  1. I have a funky, period correct Tracy fairing I took off mine if you are interested. See what your VIN is, this is Suzukis first 4 stroke motorcycle. Mine is 0069. http://thegsresources.com/ ....Great model specific website, everything you need to know about your GS is there. They tried to make a four stroke back in the fifties, but no one counts that. The GS was released in other countries in 76, but waited until 77 to bring it out in the US.
  2. I run an MS362. It is a beast power wise, but very heavy.
  3. I'm not into the group ride thing, but I could be a final sweep in my truck/trailer with some tools, gas, tie-downs, cooler full of water, basic first aid kit.......you get the idea. I would really be bringing up the far rear, but should something happen the rest of the group could move on knowing help was not too far behind. Just a thought.
  4. It started going off the rails when you guys started being nice. I rescind my original comment. I would have thought you sharks would have smelled blood in the water with the "Let's get rowdy" comment.
  5. He was a good guy. I was the Cycra Product Manager for a couple of the large distributors and he was my contact. Always a smile on his face. The news reports are inaccurate in saying he was not wearing a helmet. I spoke to his family last night at the visitation and they said the police have changed their assessment of the accident and now say he was wearing a helmet, but it became dislodged in the accident. Read into that what you will, but I assume it was very bad. I know some people that have ridden with him and say he was a very good rider. Deer are so unpredictable, be careful out there.

  7. The Schuberth people were doing demos at Iron Pony during the Victory event. They said Iron Pony has the largest "on hand" selection of Schuberths in the US.
  8. No worries, I have a bunch, but you can never have too many.
  9. Iron Pony has the Conti Motion set for $158. Great tire for the money. Support a local company that is an OR sponsor!
  10. 2nd in line if Flounder changes his mind.
  11. I've known Brad for many years, he is a good guy. The helmet factory that makes his helmets is the largest bicycle helmet factory in the world. They are probably in the top 5 motorcycle helmet producers & make many many famous brands of motorcycle & bicycle helmets. It is a good factory, I have been there about 30 times. The technology in their EPS is legit & tests worlds better than anything else out there. Many of the bicycle helmet manufacturers are pushing product development (their market is much larger than motorcycle) some of this technology is starting to make its way into motorcycle helmets. I know Iron Pony caries the range of Kali helmets.
  12. My dad had his in our basement. It is one of the bigger Liberty models. It was just against the wall in the "rec" room. I moved it using pry bars and about 10 pieces of conduit....."pyramids style" into one of the other rooms.

    Hello!

How is that Connie in cold weather? Long commute, right? I can do short rides in the cold, but anything more than a 1/2 an hour under 50 degrees kills me. Got a secret?
  14. A dual purpose bike. Simple, cheap, cheap to insure. Made to take naps so when someone pushes it over it will have minimal damage. Sun fading & crusty old dirt will just give you street cred with that crowd. Usually crazy gas milage. light nimbal & tall enough that you do not look like you are on some sort of toy, sometimes small displacment street bikes are physically very small. The only drawback is seat height. Lots of good choices out there.
  15. Dunn pulled into the parking lot of a Jacksonville, Florida, gas station alongside the SUV where Davis and three friends, all of them young African Americans, were listening to music. Not saying the shooter was right or wrong, but is a gas station the place you should be sitting listening to music in your SUV? Seems a little odd.
  16. http://germaintoyota.net/preowned-inventory/2011_Toyota_Yaris_Columbus_JTDJT4K37B5338446.aspx I would have already bought this if it had cruise control. Only 11K miles! Auto tranny and some good options. I bet they would take 10K +TTL She would have a car that would go another 190K miles & be cheap to operate & own.
  17. I'm looking at getting a Yaris. There is one at one of the Columbus dealers, a 2009 with 10K miles for $11K. I think you can put another 190K miles on it for the cost of tires & oil changes. If she wants little & cute I think the Scion IQ is another option, but I hate the transmission in the thing. There are already a few of those used on the local market and they just came out last year. Honda or Toyota are the way to go for longevity & cost of ownership.

    New Toy

The pain in your wrists is your forks bottoming out. 1/3 or more of your fork travel is gone because your tubes have been slid up so far in your triple clamps. That 1.5 lowering you're talking about was that in the rear too or did they just do your forks? Personally I'd adjust that back up a bit, & I bet your OE kickstand will even work then. Easy to try, it wouldn't take 10 minutes.
  19. I know a guy in Memphis that has two Boss Hoss motorcycles. One has a smallblock Chevy & the other has the Dodge V-10 (I think Boss Hoss has only made two of the V-10 bikes) Completely insane and over the top, but before you say he is one of "those guys" I need to tell you he has 20+ Honda RC30s as well. Despite the Boss Hoss' he is a pretty cool guy.
  20. Settle down there Francis. Perhaps I'm not good enough to ride those roads, perhaps I'm exactly the element you do not want there ....en masse. My point exactly.
  21. Nah, not for me. At least they used a cool MK25 in the video.
