  1. http://dayton.craigslist.org/mcy/3384269930.html You can contact me here as well.
  2. You're reading it right. And nothing wrong with the venture. Still the same opportunities. Just looks like I will be starting it much slower than intended. She did put on hold her life goal of going to Nashville in exchange for giving the relationship a chance. So I guess I'll put my goal on hold as well.
  3. She comes from a traditional family. She likes the women do the cooking and cleaning role. So that can be a plus lol.
  4. So here's what ended up happening last weekend. I visited a realtor on Friday. They were confident the house would sell and I could make quite a bit of money so I went ahead with agreeing to put it on the market. Talked to my gf which I had talked to her about this before but I never ended up actually doing it. Well when she found out I actually was going to sell it she flipped out. Talked to my parents, they flipped out. Told me I need to talk to the gf before I make that kind of decision... So I call her back, her plan since we started dating had been to move to Nashville when she finished college (which will be the end of this week). Well... long story short... she is now moving in after Christmas this year and I'm not selling. So looks like I will remain in Ohio. As for the business idea... Which is the whole reason this started anyways... I will not be able to dive into it like I had planned. And I said I would not make a decision based off a relationship. Well... I'm failing. She was very excited about moving in, maybe a little to excited. Already asked me to clean out half the garage so she can put her car in there. And she cleaned out my closet to make room for her clothes. She also has a whole new design plan for the house. I mean.. I've got 2 months yet. We've been dating for 4. Okay guys... Tear me apart
  5. I'll take a look at the contract again. Those are all good questions. There is the sense of urgency that I don't want to wait 5 years to do it but I would be happy if I sold the house within a year. The reason we're doing the partnership is because we all bring something needed and very different to the table. As for the parents it's a good point. We are not dependent on their investment but it is something that would help. We plan to do it on our own but the investment would be nice.
  6. We already have an LLC based out of Nevada (no state taxes), a partnership agreement, and a lawyer.
  7. In the end the decision is mine. I ask for advice to consider things I may not have thought of to consider. And yes, I have talked with others lol
  8. I don't think so. The guys on here have experience that I don't have yet and many have given great advice already. I find when I've hit a road block on what I should do it's best to ask someone or a group of people who have been there before. Why make all the mistakes and learn the hard way when you can learn from someone elses successes or failures before you make a decision?
  9. It's music related. Not the same as being in the music industry. The music industry is brutal. But I'm not concerned about them not investing. They have already given a substantial amount and they're just as excited about it as we are. And I'm not your typical 23 year old. I've been making money off businesses I started since I was 10 years old.
  10. Yeah. Renters make me nervous
  11. Other houses in the neighborhood have sold fast and only a little less than the Zillow estimate so I think it's possible. After realtor fees and such though I would imagine it's cutting it pretty close.
  12. So I've thought about this for quite some time and need a little advice... I'm searching for the best route to dump financial obligations to pursue a business idea. Here's the situation... I'm 23 years old. I have a girlfriend but no kids. I bought a 3 bedroom 2 and a half bath house when I was 21 when I was dating a long term girlfriend at the time. I'm not much of a financial risk taker so when I bought the house I made sure if we broke up I could afford it on my own and I put it in only my name. Well... needless to say I did break up with her after I was cheated on and I kicked her out(happened a little over a year ago). Now I live in a pretty big house by myself that I don't need. Obviously, I'm passionate about being an entrepreneur and I have a business idea that I will need to be financially flexible for and will probably require me to move out of Ohio within the next year or two. Right now I have a steady good paying job that I somewhat enjoy and a business on the side that I can run from anywhere in the country until the new venture takes off. The way I see it is I only live once and this has been a life goal since I was 10 years old and I will do anything to achieve it. I only get one shot and will always regret it if I didn't take it. The current girlfriend wants to move to Nashville, TN and wants me to go with her. Which ironically is probably the best city in the country for me to pursue the business (music related). I will not make any decisions that leaves me dependent on my relationship with her (like buying another house). I have to always cover my own ass because you just never know what can happen. The house according to Zillow has about $40k in equity... but if we're being realistic it has more around $15k to $25k in equity. I have thought about selling it at what I owe and losing that equity to sell it quick. My time is more valuable to me. I do not have a home equity loan or any credit cards, I pay cash for everything. Only the car, motorcycle (to build credit I did payments), and house are debts. House and Motorcycle are both worth more than I owe. The car is not as it depreciates in value the fastest. My other option is to rent the house but I really DO NOT want to deal with all of the hassles of being a landlord. At the same time it keeps the asset with the potential of making some money. (can also end up costing me money with bad renters) I plan to keep working for a year and save up about $55k cash and live with my brother until I'm ready to make the leap. As far as how much of that will go to the business is minimal, at most $5k. The rest is to live off of to buy me time to pursue it. I'm starting this business with two other guys one of which has multi-millionaire parents that are willing to invest in the business once we get it started. We all have the same way of thinking and the same dedication to the idea. So my question is... What are my options? Do I sell or rent? What would you do in my shoes? Also going to sell the bike for $3k. I'll still be riding but on a borrowed R6 lol Can't give that up, I enjoy it to much.
  13. I wont be back up there again for a couple weeks. Plus I drive a BMW. Can't get much hay in that lol. I remember seeing a sign for it by the Van Wert County fairgrounds.
  14. I was just in Van Wert this past weekend. It was $1.50 a bale.
  15. Sometimes I wish I would have gotten a bigger bike to start on but I think about the times learning to ride and I come in to hot on a corner or have to steer quickly away from a driver that didn't see me or hammer the brakes when a dog decides it wants to bite my tires and I just know I would have dumped it all of those times if I had a bigger heavier bike. Starting on a lighter bike that I feel I have control over has helped immensely. Plus I never feel the urge to hammer it. It's going nowhere fast lol. Keeps you grounded and using your brain.

