Have been down there alot in the past 2 months. I think we are trying to stay in neo as there are alot that need to leave early.

My wife is about the same, 2 hours at a time. But she is getting surgery on her hip, has a torn labrum so I think shes going to be MIA for a bit.

I bet that was scary running up to your wife laying there unconscious.

I try to pass them at a reasonable pace and with enough distance. The only vehicles I pass at a slower pace are Amish wagons. I'd hate to spook a horse and cause an accident. Rode 350 miles on saturday and another 100 on sunday.

I have a Disaster Recovery test at work saturday night but im in, just might need to head home a little early.

My dad and I were in the area as well. Ended up in marietta and came up 26.

Nivin, I hit 25k miles on mine yesterday and havent had the valves chacked. I bought it with 14k on it last summer, most people say to just wait until 30k miles to have the maintenance done. More often than not they take it in for the maintenance and they valves are fine.

I am trying to get my friend scrubbed in to come out with you guys. Been doing alot of riding with him. Rode down 164 and hit 646 and came up 9 last night. He was real sore, and he needs to get a little more comfortable with bends before he can keep up with you guys though. But does everything else like he has been riding for years.

Maybe il try to keep it over vtec next time for a turn or two to see if I like it.

If I had an I4 or anything else with out vtec I would keep it about 6-7k rpm. But thats where the vtec comes in and as bad mentioned you dont want to hit that transition in the middle of a turn. So you keep it higher and deal with the vibrations or lower and not have as much power or as much smoothness.

Understood. I never usually go lower than 4th gear, I dont like the extra vibrations from vtec, maybe its different on your newer vfrs though. I also did the snorkel and flapper removal though and have a 2 brothers with no baffles so it might stem from that as well. Thinking im going to put the baffles back in for a change.
