  1. If you really want the pay the money and want one of the fastest SSD's I've ever seen, look into Revo's.

Revo's can be a PITA. Since they require special drivers to work properly, if you ever have an issue where you need to boot from the Windows disk to repair you OS, it will not see the PCI-E based drive without first loading the driver. Fairly easy process but a pain if you don't have the driver saved off somewhere accessible. I had another issue where it was a pain but can't remember what it is at the moment. I have 2 Revodrives laying here (X2 480GB and 1TB hybrid) and I don't use them because of this. They are VERY fast though.

IMO the Samsung 830 or Intel 520 are the drives to have right now from a performance/reliability standpoint. OCZ drives are nice (I used to moderate their SSD forum when they first launched their SSDs) but they tend to rush product out and follow it up with firmware updates to fix bugs. For many users this is not a good situation.

  2. Yeah, Microcenter usually has the best prices on processors (they match or beat Newegg) and have good bundle deals with motherboards. Their RAM and other parts tend to be pricey though. You can usually find some great used parts on hardforum.com. I can't disclose details but the NVIDIA vid cards coming out this fall should be the shit. The latest round of cards is nothing special over the previous gen. If you can, get a decent cheap card now and save for the fall...

  3. 125mbs? Where are you getting that from on 2.0? Sounds a bit off to me... Multiply that by 4.5 ;) 3.0 gets around 2.5gbps(up to 5gbps)

Also I'm pretty sure if you do a little research I'm sure you would know this.. I'm also sure if you did the research between USB 3.0 and SSD you would also come to find there isn't a huge difference in data transfer speeds ;)

When it comes to computers I know my shit, so don't spit fake numbers at me.

Theoretical throughputs don't take into account overhead etc. Real world performance is much less. I have yet to see a USB 3.0 drive hit even 2.5Gbps speeds - especially in writes. SATA III is 6Gbps/750MB/s (theoretical) and I've tested the fastest drives out there and the best they can do (on reads) is ~560MB/s.

  4. It doesn't make a difference, as long as you have the OS installed and boot from flash. There is no reason to remove a dedicated drive and it will save boot time. If you don't believe me just try it, it's pretty simple to set up ;) it's not quite as fast as SSD, but pretty close.

Uhm no. Check the max throughputs of a USB 2.0 (I'm assuming that's what you are using as most don't have 3.0 yet). Not even close. USB 3.0 flash drives (good ones) are hitting 125MB/s which is still a far cry from even the "value SATA II SSD's. I've tested over 50 SSD's, I know a little bit about this ;)

  5. His name is Jason Moore, he about ran the rider off the road. The rider, he pulled over to a gas station and reported Jason's driving. Later they managed to be caught up together. Jason got out of the car, the rider got off his bike. Jason then got his ass kicked and face beat to hell. Jason then drove into the driver, backed up over him then went forward again. Jason was cranked up on heroin, he has few charges for trafficking, one in Montgomery Co and one in Miami Co. All awaiting Common Pleas Trials. I only know him because he's been f&%king my friends' wife while he was serving in the Marines in Afghanistan! Hopefully this piece of shit doesn't get out. The rider is okay, had broken ribs. They're awaiting this trial as well ;-). Jason was driving the "wifes" that isn't insured. So its a big clusterf*ck!

You all need to ride safe, never know what crackheads are out there raging and looking to fight!

Sounds like a standup guy  I hope he makes someone a nice prison bitch

  6. We headed up 71 to Cleveland on Sunday. As soon as I got in the freeway a pickup started riding my butt. I figured with it being Memorial weekend I didn't want to be the fastest on the road. I pulled over and let him past, then keep a pace with him with a 3-second following distance. Told my wife; "He's the Rabbit".

30 minutes of making good time later we crested a hill and saw a local cop in a grey Charger running laser. Both myself and the pickup in front of me saw the cop at the same time, but it was too late for him. 81mph is what his ticket should read.

I call 'em ferrets because they ferret out the cops.:D I leave more than a 3 second gap though...I just keep them in sight. Gives me time to slow a bit if I should see their brak lights come on. I've heard of several times where the cop pulled over the second guy in line because "the lead guy was taking all the risk" so they let him go.

