Bar-end mirrors FTW. I went through about 3 sets of mirrors before I got some CRG Arrows and I couldn't be happier. My rear visibility is awesome. I've seen some prototypes online of helmets with rear view cameras in them which project on the face shield. Seems distracting to me but Italy work out nice.

You know, I don't read every thread on here adn maybe it predates my participation here but I haven't figured out why a good number of users bash him so much? I've observed some very negative comments made to him and he's never (that I've seen) denigrated the conversation to a flame war and tends to keep an even keel attitude. Again, these are my observations...I don't know they guy. Maybe his opinions aren't popular (gun topics especially) but what has he done to incur the ire of the group or is it just a few and others are piling on?

I'm very close to you (for now)...I live in Colerain as well but moving to Montgomery late this year. I'm up for a ride anytime although I'll be in NOLA this weekend. There are a lot of nice roads off of Blue Rock - Thompson, E Miami River Rd...Buffalo Ridge is a great road off of Wesselman.

Good post. Years ago, I nearly bought the farm because I was attempting to keep up with some others and was riding outside my ability. Since that day, I've learned when to stay within my limits. I have too much to lose and I get the same amount of pleasure riding at what I consider to be a sane pace.

I'll never understand how people can just abandon pets like that.
