  1. HELP ME, GET THROUGH...TODAY. THE DAY MY CHILD TOOK HIS OWN LIFE. HELP ME, GET THROUGH...THE PAIN. HELP ME, GET THROUGH...THE MEMORIES. HELP ME, GET THROUGH...THE STARES, FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHO JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. HELP ME, GET THROUGH...THE TEARS, I AM SURE TO SHED TODAY. HELP ME, GET THROUGH...THE FEELINGS, I AM GOING TO FEEL TODAY, THE PAIN, THE ANGER, THE DISBELIEF, THE WONDERING WHY? HELP ME, GET THROUGH...JUST TODAY. 14 years ago today my wife called me at work and said "Jer....You need to come home.....now". Our oldest Daughter made the decision to no longer walk this planet. Our lives have forever been changed and the ramifications from what she did still show their ugliness almost daily to those that new her. My Heart bleeds the most for my Wife her Sister and the 3 Kids she left behind. I pray that she found the peace she was looking for and that someday we that were left to deal with the situation find ours. I miss you Christy and love you.....big as the sky !!
  2. As always nice to see you guys. Thanks for the tow Mr. K. Had a time.
  3. I should be able to make this. See you guys later.
  4. I have riddin with both of these gentlemen. I can assure you that just because a race track may not be their prefered form of riding they are no slouches. Maybe you should join us/them on a ride sometime. You will be impressed.
  5. Depending on the weather I could be up for a few miles Jon.
  6. Do not believe it is factory part. Looks more like after market 60's-70's era because of round headlight. In the 80's the square headlight was coming into fashion. There were several aftermarket manufacturers that made these. Vetter,Rifle,Rickman,Bates, Aurthur Fulmer,Hannigan and more that I can't remember. Forgive me I no longer have senior moments,it's a constant way of life. It looks like the Rickman design concept somewhat. Bates had some crazy looking stuff,Vetter was all about aerodynamics. Then again not far off from the Rifle stuff. It looks very much like a Hannigan to me. I really would like to know what you find out. Someone built themselves a bike I bet. It could be a collectible piece.
  7. 10 days in Georgia. Good weather. Twisty roads. No bike. I is sad.
  8. https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ This is how recalls come to fruition as well as TSB's.
  9. All this +There is a reason they are called techs rather than mechanics. When they hook it up to a computer and no codes are present they have no flippin idea in most cases what to do......hence the expensive part they threw on your truck. Just for the heck of it go to a reputable transmission shop and inquire about your problem. They may have the answer. If the dealers shop is a flat rate shop those techs don't make as much coin troubleshooting as they do changing parts. It could as one poster said as simple as a intermittent connection in the wiring. Ask for the owner or at least the number one guy at the dealership and explain to him your dilemma. The customer is the one that needs to let them know if something is not right. People down the ladder are not gonna rat themselves out for screwing up.
  10. As far as real estate goes it is minimal loss on the grip. Can't even tell it's there. What they do say is that heated grips are a no no. Absolutely nothing wrong with a T-Meister. Same principle for all throttle locks----friction. What this has going for it is that a touch of the front brake and it cancels/releases. Knowing you are going to slow and wanting to release in a non emergency situation is one thing. Basically a non issue. But for that one time you need to whoa the horse now the Breakaway is worth it IMHO. That is the only advantage basically. No matter what you choose it's just like everything else........with use it becomes second nature.
  11. Congrats Hellmutt. Here's to many happy and safe miles. Here is another choice for throttle locks. IMHO safer than the others. Having had cruise on the Wing for so many years a simple pull on the front brake lever cancels the cruise. This one operates in that fashion as well as a button/lever to cancel. You never have to think about manually closing the throttle. Though you can. It is still a friction device. Works well on my VStrom. http://www.brakeawayproducts.com/
  12. http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2014-Ducati-MultiStrada%201200GT-114844701 This one is almost 5K off msrp. Proly could cook a fly and ride for spring. I'm in Atlanta now. 98 bucks for a round trip ticket. These are advertised bikes. I bet there are other dealers with similar deals or even better that don't advertise. NinjaDoc got a smoking deal by shopping around. Good luck in your quest.
  13. If you have your sights set on a Multistrada do a nationwide search on cycle trader. There are a couple bargains if you are willing to travel, don't mind a leftover and have the cash to pull the trigger. http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2014-Ducati-Multistrada%201200%20S%20Pikes%20Peak-116332942 Don't think you would be happy with an FJ09. Pretty nice engine. The rest did not impress me. Rode one twice. Ergos almost just like my VStrom. Defiantly not worth 8K more than I have in my VStrom.
  14. http://www.pointviewcycle.com/ This place is not far from me. Can't tell you anything about them personally. Small town west of YTown.
  15. Total bummer on your get off but glad that you came out ok Jacob. You never really think much about gravel in left handers but You can't rule it out. Again glad your fine.
  16. In his defense. Wrong bike. Just sayin.
  17. http://www.plotaroute.com/ Came across this and have been fooling around with it. It is pretty awesome. Desk top and mobile versions. Go to the tutorials on the home page and watch the vids. Has some very nice features. I believe it works world wide so if you happen to be traveling you can have everything saved ahead of time.
  18. I'm in ladies. See ya later.
  19. Looks like a route for the little Red Bike. She is feeling neglected. Jon will be good to see you again. If I'm over this arthritis flare up I'm in. Tour Sport...........that should be interesting.
