  1. It was ridiculously crowded and mostly with drunk pirates. There were some cool bikes and stuff but most of the other displays were for getting your info for targeted marketing. Everything is crazy expensive, I think I paid close to $20 for a beer, chilli dog and fries. The way the place is laid out makes it impossible to navigate, I'm sure I didn't see everything.
  2. Never again. I may come up for post show shenanigans if there's gonna be any but last year was such a shit show I swore I'd never return.
  3. The original navy frogmen were issued rolex watches because they were waterproof, rugged and had a sweep second hand, which the navy regulations required of a dive watch. The seals carried on the tradition since they were born from the frogmen and also issued rolex submariners. After the advent of rugged, affordable water resistant digital watches some teams switched to the time iron man, but could do so only after the navy regs were changed from 'sweeping second hand' to 'ability to measure elapsed time'. Issuing/repairing/replacing a $50 watch was more economic than a $700 watch and the repair turnaround time on the rolex was long. When the g shock came out it blew the iron man out of the water and became one of the watches of choice.
  4. I like the orient dive watch, especially with the power reserve. May look into those. ..
  5. Current collection. 2 g shocks, a nautica I bought like 12 years ago, an original grain my wife got me and the bulova.
  6. Saw this a few years ago. Pretty sweet.
  7. http://blog.princetonwatches.com/bulova-re-branding-tuning-fork-logo/ This is where I found the info along with a link to a pdf of the original company memo. Prior to 2014 every bulova I've seen had the logo.
  8. Incorrect. In 2014 they removed the tuning fork from all models but the accutron 2. They did this to better represent the brand as the tuning fork is an icon of the original accutron, which was the world's first electronic watch and used a tuning fork that vibrated at a specific frequency to operate the balance wheel. Bulova does not make a 'budget' or blemish line.
  9. We always used the oven. Marinate venison in liquid smoke, hit sauce and woosrchestershire sauce, hang over oven rack, put oven on 150 and prop the door open. I've also seen it made with a box fan and the plastic grid used for rebuildable furnace filters.
  10. Today the mailman is bringing me a Bulova 96A118. Mechanical self-winding watch with dual aperture dial and 2 complications. $500 retail. Got it new with tags off eBay for $126.
  11. 20" ar15, stainless fluted barrel, free float handguard, 5-15x50 weaver scope?
  12. Figured I would dig this thread up. Wife bought me an original grain watch for our anniversary (look em up). That sparked a renewed interest in watches. Now I have 5. 2 g-shocks, one of which is solar and sets it's self to the atomic clock once a day.
  13. Oh christ, don't disagree with the biggots in a biggoted post. Fuck the lot of you.
  14. Wings were sub par for sure. Bike nights were pretty lame.
  15. The crusaders were European. They invaded the middle east and holy land and basically ransacked it. Then they left and went back to europe....and who brought up the crusades anyway?
  16. No data no browser no Google no video no camera no mp3 no gps no Wi-Fi no YouTube. It was a tough phone for sure but that's all it did.
  17. Christianity contains and in most cases endorses all of those things. Killing entire tribes, their animals and salting the earth so nothing will grow, legitimizing rape through marriage, slavery, it's all the same. You must realize that in the time these books were written women and children were basically property. War was how everything was dealt with and shit was basically all fucked up. That's the bronze age for ya. With all the islamaphobia on here it's no wonder Mike ali, bikerboy80 and the malasianinvasion all quit visiting the forum and coming on rides.
  18. Explain to me exactly how and why a citizen would pose as a refugee.
  19. Of the 745,000 refugees admitted into the US since 9-11 only 2 were found to be connected to terrorism. They were aiding an quaida in Iraq. None of the Paris attackers were refugees. They were all French citizens.
  20. I've seen it daily for my entire career. It gets a little old....
  21. You can build the exact AR15 you want cheaper than you can buy that m&p for.
