  1. Sweeeet, thanks! PM me your paypal address if you want the ten bucks!
  2. Nah, for the For Sale sections it's 30 days and 50 posts
  3. Ummm... are you guys being serious? Holy hell I thought this movie was a worthless piece of shit; I was pissed I downloaded it from Piratebay. This MUST be a troll thread... if so well done.
  4. But this is just for a DD! It will motivate me to finish the 7...
  5. I'm trying to pick up an Evo before Christmas but I haven't been a member on Evolutionm.net long enough to post in the FS section. If someone could post a WTB ad for me in the "Evo 1-9 Cars for Sale" section I will paypal you $10. I need this done ASAP though, preferably tonight if possible. Whoever posts it PM me your Evom.net SN and your paypal account. You may also want to make it extra clear to PM Limitedslip7 instead of you as people usually seem to have trouble reading an entire post. Here is what I want posted: The title: "WTB: Your 2003-06 RR Evo Before 2011" The body: "I'm looking to buy a clean 2003-2006 Evo before 2011. The reasons being that I have time off work from the 24th through the 2nd and would have plenty of time to drive/fly to pick the car up. Also, if I get a 2006 I can get a 4% interest rate on the loan, but only for the rest of 2010. Details about the car I am looking for: -I REALLY want a Rally Red, but would also be interested in blue, maybe silver depending on the deal -Preferably stock bodied with the stock wing -Engine mods would preferably be done by a well known and respected shop, but at minimum must be well documented with receipts (hard to pull apart a motor when inspecting a car) -Tuned on 91/93 Octane preferably, but E85 would be acceptable if the price is right -Located within a two day drive from Ohio or be willing to split shipping costs -I have up to $17k to spend on a 2003-2005, and up to $20k to spend on a 2006, but those amounts are reserved for exactly what I want -Post your car in this thread, PM Limitedslip7, or email me at limitedslip7@aol.com" Thanks
  6. How much are you asking for it? Details on the car? It would be great not to have to fly to another state and drive one back... I started checking out evolutionm.net, looks like there are quite a few potentials on there.
  7. Anyone know of any Evos for sale around here? I'm looking to pick one up for a new DD. My price range is $14-18k and I really don't want one in black. Stock or modified is fine but I would prefer something with stock/mild cams. I would be willing to travel out of state and drive it back if needed. I also have a heavily built turbo PP 13B 2nd gen RX7 that I could trade.
  8. Lol, I went ahead and took that pic down just to be on the safe side, I doubt the ATF shares my sense of humor. Huh, I've only tried to put 14 rounds into the mag. I know you can get aluminum mag covers that will allow you to hold 18.
  9. You can get them for five hundy if you look hard enough. Huh, didn't know that. What about one of those bipod/light combos? I wish this thing had a quad rail...
  10. I've been wanting this pistol ever since I rented a CZ 75 a few months ago and finally decided a week ago to pull the trigger and buy it. I really wanted a CZ 75, but also wanted a higher capacity than 10 rounds, so the EAA Witness Match .40 fit the bill perfectly. Came in a sweet case with combination locks: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m187/limitedslip7/IMG_2019.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m187/limitedslip7/IMG_2021.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m187/limitedslip7/IMG_2024.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m187/limitedslip7/IMG_2030.jpg Put 200 rounds through it so far. The adjustable sights were off from the factory; it was shooting about 2 inches low at 15ft. I zeroed it in and this is what I was getting at 35ft. http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m187/limitedslip7/IMG_2018.jpg Their website doesn't show or list the gun having a rail, but it showed up with one, so I had to put something on it. Everyone at the range were giving me weird looks... prolly just jealous that I look like such an operator. http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m187/limitedslip7/IMG_2031.jpg Overall, I'm pretty damn happy with the gun. It has an adjustable trigger with a very clean break at about 3lbs. I spent 20 min adjusting the preslack out of it and now its one of the best triggers I've ever felt. Downsides to the gun: Heavy! Feels like its a few more ounces than a friends 1911. The sights really should have been zeroed from the factory and are completely black. Sights are first on my upgrade list. Also, I've had several misfeeds where the round is jammed between the mag and the top of the barrel. From what I've read the mag needs to be adjusted or the mag spring upgraded. I'll probably do both.
