I have a route planned for this spring I would like to ride on. Does anyone have any ideas on road conditions for this path? "Yes I know it starts in Pittsburgh, good stuff starts in Wheeling"

To much stuff to do on the bike before I can ride it

I just picked up a pair of Alpinestars A-10 air-flow pants. I am going to wear them during spirited rides, maybe moderate rides as well.

Just read this doc.
It could have been alot worse, Detroit really isnt that far away. 3.5 hour ride to Bolivar.

I have a little over 5 weeks this year and would like to take a trip Nivin. But I have so many other things planned im not sure how long I could be gone. Will have to see just how "mini" the mini trip is.

wah.. your prepping her real good, so no more ducati dream? i wish to get a leaner and meaner bike just to get a feel of the bike, i never rode the zx6r when i had mine.
It is still in the works. Wont be until fall if I do end up getting it, im trying not to look at them right now so I dont do something that will get me a divorce.

Cant wait for next year doc... s20 tires and a f4i re valved rear shock
-
Glad to see you made it our of that ok doc. Wish I could still be riding with you this year :-(

I agree. Once you are committed to the corner at speed, "riding it out" is best.
Only problem that can come up from this is if you are hitting a long strip of gravel. Get the bike too sideways and you gonna high side when it catches. But as you adn other said, its best just to ride it out and see/react to what happens.

Might be in for Saturday.

Sorry to miss this ride, I was in Indianapolis for a race. Probably just as well since my cam chain tensioner is bad. Glad everyone is ok.
Nivin, you and your rides will be missed when you leave. You introduced me to another style of riding. Hope to get one more in this year if at all possible.

I was the guy riding in the fast group with no third gear.
-
man, my jacket makes me look like a fat ass.

Speaking of that...to the fast group: how about that POS Chevy Beretta that we came upon? He was pushing that thing past the limit, but he was actually putting up a "decent" pace.
Yea I know, he was trying to keep up with UP. When he decided tgat wasent going to happen he let us by.

Nivin, Jerry, uncle punk, bikerboy and I took a little detour on the way back up north. Was almost as fun as the loop.
-
always taping something
-
Did anyone have any video in the fast group? I dont recall seeing any.
-
Just got home. 388.3 miles today.
-
I am hoping the rain they say we are going to get is just left over from tonight. I would ride on a wet road as long as it isnt raining.
-
Would like to get one, but my seat is redone as well. And mine is asphalt black.
Any idea on these road conditions?

Thanks guys, this would be a spring time ride well after the salt and muck are gone. Will just have to keep an eye out for gravel. I thought about taking 7 down to Marietta and coming up 26 the whole way but this ride will be long enough for now.
