You guys going to Pitt 6/2-3?

    Il be in and out.

Wifes birthday is 6-1 and having a get together at the house on 6-2. Il probably just drop stuff off Friday then bead back home. Then go back home Saturday at 2 or 3. Then be back Sunday am.

  2. To be honest I think that weekend is going to be a bit of a mess. This is normally an n2 track and with evolve running it there is going to be people in evolve who have never been there, maybe people in N2 that normally run in I who should be in an E3 group and not quite there for A yet. I'm curious to see how it all pans out, maybe they will run all 4 groups? Does n2 A go to E3 or straight to E3? If N2 I goes to E3 the E3/4 group will be packed.

  3. Our normal group of guys is going to be at pirc on Saturday the 28th and then head to summit point later that evening. N2 is running on shenny so most of us will probably just hang out and grill or whatever that day. Then run main on monday and be home that evening.

I am full in terms of bikes, not sure what space ron has left in his TH. But if anyone was interested in tagging along we could make it happen.

TD is with Evolve Saturday and N2 at Summit.

  4. Also... there is more to look at than tow rating. Technically I am overweight when I tow my 5th wheel in my ram 2500.

Gcwr is combined weight of the truck and trailer. I am about 23000lbs and under what the ratings are set for with some room to spare. All good there

Gvwr is what your truck can weigh when hooked up. So my truck weighs 7800ish lbs empty. Add in driver, passengers, 5th wheel hitch, and pin weight from the camper and I am like 800lbs over on the truck since it is rated at 10,000. While it is capable of more it's set for registration purposes pretty much most 3/4 ton trucks you see towing a 5th wheel and some larger TT are overweight in that regard.

Then you have axle weights (gawr) which is how much the axle of the truck is able to support, there should be a sticker on your door. I am 6500lbs on the rear and I think 6k up front, and I have room to spare on each of these weights.

Then you have tires. I dont think most passenger tires have a very high weight rating but dont know of what most are off the top of my head. My truck is 3650 per tire so they can support 7300lbs combined for each pair and I am well within that weight as well.

With that said it's got to look pretty bad or you have to do something dumb to get pulled over and weighed. However you could be held liable if you were in an accident.

Just throwing that out there for consideration.

  5. Go into it knowing they will all break something at one point or another but they are pretty easy to work on.

I got a used 2014 Keystone raptor toy hauler last year and have had decent luck so far.

Issues so far.. the roof seemed like it was never washed but it's in good shape so I cleaned and sealed it, which should be done regularly anyways. It has an on board cummins generator and I had some issues with deposits in the carb on that but cleaned them. Also the fuel pump on the fuel station was locked up. Apparently after time has caused the gears in the motor to swell and hit each other causing it to lock up. I took it apart and replaced the gears with a different type and its ran great ever since.

They all have their quirks but you learn to work around them or maintain it in such a way to prevent common issues. We love going camping though and it's great at the track (though I know that's not what you are looking for).

Ok thanks. Odd to have different groups with different passing rules if they run together

Same rules I think but they split up the group by pace incase it's a real busy day and they run 4 groups.

    They are both A groups.

I did 1 day with them. Not as strict with things as N2 and the pace was not there compared to n2 days.
