  1. Owie. 1200 you can probably find a good used motor. Crank might be fucked, that front skirt went somewhere after it ejected, and that somewhere is probably down into the crank case where it played with your crank and maybe primary drive.
  2. Hit Hoblick up, dude is legit and has an awesome shop.
  3. Suck a valve or did the wrist pin give up on you? I could hear it knocking right before it seized.
  4. I want your car but I don't have a 250 to trade you...
  5. Needs wide open beaver shot of the starter girl.
  6. Bring it to me. I have a quad I'm doing a rebuild on in the garage right now but I can make room for ya. I'll do it for $350 and I'm a hell of a lot closer than Coshocton.
  7. It's easy to default into freak out mode when your bike starts fucking up on you. Just remember that unless you put a rode through the cases or cook off the main bearings or strip transmission gears, it's able to be fixed and not horribly expensive. Also, I'm betting you can find a used motor online for around a grand and swap it in.
  8. Top end noise usually isn't that expensive to fix. It's normal to find some sediment in oil, cam chain tensioner and sliders are plastic and do wear. If it is the tensioner it's not that bad of a job, will need new tensioner guts, head gasket, and an afternoon or two. Noise could also be valve lash, tho I'm pretty sure that motor is shim under bucket, which don't usually go out of whack, at least not in 20k miles. Other possibilities are wrist pins or piston slap but I seriously doubt it, those motors are built pretty well. Main thing is to not panic, anything mechanical can be fixed and engines are surprisingly simple inside once you get past the initial anxiety of the unknown.
  9. Make sure you're in gear while staging, then make sure you don't loop your bike in the first 15 feet.
  10. 2nd year in a row, no response. Thanks for nothing, ORDN.
  11. I'll be nursing an epic hangover and surveying the damage to my yard after my annual birthday/memorial day bash. Have fun tho.
  12. Not sure if I should laugh or cry....or put 15 flags on my bandit and tow a trailer from massillon to wisconsin.
  13. Keep a bar of steel on a string with you. Idk how the plc decides to open the gate, if it's the size of the ping it gets from the sensor or if it's the proximity...If it's always looking for a ping the size of a buick then the kick stand won't help much. Getting someone associated with security or maintenance or a general ptmf to adjust the gain on that sucker.
  14. It's a metal detector under the pavement. Get a few large neodymium magnets and stick them to your exhaust, should produce a large enough magnetic field to trip the sensors.
  15. Sweet, the kat is a pretty solid all around bike. Glad you're happy with it.
  16. Again, shady as fuck and hand caught in cookie jar. Hope there are real consequences.
  17. Yeah. Let me know, if I have a weak turnout this year and lots of surplus food then a pack of 5 or 6 might be welcome. Hit me up.
  18. That's shady as fuck. I've dealt with geico and state farm and neither asked for my gear, just wanted to see damage and what I paid for it and cut me a check. I'd be contacting the agency on this dude.
  19. You show receipt and they write a check. I'm riding on some kevlar jeans and a pair of boots that have seen 2 insurance checks. They never asked for them.
  20. Dude, we get down till the last bottle. Usually winds down by 1 am when the hard core alkies pass out.
  21. Derek, bbq at my place if you wanna stop by on your way home for a burger and a beer.
  22. They do this every year and it's a nice event. 100's of American flags set up in the lawn of the Jackson twp safety administration building. You come and buy a flag to dedicate to a personal hero; could be a veteran or parent or whoever and write up that dedication. They attach it to your flag and it flies over the weekend, then when they're taken down after the holiday you can pick it up or have it shipped to you or whoever. This will be my second year volunteering there. The money raised goes to local charities. http://www.jacksontwp.com/Downloads/2963_SaveTheDate_HR.pdf I'll be working it Fri from noon til 2 pm but come any time if you want to participate.
  23. I have one and love it but the check valve in mine is failing. Sidewinder, please advise.
  24. The rebuild will be like any other honda sohc I've done, just curious if there's a way to pull it off in the bike.