My wife and I drove 2 hours each way to the IP yesterday and came home with nearly $1k worth of stuff. Found a killer Tourmaster jacket that I probably would not have looked at online and got 2 pair of leather reinforced jeans half off. I prolly could have found the other stuff I bought a bit cheaper online but I like supporting the local stores and I usually have a hard time finding gear that fits me right (I don't have a moto gp frame) so it works out well for me. The store his huge so they have a great selection of sizes colors which is what sets them apart from most dealers. My local dealers carry very limited inventory and rarely items for guys my size (6'2" 280lbs).

  8. Here's another minus the saw...easily remedied though :D

I call it the "Psychobike". Bicycle with motor, Pedal or motorized bike. Runs great. Electric start. 2stroke motor. Will go approximatel 20mph. I built this just for the novelty but started using it to go back and forth to the store. Front brakes. Really don't want to sell but I want to buy a gravely lawn mower and need the money. $200. frim. Call Ricky six o one seven one five two two eight one.

  9. A guy on another forum said it's supposed to be some new form of LSD that people are taking that is causing them to go nuts. I didn't see news reports on that. Although, that's the kind of shit the public is told in the movies which is why they are caught unaware. What are the odds that we hear about another incidence?

  10. This guy was telling a girl in the pub about his uncanny ability to guess the day she was born just by feeling her breasts.

"Really?" she said. "Go on then... Try."

After about 30 seconds of fondling she began to lose patience.

"Come on," she demanded, "What day was I born on?"

    "Yesterday?" He replied.

A man goes into a bar and seats himself on a stool. The bartender looks at him and says, "What'll it be buddy?"

The man says, "Set me up with seven whiskey shots and make them doubles." The bartender does this and watches the man slug one down, then the next, then the next, and so on until all seven are gone almost as quickly as they were served. Staring in disbelief, the bartender asks why he's doing all this drinking.

"You'd drink them this fast too if you had what I have."

The bartender hastily asks, "What do you have pal?"

The man quickly replies, "I have a dollar."

I was in a bar on Saturday night, and had a few...

I noticed two very large women at the bar.

They both had strong accents so I asked, "Hey, are you two ladies from Scotland?"

One of them snarled: "It's WALES you friggin' moron!"

So, I immediately apologized and said ...,

"So sorry…. are you two whales from Scotland?"

  11. A cop pulls over an elderly lady and walks up to her window. Before he can say anything, the woman says "Officer, as a registered gun owner, I am obligated to tell you that I have a loaded 9mm pistol in my glovebox."

    "Ok" he says.

"I also have a loaded .38 in the arm rest."

A little surprised, he says "Anything else?"

"Yes, I have a .45 in my purse. That's it." she replied.

The cop asks, "Ma'am, what are you afraid of?"

She looks him dead in the eye and says sternly "Not a fuckin' thing"

  12. Recovery varies from person to person and age plays a big factor. Doctors also like to be very conservative on their recovery time estimations. When I had my kneee repaired for a meniscus tear, they said I wouldn't be able to walk for a week and I was up and around the same afternoon as the surgery. It was no big deal at all. When they re-aligned my patella (stemming from the same original injury) several years later, that wasn't as easy but I was still way ahead of their schedule. That was my late twenties. I fear I wouldn't fare as well now as I near the 40 mark.

Its a good deal if you want to be driving a new car every 3 years. Especially if you buy "nice" cars. Buying new every 3 will cost you alot. There are some good deals on leases.

However I prefer to drive a car for 10+ years. My total cost is going to be less even if I buy new.

If you dont mind or prefer buying used then that is usually the best option.

I like to swtich cars a lot and with 3 total cars and a bike at home, I don't put a lot of miles on any one of them (two cars are purchased, one is leased). For me, it's more cost effective than buying and trading in because of the initial depreciation when you drive it off the lot.

  14. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Didn't know that...that would have saved me some time and aggravation. I actually, I suspected it did but I went to both Lowes and Home Depot and each only had the dip kind.

Those rims look nice. I'm interested in hearing how they hold up.
