  1. Tried to revisit k&n design and manufacturing ' s page....won't load. My guess is they went under. How an ar15 vendor could go out of business with such high demand is beyond me unless they just couldn't get inventory.
  2. Or get a Troy bilt 10-24 snow thrower if you don't think you'll get much use out of the quad other than plowing. 10 hp, 24" wide 2 stage self propelled with 6 forward and two reverse speeds. Electric start, I've personally put mine through a foot of ice and snow with no problem and it takes up half the space of a quad for about $600. If you're not going to use the quad for anything but plowing, look at other options before dropping that kind of dough on it.
  3. I could build if I had to. I can get everything but the barrel I want from my guy in kent. I'm sure he has head spacing gauges I could use. 20" fluted stainless heavy barrel. I'll take a bull barrel if it's all I can find and cut some 1/2-28 threads on it in my dad's lathe.
  4. As other members have stated, a lot of sport riders on here typically either meet up for group rides in SEO on weekends or hit the track. Maybe you could come along on one of our jaunts toward the wva line some fine Saturday afternoon. It's a hell of a good time, especially if nobody wrecks. I've been on a few of these and learned things both times. Not sure how much there would be to write about other than the range of ages and personalities that share a passion for twisty roads and sticky tires. Also I don't know what you ride or what your skill level is so not sure if it would be in your wheelhouse or not but I'm sure you'd be a welcome addition. Only real photo ops would be at gas stops and they would be mostly of grinning, sweaty dudes.
  5. Or we could get back on the topic of finding a 20" varmint kit for me...I've exhausted every resource I could think to look at.
  6. Just go faster than anyone else, then you only have to worry about what's in front of you.
  7. 70-82?!?!?!? Damn, wish I sold you gas. Our thermostat stays at 65 in the Winter and 73 in the summer. Slippers and blankets are cheap, natural gas isnt.
  8. I always run it online as credit. I have fraud protection on it just like a credit card. They haven't charged my account yet (I think they're out of business) so I don't have their information to give to the bank as far as what entity the charge will come from. Ie: a diner in Akron called 'the lamp post' charges your account from 'Navarre two'. My only real recourse is to get a new card with a different number and then go through the hassle of updating paypal etc with the new info.
  9. I don't buy shit I can't afford. If I don't have the cash for it, I don't get it till I do.
  10. Yeah my dad had an rx7 back in the day b said it ran like hell but used just as much gas as a damn hemi v8.
  11. Problem is the fan keeps running. Because reading comprehension.
  12. Sounds like you could move it to a different pin granted you gave one open. Could also be a bad signal from the flame sensor or an error on the control board. Does the problem persist after cutting power to the furnace and turning back on?
  13. Eh, somehow I'm sure 3400 hp will find a use regardless of torque. I like the quote: 'we'll start with 2 turbos and if that doesn't work we'll put more on'
  14. Boner. http://www.enginelabs.com/news/video-exotic-12-rotor-rotary-engine-ready-for-dyno/
  15. Welcome. Nice bikes, hope to meet you and ride if this winter ever ends.
  16. A good friend of mine from back in the day has a son who recently had a huge tumor removed from his brain. I was in scouts with this guy. He's good people. The surgery was a success but his son has a long road ahead of him and the clinic is far from home. Dad needs to punch the clock at chrystler every day and mom needs to be with the kid. Buy a shirt, buy 5, make a donation. It's the equivalent of a dozen wings and a few beers in terms of dollars for you but the impact for them is huge. This is a worthy cause and I urge you to help give a kid a chance at life and give a family hope. https://www.booster.com/teamdexton?share=5561391747596052
  17. And as usual a thread about motorcycles turns into an Internet catfight. Please Winter end.
  18. Hell no. I commute 120 miles a week or more. My last truck cost me $75 a week to go to work and back.
  19. Well that's all well and good but I'm not a baller and don't generally keep over a grand in my checking account. So if I buy another rifle kit at $600 or so and then these assholes charge my account I'll go into overdraft.
  20. I'll have to look into my ebay history and see what brand ballasts I have on my bandit. I attached both to either side of the fairing stay which is a pretty vibe-heavy location and have had zero issues. The "moving" effect should only last a few minutes during the initial heat-in of the bulbs. Let me look back and find out who I dealt with. They originally sent me the wrong bulbs but customer service was super and they got me the right stuff in a few days....ok. eBay seller is ionicparts. Check em out.
