  1. I know it's not bbq but I'm roasting the bird this year. It's sitting in a garlic clove and 4 color peppercorn brine right now. First time I've ever brined a turkey. Gonna stuff and roast tomorrow and see how it comes out.
  2. Bandit 1200 uses cv carbs. It's all about massaging them. Takes time and work and knowing how to read a plug and listen to a motor and let it tell you how it's running. Gotta dial in the main jet first with some full throttle plug chops, then adjust needle for midrange, then pilot circuit for idle and off idle. It can be done, just takes time and ability.
  3. I'd rather take some pics with the blonde lol..
  4. I used a hole saw to put a 2-1/4" hole in the airbox of my bandit 1200. That along with bigger jets, 5° ignition advance and a yoshi pipe really opened the bike up.
  5. I'm sure there are thousands of amateurs out there who think they can tune a bike until they actually try to do it. doesn't make the job impossible. Probably plenty of people who gave up on a lot of things because they weren't willing to put in the time and effort to get them right.
  6. Yes I pulled those numbers out of my ass, but they are pretty standard for an air cooled 750 under 10:1 compression. I disagree with the statement that piping and jetting is the worst thing you can do to a cv carb bike, I've done it to plenty. It's all about doing your research online first and finding out what jet sizes work for people, then buy the jets instead of shelling out $100 for a kit full of shit you don't need.
  7. When walking dead is broadcast via the airwaves I'll ditch cable.
  8. Get it. Indestructible motor, comfy ergonomics, easy to work on...great all arounder. I think they make close to 75 hp and 50 ft of torque (don't quote me) that could easily be upped with pipes jets and filters. Might be able to find hot cams for it too if you want something you can really wring out. I'd buy it for sure.
  9. I understand this mag and I know that legalization probably won't result in more widespread use. The fact remains that hard drugs ruin the lives of innocent children. I'm all for a revamp of the laws, a switch from criminalization to getting addicts the help they need. It's a health issue, not a law enforcement issue.
  10. I'd be all for hard drug legalization if it didn't affect children. I could give a shit what dick and Jane junkie do with their bodies but their use affects their children and that's fucked up.
  11. This. It had a sophisticated electronic lock that operated by you manipulating factory dash controls in a certain order ie: radio preset 2, heat on, ac on etc in perfect order. While there is no evidence supporting it, it's pretty apparent that he was hiding drugs.
  12. But I don't constantly fiddle with it. That's what 'it works' means.
  13. Yeah I'm not that into it dude. Someone else may need or want that sophisticated of a setup but I'm good with what I have. It works.
  14. I have a 2nd router in my house through which I network my media drive, then stream it to any device in my home via xbmc. I suppose I could just torrent from my phone which will run openvpn connect and then upload to the networked media drive and stream to my tv stick... or just ignore my cable company and pirate whatever I want.
  15. Over $400 you're paying for a quieter unit. You can buy one of the cheaper ones and wrap it in an old blanket to quiet it down. They supply them with a piece of foam sheeting to muffle the noise. Putting them in is pretty easy as long as you have electricity available somewhere close to where it's going.
  16. TUN.co. read much? Tun.co is the kernel you need in order to run a private TUNnel. Weird tho, I can run openvpn connect on my phone with no problem, but it just won't run on the 808b, says it cannot find tun.co so I downloaded an app that supposedly installs it but it just freezes the device. We don't torrent hbo stuff any more any way, a friend of ours lets us use her hbogo sign on info.
  17. Yeah I have an account with private tunnel but I can't get it to jive with the 808. There's a kernel missing called tun.co so I rooted it and flashed in a rom that supposedly had this tun.co but it still wouldn't work. The only time the cable company would say anything was when I would let the download go too long and it would start seeding. I guess hbo tracks the ip address of people uploading their content.
  18. Lol....govt jobs aren't real jobs.
  19. Of course the day I talk up the mk808b it figures I go to turn it on and it's stuck on the boot screen. Ordered the newest fastest one before leaving for work. While there I realized I could probably just re-flash the os rom. Got home and had the thing running again in ten minutes. Now I'll have 2. Am thinking of trying to find a cheap 27" tv to put in the garage and hook it up to the 808 so I can download service manuals on pdf and display them on it instead of getting greasy fingerprints on my phone. Back to topic, we must be dumb or lazy, we have cable, high speed internet, netflix, amazon, cable on demand movies etc... I've thought about shutting off cable but I love having a dvr and coming home from work to find new episodes of whatever series I'm addicted to at the time waiting for me. Yes I can torrent them for free but it takes time and my cable company has busted me a few times downloading sopranos.
  20. I know, I'm friends with her. She posts 237 pictures a day of her kittens.
