  1. What are the differences between novice and intermediate? Different rules? Amount of track time? Also, do you do track lap times? Do they rent transponders?
  2. Ballin out of control. How much did you get them for?
  3. Well it looks like I'm going to have a nice five-day weekend the 4th-8th after working almost three weeks straight and it's also my birthday on the 9th, so I've decided to do my first trackday on the 7th! Anyone else going? I'll be running in Novice of course... I think I've got everything I need... leathers, boots, helmet, gloves, back protecter, and water wetter in the rad. Anything else I need to do to the bike besides take off the mirrors and tape the lenses? Tires are Conti Sport Attacks with about 1000 miles on them. Seems to be very little wear on them. I think I'm going to get new brake pads too. I'm getting pretty excited for this... just worried I'll wreck.

  5. Probably a good idea. I only wear a helmet when I'm riding a standup on big waves or trying to get inverted...
  6. Get a 100 MPH rated vest... I see a lot of the guys hitting 80+ using helmets too. The guy I bought my ski off of and his dad both took trips to the hospital after 70+ get offs.
  7. Similar mods to yours except it has a Riva SC wheel in the 215 charger and stock injectors. I've got a Groco strainer on order. Only had it about a month.
  8. Keep an eye on that Riva intercooler... they kind of suck. Mine was clogged when I got the ski causing exhaust temp alarms at WOT, then leaked water into my intake after I cleaned it out. Chocolate milk oil FTL. I've got a cheapo Ebay IC on the way that uses the same core, but in a single-pass water configuration instead of Riva's double-pass. Also, fuck Riva's plastic IC and exhaust tubes.
  9. Buy stuff in $150 increments to score more free shirts! You only get one shirt if you spend $1000 at once...
  10. Can you give some more details on the skis? I've been working on SeaDoos and Yamahas for a while now...
  11. That Guy, I've got a cheap $200 OBO trailer that holds two stand ups if you need it. I need to get it out of my driveway...
  12. Stand ups? Hell yea! About time some people around here get some real skis. What did you get? My friend and I ride Superjets regularly at Delaware and Erie; occasionally at Alum. I'm still finishing putting mine back together this week but we would be game for some real CR skiin soon...
  13. I'm going to get in my first track day in June and would like to have a professional set my bike up for me. I've never done it before and the previous owner had it set up for his weight (~250lb) while I'm a bit lighter at 165lb. Any recommendations? Thanks
  14. The GF has a YZ250F she flattracks but has problems starting it without assistance because it is too tall. I've never been into dirtbikes; what would be a good stand to get her so that she can start it without needing help? Rear stand? Box stand? Need something sturdy... Thanks
  15. I've got two 2005 RXPs for sale if you're looking to upgrade... both with ~50 hours on them. One is bone stock and the other has a Riva Stage 1 kit.
  16. What kind of parts? Not really sure what else I could even do to it...
  17. Picked up a mint 2005 RXP with 48 hrs, a stage 2 Riva kit, Riva ECU, UMI steering, Jettrim seat, and a nice trailer for $3000 today... finally ready for summer!
  18. They can run for a short period of time using the air in the engine bay but it will fill up very quickly. Luckly, this ski has dual 500gph bilage pumps to quickly remove any water that gets in! Scupper valves are also popular to quickly vacate water after a sub... I can't sub yet either... it's so much harder than it looks!
  19. Rode them today at Delaware! Ran perfectly for two hours... now I'm pooped
  20. I've thought about attempting that with my R6! Just make a very small aluminum trailer big enough for my stand up and a gas can...
  21. With just a little bit of practice you'll be able to do stuff like this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmYpMkePPQc&feature=related
  22. I've got it up on PWCToday and a few other places. They definitely are a workout! You'll be hurting all over after a day of riding if you don't normally work out often. You can easily bunny hop them right out of the water or get some pretty good air off of your own set up wakes. Boat wakes or waves can get you some serious air...
  23. Yea I purchased them as a package deal from a guy who wouldn't seperate them and am just trying to get half my money back. They are a blast to ride once you figure out how to!
  24. Figured I'd post this here where the people who might be interested would see it. I have for sale a ridiculously clean and very good condition 1991 Yamaha Superjet 650cc. I am asking $2500 OBO as it sits with the 650cc motor or $3000 OBO with a 701cc motor swapped in. Water tests and compression tests are available for serious buyers. Might trade for some other 3-person 4-stroke ski. Water tests available. Not for the faint of heart or the excessively lazy. Mods: -ProTec full exhaust -Skat 12/17 prop -MSD ignition -MSD CDI box -Trim system with Wamiltons trim lever -Wamiltons footholds molded in -Hydroturf tray covering -PJS rideplate -New battery -New start/stop switch assembly, new stator, new rectifier -fuel primer -dual cooling setup -water box -K&N filter and ProTec filter sock -Blowsion polespring -Dual front exhaust -Dual bilge pumps -Brand new carb Additional pics available here: http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m187/limitedslip7/SN%20Superjet%20650/
