Niiiice. How many miles/hours? I don't think I can get the wife to open her purse until next spring (we have a lot going on right now) but ya never know.
  2. Nice spot. Did you just screw it into the plastic?
  3. You are right. However, doesn't take long before you become dehydrated which means no more sweat (or at least not much) and things get ugly from there. That's why so many people drinking in the sun get heat stroke etc. CrazySkullCrusher was smart enough to drink water alongside the alky though
  4. IMO, one is too much, legal or not. If you can't go a few hours without hitting the sauce, you need to re-evaluate things. Besides, alcohol actually increases body temperature (bad for hot day) and is by nature a diuretic (bad for staying hydrated). Just a bad idea all the way around. God I sound preachy and I hate preachy people
  5. I thought about that but ended up using the adhesive. I'm never selling a well-used helmet (gross) so it's not like I'm worried about ruining the value. I mounted mine on the right side of the helmet but it was later pointed out to me that I should have done the left side (easy enough) because it will always be nearer to the center of the road. The down side is that there is drag but really not a lot until you get up over 65 or so. You look weird too but who cares. The helmet mount is great because it follows where you are looking. The bad part is, a glance at something is all you need for your eyes/brain. For the camera (and subsequent video) it's way too fast. Case in point, I passed a hottie on the highway and as I passed I turned to look at her knowing I would catch it on the vid (it was my first day with the GoPro) . I felt like I was looking over for a long time but when I watched the vid, you barely see her.
  6. I would have taken my ball and gone home as soon as I saw people doing shots and shit. Being on two wheels is dangerous enough but being in a group of riders (whose skill levels are questionable to begin with) who are liquored up is a recipe for disaster. No thanks.
  7. I believe that is for the service station, not the oil/fuel suppliers.
  8. Right but the price per barrel and gallon seemed to be relatively commensurate for a long period of time up until the last part of the graph. I'm curious to see how the last few years compared although I strongly suspect the two graph line are close and or cross quite a bit. The sad part is, it doesn't seem to be driving much behavioral change. People are still tripping over themselves to but SUV's and poor MPG vehicles. As such, the oil companies have no incentive to do anything but keep prices high. Record profits look good to shareholders.
  9. It'd be nice if there were a graph that was a little more up to date
  10. Interesting. Never worked with the stuff. So is it adhesive? How does it mold to curves without wrinkling - is it stretchy?
  11. I stopped over from 6-7...not much to see. Saw a few nice bikes (and a few hotties) - pretty much 95% Harley/cruiser crowd.
  12. Good you are enjoying the hell out of it. Funny how for years people would strive to take the best quality pictures possible and now the "in thing" to do is doctor them up to look they came from older, less capable cameras. No offense, Doc. The pics are nice, just an observation on my part.
  13. Saw this posted elsewhere. It's 10 mins away from me so I may pop in if the weather holds out. Anyone else interested? http://iconmotosports.net/event/limiter-live-colerian-ohio/
  14. Just had my tires installed at sporttour, they have great tire prices and reasonable install rates.
  15. I commute on the Z1000 and it's a fun bike on weekends. The FZ1 is a nice commuter with sportiness as well.
  16. Some tongue in cheek writing with interesting stats... http://tynan.com/motolife
  17. Jeez, you're due some good luck!
  18. Seriously? Who thought this was a good idea? SMH. http://thelook.today.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/06/19/12296143-adidas-cancels-release-of-controversial-shackle-sneaker?lite
  19. I've driven a straight (box) truck a few times (I think it was an 18' trailer?) full of pallets of mail and other drivers do seem to have little disregard for the stopping distance those things take. I'm always mindful of that when I drive/ride. This sad event serves as a learning opporunity for the rest of us. It is for me anyway.
  20. Obviously, this didn't end well for the bike nor its rider. I only post because I would never have thought about a scenario like this. http://www.news10.com/story/18813463/police-fatal-crash-on-route-9
  21. you can have your very own... http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120830
  22. Thanks...this kinda screens me out though. I'm bonded because I work for a financial firm but that's about it.
  23. Hey now, I's gots some brains
  24. When I took the atv out to big rock last weekend I saw turkey, deer, rabbit and some other furry critter on the trails (I was the first out). I got most of them on my GoPro mounted on my helmet. Unfortunately, I also got about 15 spiderwebs in the face too.
