? Idk, cant really go into may because we are throwing a big 40th bday party for me in may and that will require a lot of planning and effort etc. So post up, tell me why this is such a good idea. Update: it's a fucking stupid idea, but those are the only kind I have, so it's on like Donkey Kong. April 27 1054 8th St NE Massillon, 44646. Doors at noon, come early if you want to help set up. Should be plenty of food and drink, but bring stuff if you want, it will be appreciated. Garage and tools will be available to all for minor maintenance or suspension setup/adjustment. This will be the last event at this house, we are selling and moving on to lower property values in a nicer neighborhood so let's make it a good one.
  3. Tech has definitely gotten stiffer. They scrutinized the fuck out of my bike and wouldn't let me on without taping my wheel weights and zip typing the pigtail for my battery tender. That tire belongs in the trash, fuck whoever let that on the track.
  4. Maybe I owe it to myself to do a novice day at mid o. My first track experience was with n2 at pitt and I was not crazy about being passed, especially by people who weren't following the rules and passing me on the inside at the apex.
  5. I'm gonna try and hit mid o this year. Bitch of it is I dont have a dedicated track whore and insurance won't cover my gsxs on a track. So I can either drop a few grand on a bike I'll probably get 4 or 5 weekends out of per year or I can risk wadding up a year old $12k bike and eating the cost. Yeah yeah, I know, dont wreck and itll be fine. We must meet this spring for burritos and a beer. But not chipotle, fuck them and their anti-science woo-fuckery.
  6. Wow. Literally none of that happened at mine. Maybe they used to be shit, idk. At my track day a single rider went off track into the grass. No wrecks. But I can see how your experience has soured you on them, so good luck and have fun with your boy.
  7. Take him to an N2 track day at PIRC. Jester is a control rider for N2 and azn tim is always there. I haven't ran mid o, but everyone tells me Pitt is a better track and has better pavement. Excuse my unsolicited advice.
  8. Found a YouTube video of a short factory tour. They manufacture in-house and build in-house. Looks like a solid company. Think I might buy one.
  9. I emailed klaus yesterday for a quote and he got right back to me. Mentioned the free rebuild in his email, along with 5 yr warranty. Sounds like a great package for the price. I may drop some springs in my forks later once I get the rear sorted out. So you're pretty happy with the ride and build quality?
  10. Typical internet. Asks a very specific question. Gets nothing but unsolicited advice.
  11. Rear is under sprung and under damped, at least for a fat boy like me. Also only adjustable for rebound and preload. Feels like a pogo stick on undulating surfaces. With the preload cranked in enough to make the compression feel ok, it blows straight through the rebound damping on the return, at least that's what it feels like. And I'm not a machinist, at least not working as one anymore. I've been in QA for like 3.5 years. This shop does not allow employees to make their own shit on company equipemt anyway. $1100 is with remote preload adjuster. $810 without, plus shipping I imagine.
  12. By off the shelf I mean not a $2k custom build. The only other shocks anyone else stocks are designed for smaller bikes but will fit mine. Front is fine. Rear shock is garbage. Common complaint on these bikes. Gsxr shock swap requires machining links to retain ride height. You suck at directions.
  13. Upgrading the suspenders on the zook this winter. Hard to find a good off the shelf shock for this bike. Found this brit company with a distributor in Jersey. Quoted me around 1100 for fully adjustable shock with remote preload. Anyone rode one? I had never heard of hyper pro before.
  14. Busy as hell. Bought a new bike, Built a bike trailer, did a track day. Pulled my left hamstring pretty good in June and it's still not right. Mostly working tho. 50+ hrs.
  15. I'm all for that but the wife isnt as on-board. She likes the idea of a realtor doing the work.
  16. Ok. Hopefully it's the last meet at this location, hope to be in a different house this time next year.
  17. Admittedly I've only gone on Saturdays.
  18. Closer to liter in my case. Leader bike is a quasi-inside joke.
  19. I've gone to the ims twice, just wasnt much to be impressed about either time. Massive crowds of mostly leather daddies milling about, expensive food and beer, not a lot of gear vendors (which is why I would go, to try on a new jacket and some boots before I buy them) and it's an hour+ drive for me in good weather. If it's your thing, then go, have a nice time. I intensely dislike massive throngs of humanity stuffed into buildings, so to be part of that, I'm gonna need a better draw.
  20. I still remember what a waste of time and money it was last time I went...maybe next year.
  21. When are you gonna hit the streets with me and embarrass me on my leader bike?
