  1. Maybe if you're blind
  2. Sorry, I ended up getting stuck at work until after 8 and went home, ate and went to bed so I didn't get a chance to look to see what I have on hand. I'll check tonight for sure. What model laptop do you have?
  3. I might have a few SSDs I can sell...this is an older pic, I think I have more now.
  4. Sorry to hear that MJ. Even minor injuries are no fun but there are worse outcomes. At least we're heading into the end of riding season (small consolation, I know).
  5. This. However, I'm all for making it legal. I did it once (mostly on the shoulder though) on my way home the day we had the big wind storm this spring. I barely made it home in time before it hit. Had I waiting in traffic, I would have been caught up in it. I was just in San Diego and a bike lane split next to us and I about crapped my pants. We were in stopped traffic and I wasn't expecting it...he was moving pretty good with a pretty loud exhaust (once he got beside and in front of us).
  6. Nah...maybe if you filled it 98% or so but you'd have 8GB free and besides, any slowdown would be writes and not reads. I'm guessing once you fill it, you would only be reading from it. You can get 128GB ones for <$80 but they are only USB 2.0 so slower interface but still fast enough to play music, etc from. You may not even have a USB 3.0 port on your PC anyway. I would not use an external hard drive to carry around everywhere - especially if you are going to be in places with a lot of people that could bump or knock it off the table. (i.e. DJ'ing)
  7. nice...if I didn't already have a $50 credit for iTunes I'd snag it. I rarely buy music and just the occasional app so it's lasted me awhile.
  8. Buy a 64GB thumb drive you can throw in your pocket and be done with it. Why mess with a spinning platter drive that's subject to damage from physical shock? I have one of these guys - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220791
  9. I'm due for an upgrade but I don't game much anymore so I can't justify spending the $ right now. I'd rather buy a new dirt bike i7 2600k @ 4.5GHz ASUS P8Z68-V Pro mobo 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 Corsair 1000HX PSU MSI GTX 590 GPU Corsair H100 H2O cooling SB X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty audio OCZ Vector 512GB OS SSD Kingston HyperX 240GB secondary SSD WD Velociraptor 1TB HDD
  10. Thanks...I haven't heard back if he's actually used it before or not but after reading a lot about it, that was one of my concerns.
  11. OMG. An elderly client of my wife's was selling a car. Long story short, the "buyer" bolted with the car during the test drive when the owner got out to open the hood so he could see the engine. I've sold a few items on CL and met the buyers in the public location to transact. No way I am letting them come to my house or work.
  12. I'm in the process of having a house built and a friend of mine recommended using Kerapoxy grout for the tile due to the longevity and stain-resistance. It's expensive and a little more challenging to install (from what I've read). The tile guy my builder uses recommends using TEC Powergrout instead. What I've been able to discern online is that Powergrout is pretty decent but probably doesn't match Kerapoxy for the performance mentioned. I have quite a bit of tile going in the house so it's a pretty big deal for me. Anyone have experience with either or both and have some feedback? *EDIT* attached is a pic of said house...can't wait until it's done.
  13. Don't do it. Smells real fishy to me...there will be other buyers. CL is full of thieves and scammers.
  14. Does it have any magnification? (I'm at work and can't look it up). I have yet to even fire mine with the Lucid sight I put on it.
  15. I have the T-handle and use it all the time. The chain alignment tool looks like a handy little doodad as well.
  16. Ouch. Cops are usually cool if you treat them respectfully...I'm sure they get their fill of inbreds. I had a similar incident with a buddy in Brown county many years back. So how is AZ? I'd love to live there - lots of off road opportunities - but the wife insists that if we move it will be somewhere with water. Of course, there's the fact that we are in the process of building a very large house here...
  17. What kind of storage do you use on them - any use mSATA SSDs? I have a handful of those laying around. I haven't really looked at the RP devices but maybe I should.
  18. The fact that you even know what eyefinity is means you're a geek.
  19. http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/indiana/motorcyclist-killed-while-doing-wheelies-on-i74/-/13610848/21176654/-/ytcelm/-/index.html?absolute=true Sorry for the 2 post...meant to click edit but quotede instead. Is there no delete method?
  20. Sad but he brought it on himself... http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/indiana/motorcyclist-killed-while-doing-wheelies-on-i74/-/13610848/21176654/-/ytcelm/-/index.html?absolute=true
  21. I've built a number of them but I rarely game anymore so building a killer rig is overkill for me. The last thing I built was a Hackintosh last year to do video editing. Outside of that, it never gets powered up (I was going to say "turned on" but I'm on to you guys )
  22. You need an SSD
  23. How is that aimed at the poor? It's a ripoff for everyone. That said, if you renew it on time there's no late fee It's odd to see any gov't entity reduce fees.
  24. My biggest (and really only) gripe about my Z1000 is the smallish tank. Good to see you are enjoying it. Nothing's worse than buyers remorse.
