  1. It wouldn't have been bad if it didn't rain for at least 6 hours a day every day we were traveling. Got frustrating.
  2. Raw video. Gsxr 600 following VFR.
  3. After the last trip I'm not sure I'll ever ride down again lol.
  4. Ryan, if you want we could take my truck and throw two bikes in the back, plus the trailer.
  5. Got a nice picture of him putting his piece in the tree.
  6. Dak, I want to go down there again later this year. Going to need a trailer lol.
  7. One if my favorites if me from the weekend.
  8. I have some raw video and some other pictures to post. But they arent nearly as bad ass.
  9. Nice vid Doc. Thanks for inviting me to enjoy this trip with you. I will never forget that week, one of the best iv had even with the rain. Sitting here at work I still cant think of anything else except that trip.
  10. Thats me. What year did you graduate?

  11. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duramax_V8_engine Sorry it was an LBZ
  12. As for the 6.0 We had 3 cars being towed to georiga last year. One by a LB7 DMAX, one by a 6.0 powerstroke, and one by an 02 F150 with 110k miles. Guess which one had to be towed back after crossing the WV line lol.
  13. I spent a long time figuring out what to get. Gas or diesel, 1/2 or 3/4 ton. I have races that I tow my car to that are in Georiga, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland and sometimes Florida. I am only towing 7k so while a diesel would have been nice I didnt NEED one. And the risk of putting thousands of dollars in injectors or needing to spend thousands just to make it reliable bothered me. But I did not want to buy a gas 3/4 due to their MPG unloaded since the truck woudl also be my DD. I settled on a 1500 Ram laramie. Has everything you can imagine on the inside. 7year 100k warrenty. I get 17mpg unloaded and it tows what I need just fine. has 395hp and 407tq so its fun unloaded as well.
  14. IMO, if you arent pulling over 10k all the time you dont need a diesel. Under warrenty they are great, after that they are WAY to expensive to fix.
  15. I thought the fast group pace last year was great. Once we got the group sorted out atleast.
  16. Man, wish these would have been for sale earlier in the year. Good luck.
  17. Nivin, if you find a trailer I can tow us down. I dont mind riding that one day. But leaving for the gap for a week that monday makes it a little rough on the ol back. im sure I would be fine though.
  18. I was thinking of taking my GTO there. but meh....
  19. Its a great sounding bike, and guys have over 100k miles on them. I wanted to trade mine in on a more sport oriented bike. But feel like whatever I get it will be missing soemthing that the VFR had. My wife doesnt ride on the back much, maybe once a month we will go somwehere but she is relatively comfy when she is on it. I am not sure how fast you ride, but I do hit my pegs on occassion which is an issue. But at the same time its nice that they are there to tell you to calm the f down.
  20. I love my VFR, the only problem I have had was the front cam chain tensioner went bad. Other than that just normal maintenance. Its a bike that does everything well, but maybe not the best. Its comfortable, but not as comfy as a tourer. It is quick, but not as quick as a 600cc sportbike. I actually think it handles great. IMO its the best compromise you can get for comfort and fun. FWIW I bought mine used but it had a custom seat on it, let me see if I can find a good picture. Its like sitting on a couch. These are from right when I brought it home a few years ago. If you are worried about Ergos here is a site you can use to compare the two bikes. Judging by the site the VFR would be slightly more comfortable. http://cycle-ergo.com/
  21. VFR800, what a hunk of fuck that thing is.