  11. Recently picked up a pair of 1998 Arctic Cat Tigershark TS770s in really good condition with a nice trailer. I've taken them out several times and can get them up to about 50-55, but of course I want more. I usually take them up to Erie for the waves, so I'd rather improve the acceleration more so than the top speed. Anyone know anything about these and what sort of mods I should do to accomplish this? I'm completely new to boating... Also, one of them has a low end hesitation/breakup that clears up once it gets a bit of speed (maybe 10-15mph or so). I replaced the plugs, but it didn't change anything. I'm planning on rebuilding the carbs this winter... These are carbed two-strokes by the way.
  12. Get Brown Bear from Cheaperthandirt.com for plinkin. It's about $.25/rnd; I've never seen .223 cheaper anywhere. I've shot about 600 rounds of it without a single problem, but it is noticeably weaker than M193.
  13. Nuke it from orbit. Simple, effective, and proven to work by the Russians.
  14. I'd still buy one; those cars are so damn sexy. Far better looking than any Vdub or Audi.
  15. Ummm... seriously? 22LR - 40gr, 104 ft.lb .223 - 55gr, 1282 ft.lb
  16. BlackWing Shooting Center has several different CZs you can rent.
  17. I've been looking around for a .40 cal carry/range pistol for a while now and have rented several from BW. So far I've tried out a Sig 226, Glock 22, Beretta PX4 (Hated it), held a XD40 (Didn't like the grip at all), and a CZ 75. I liked the Sig, but it's out of my price range, and the Glock wasnt bad either but theres the whole exploding issue to worry about. The CZ on the other hand, was friggen amazing. I've never been able to shoot a pistol as accurate or precise and it felt very solid. I shot both aluminum and brass cased ammo through it without any issues at all and the grip felt great. The only issue I have with it is the 10 rnd mag capacity. The EAA Witness is a CZ 75 clone but has a 15 rnd mag capacity. They are priced about the same, but I haven't seen one in person. Anyone on here have or shot one? How does it compare to the CZ 75? This is what I'm looking at getting: http://www.eaacorp.com/handguns-witness-steel-Full-TP.html
  18. I'm always game for playing on the weekends; usually just go out to Splatterpark because it's so hard getting a group together. I've got 3500 paintballs just sitting here that I need to shoot ASAP. If anyone wants to get a game going I'm in...
  19. How about a Mech. Engineer/CNC Programmer/Machinist/Fabricator/Mechanic/Designer? A copy of my resume is on the way...
  20. While paying for school is my primary reason, it is not the only. I would be going into this fully expecting to be deployed for up to a year. I think I'd actually enjoy most of it, my brother is in the Marines and he says its not too bad. I'm just trying to get a feel for what it actually is from people who are in so I know how much BS to dig through.
  21. Well, if I join as an officer right away in the Army National Guard I cannot get the student loan repayment option, which is my primary motivation for joining. They said I would have to start as an E-4 and apply for OCT upon completion of my MOS training.
  22. I graduated last June with a BSMET degree and was unable to find work for six months. I finally found a crap entry-level manufacturing engineering job three months ago making a paltry $35k/yr salary, but it has provided decent experience so far. I have quite a bit of student loan debt so I have been looking into joining a reserve branch of the military to help pay for it while maintaining a civilian engineering job. I first checked with the Army/Navy reserves but they claimed to only offer a $20k loan repayment for a 6 year enlistment (their website says $40k however), with no sign-on bonus and a high probability of multiple and lengthy deployments where I would be losing significant amounts of money/experience by not being able to work a civilian job. The Army National Guard recruiter said they are currently offering a $50k loan repayment for a 6 year enlistment and would still be eligible for a sign on bonus in the unlikely event that I was able to secure one of the few MOSs still offering them. They said to expect an overseas deployment of up to one year and the possibilty of much shorter domestic deployments. With yearly loan payments factored in, I would be making $13,063 as an E-4 or $17,187 as an O-1. They also said I would have to start as an E-4, finish my E-4 MOS training, then apply for OTS if I wanted to remain eligible for the student loan repayment. I have not yet talked with an Air Guard recruiter yet, but plan on doing so soon. However, I did receive a DUI three years ago. The Army Reserves recruiter said this would make it much more difficult to become an officer, but it was still possible. The NG recruiter didn't seem to think it would be too much of an issue and that I would just need a waiver. I'm sure this would especially limit my chances in the Air Guard. I'm not worried about the ASVAB or MEPS, I scored a 90 something on the ASVAB not too long after high school and have no physical ailments. All that being said, has anyone been in a similar situation and joined the National Guard? Would it be worth the time investment? I'm thinking about enlisting at the end of summer/fall but would really like to hear from people with actual experience. :bangbang:
  23. Seems like he knew a little bit of jits, about had an americana going...
