Not oc but back in the late 90's, early 00's there was an annual fall party by Akron u called allyn fest after the name of the street. Keg parties galore, hundreds of people in the streets. Inevitably people would pile furniture and whatever else they could find in the middle of the road and set it on fire. That's when the riot squad would start launching cs grenades into the crowd. Lol, I've never owned a kat, I can however appreciate it for what it is. A dependable bike that's fairly easy to work on that's comfortable enough for all day rides and quick enough to keep a new rider entertained for a few seasons.

The Kat was good for it's day and you can swap any air-oil gsx motor into the frame so it makes a good core for a street fighter build and with an 1100 or 1200 in there you can have a lot of fun on it. Is it gonna turn with an r6? No. Is it going to accelerate with an 1198? Absolutely not. Is it a reasonable bike for someone to enter the world of sport bikes on? Absolutely and that makes it a great bike.

I'd guess it's starved for fuel from the sound of things. Like stated above make sure gas is getting to the carbs. If it's vacuum petcock it will have a prime setting. Should say pri on the petcock somewhere. That will allow gas to fill the carbs. Let it prime a few minutes and then try it. If it lights up, switch it from pri to on and see if it stays running. Also like stated above look for linked lines, rotted vacuum hoses etc.

Bulbs included. No on/off switch. Mounted a few in my garage and they're not super bright....

Ordered a set of wrx sail panels (door corners) that are designed to have tweeters mounted inside and a set of infinity reference series component speakers with crossovers. Once the Nissan sells I'll buy a double-din gps head unit and a ton of deadener and some new speakers for the rear doors and spend a day doing a full audio upgrade. The doors feel and sound especially tinny and hollow due to the lack of sound deadener because base model. Gonna fix that for good when I do the door speakers. Also going to put a sub in the trunk. Nothing crazy, just a single 600 watt kicker comp 12 on a power acoustic gothic series 600 watt amp. Not tying to entertain the neighborhood, just want a little thump.

B king. Fz6 fz1 599 cb1000r z1000 tl1000s bandit etc.... A properly boosted bandit will make 220 hp reliably. My cousins buddy has one. It's legit scary on the street when it comes up on the boost.

A buddy of mine is a contractor and has a pile of these leftover. Before I post pics or price I want to see if there is a demand. They're between 2 and 3 feet long dual tube fluorescent lights. They're designed to light display cabinets and be linked together with a single power source. Plenty bright. Post up if you're interested and I'll unbox a few and post pics.