    iPad Mini

I found the iPad frustrating when I was trying to type. It couldn't keep up. Maybe with practice it would be easier if you're a touch typist. I can type about twice as fast using my thumb on my phone than I could type on the iPad. I see your points on being easier for web browsing and email though. I do a lot of web development on my Macbook. Transferring files and doing quick fixes is something I would want to use a tablet for if I can't get to my computer right away. I guess I could see it being useful to some people now.

    iPad Mini

Now I do love my Mac and my iPhone but I have never understood the appeal of the iPad. Now they are coming out with a mini version? http://www.cultofmac.com/184090/the-ipad-mini-everything-we-think-we-know-so-far-rumor-roundup/ When I think of a tablet I think of a touchscreen laptop with slightly less power and a smaller display. I just don't get the whole iPad craze. I've sat and messed with one for hours and never saw what it could do that my iPhone couldn't. It auto syncs your iPhone and iPad apps together so you end up with iPad apps on your phone that you can't use and small iPhone apps on your iPad. I want it to function like my Macbook Pro, not my iPhone. I want it to have a desktop with large file icons and folders and dropboxes. I want it to be able to run third party software like games and applications. There are a lot of apps and all that do some cool stuff but it's costly and just not the same. The only appeal I could see to the iPad is like a small TV where you can watch movies on road trips or on flights so I can see this being ideal when you travel. But the iPad mini?! Where's the appeal? To big for your pocket, to small to watch movies on. What do you guys think? Anyone agree or disagree? Am I missing something that makes the iPad worth it? /end rant
  18. I didn't read all the posts but out of curiosity why not a Mac?

    Quadski

Hmmm... Maybe they should advertise this more to an outdoorsman with deep pockets. I don't think a lot of people can justify $40k for the fun aspect but rather the ability to cross rivers and lakes to get to certain hunting / fishing spots? It's not a new idea but they did execute it well. They wont get far on that price point I don't think.
  20. I would make my own and stick them on cars
  21. Would be pretty hard to hold back from laughing if you were the caller.
  22. I'll sell my 2012 for $3200. Much better green than the 2011 color Never laid down. 1700 miles on it. Every bit of the bike is still in brand new condition. Upgrading to 600 next riding season
