  1. It's not advanced training. It's intermediate training, which most likely means drills from compressed ready, follow-ups, double-taps, reloads, coming out of the holster etc. I am all for training of any kind and while I don't advise against it, you should evaluate if this is going to keep your current skill-set sharp or build upon it before you drop your $50.
  2. Pvc pipe and a wooden dowel are about all you need, they make specialty tools but you don't really need them to do the job safely. Find out what weight oil your forks need and how much. If they feel a little soft, put a higher weight oil in. Tranny fluid is about 7-7.5 if it takes 5 wt and you want it a little stiffer. I know guys who have used dextron in forks with zero problems. Main thing is seating the seals without damaging them, that's what the PVC pipe is for. 1.5 inch should be good but measure your chrome legs and buy accordingly.
  3. Could have some more bits of friction plate lodged places. Reconstruct the broken pieces, see if anything significant is missing, could be binding something in there.
  4. Fix lasted him a few days then the plug blew out...looks like its time for a new head.
  5. You should use the jets that your carbs are made for. You can probably dial the chub out of the idle with your idle air screw but the pilot jet controls gas flow up to 1/5 throttle depending on the carb design. I wouldn't try to fix it with an ait filter, that's going to lean out your mixture across the board, just get the correct jets, they're only a couple.bucks.
  6. In the Midwest, where the worst drought in 50 years hurt crops this year, Accuweather.com said snowfall levels would fall short of normal levels again this winter. We are in the Midwest, not the northeast or the Rockies.
  7. You definitely aren't going to get $350 for a $280 USED (doesny matter if its never been shot) gun and $25 worth of ammo....not here anyway. Sell it for what its actually worth, $300.
  8. Looks like a fun little scoot, I'd put a yoshi pipe on it.
  9. Yeah, idgaf what they say, when you're cutting that seat and running that tap in there, some chips are going to find their way into the motor. I guess you could rotate it to tdc and shoot shop air in there to blow them out but I wouldn't trust it.
  10. Isaac's papa wanted $600 to helicoil it. There was really no thread left, you could just push the plug in with your finger. Also, helicoil requires removing the head, and If I'm going that far I'd just as soon replace it than trust a helicoil.
  11. Holy fuck on the v-5 van, that's just funny. I hope this fix lasts him long enough to tear the bike down and fix it proper.
  12. So my buddy Jamal (malaysianinvasion) had a loose plug in his katana streetfighter and didn't know it and eventually the plug stripped the threads out of the head. The bike sat in my garage for a few weeks while he tried to find a deal on a head, then a co-worker gave me an idea: metalset. Metalset is basically the industrial version of jb weld. 2-part epoxy with aluminum powder mixed in. We figured fuck it, worst case is it doesn't work and we ha e to replace the head. Best case, it gets him through the season and his bike out of my garage. It was a success! I didn't have much faith in it but he just rode out of here firing on all 4. I was worried that it wouldn't ground the plug against the head because epoxy is an insulator, but the shit worked. Thoughts? Criticisms?
  13. I clicked the link from my phone and it took me to a page with all the contestants. Since I am not pedophile bear I can't quite pick her out of the crowd.
  14. I'd drop the price a tad, I've seen those for $300 new.
  15. Well let me know what the shipping is and then we can negotiate my best offer.
  16. The old kaw and yam triple smokers were great motors but would definitely have much different characteristics than a 4-stroke triple. An r6 with a 675 trip would be hot tho.
  17. I really really don't wanna drive halfway to Cbus to buy used tires. Shipping should be easy, you slap a label on them, get them weighed and send em out. I understand if you don't want the hassle tho.
  18. +1 on the kitchen bikini sammich pic...oh, and welcome to the circus.
  19. Both 17 inch rim size? Will you ship to 44646?
  20. I try to be a nice person and use my manners in both realms of interaction but I also can't seem to tolerate abject stupidity. I have this character defect where if someone obliviously does or says something just idiotic, I have to inform them of their status as a mouth-breather...its an abrasive quality that ensures about half the people I interact with won't want a repeat performance, which is fine because half the people I meet are fucking idiots...except on here, I'd have to say there are only a couple that I've encountered on ORDN and most of those people don't stay long.
