Would you trade in your gas powered machine for one of these?

No, range still sucks. -

I was thinking valves as well...what is the valve check schedule and how many miles on the bike? -
And made it home OK. Hooked up with Wojo at IP bought a pair if gloves and had some lunch. I have to say, I'm loving the cruise control on the Tenere but the seat, not so much...my ass is sore. If you are out and about, cops are out in force. Two sports cars passed me doing 100+ on 71 south. One was a supra, not sure about the other one. About 20 mins later I came upon them on the side of the road, pulled over by the state police.

I made it in one piece a little early.

I'm going to head out of here about 9am which should get me there a little before 11am. I open to suggestions for lunch. I don't know the area restaurants but a sit down place (i.e. Applebees, O'Charley's. etc vs fast food joint) would be my preferred option where a beer can be had and we can hang out for a bit. At the moment I'm leaning towards riding the bike since the weather is going to be so damn nice...just hoping I don't find something I "need" that I can't carry back. Is there still a bunch of construction up there where 270 is closed and stuff? That really fucked me up last year.

I think I'm going to make a run up to the Iron Pony on Saturday. I don't really need anything but I always manage to find something I *need*. I also want to look at the Kendon trailers. I haven't decided to ride the bike or take the car. Anyone from the Cinci area interested in going and anyone from the Cbus area interested in a lunch meetup?

Feedback I've heard about them has generally not been positive. A guy at work called about a bike, they claimed they still had it, he drove the hour out there to look at it for them to tell him they didn't have it. He was pretty pissed.

Not yet but plan to this season. I've been working 60 hours a week for the last few months and it leaves me little time for much else. The good news is, if things go as planned I'll be switching roles at work and along with a promotion, I'll be back to a sane schedule. I'm really itching to take it out west.

I'll be over with a 12 pack

Thanks...I have to find it first. I had been using the wire mic on my old helmet. I liked being able to ask SIRI questions (i.e. read the last text, or what's the score of the Reds game) while I was stuck in traffic. My Neotec helmet has a pretty large chin skirt so it may be tough to open the helmet without conflict.
-
I like the dial on mine although fairly often I reach up to turn it and accidentally push in the dial making it try to connect to the intercom which is annoying sometimes. On a related note, anyone using the microphone with a modular helmet? I'm guessing the boom mike is the better option but it seems to get in the way.

I built one a few years ago...I can't remember the last time I turned it on. Anymore, blu-ray players have most of the functionality of HTPC's.

The amount of play is greater the larger the device. That said, it my iPhone 6+ with case, there isn't a lot of play...it can maybe rotate 10-15 degrees. Again, not an issue for me and this is the best setup IMO because you don't have to put the phone in a special case or even take it out of the case like a lot of the phone mounts. The best part is, there is absolutely no way the phone is coming out of there without intent.
-
I'm running one of these on my Tenere. Fits the iPhone 6+ The only negative thing I have to say is that once the phone is inserted, there's some play in the rotation but it's not an issue for normal riding. Off road, it may bother some.

Yeah, IP is great if you have time for the trip up and back. I really need to get up there one weekend.
-
As mentioned, you have the dealers and Sport Tour...that's about it.

Missed you this AM, Bill. I stopped down to say hi to everyone but I didn't have the time to do the ride. Looked like a good showing.

2007 DRZ400S Only 2134 mi Clean street legal OH title (no lien) Located in Cincinnati, OH I bought this early last year from the original owner in WV with the optimistic thoughts of doing a bunch of riding. I put a ton of work into putting on all of the farkles to get it just the way I wanted it and ended up riding all of 250 miles since. Pretty sad, I know. It's been hanging out in my garage on a battery tender for most of the time. I just have too many things competing for my time and most have higher priorities so no sense of letting it continue to sit. I have the Super Tenere if I really get the urge to go off the beaten path. Runs great, clean and fresh off of oil change (full synthetic). Ready to ride right now. There are no issues with the bike. Farkles On Bike (might be forgetting a few) - Pivot Pegz (Mark 3) - TT Case Savers - MSR folding shift lever - Race Tech Front Springs - 0.52kg - Race Tech Rear Spring - 6.0kg - Pro Taper SE CR High Bars 7/8" - New Moose Racing Steel Rear Sprocket - 47T - Clarke 3.9G tank w/ Yamaha Petcock (part #LP-24500-01-00) - Tusk Billet Aluminum Gas Cap - Zeta Handguards - Precision Motorcycle Rear Rack - Yoshimura pipe and header (done by PO) - Seat concepts seat - Unabiker aluminum radiator guards - Weld86 Skid Plate - Jetted carb - vi JD Jet kit (done by PO) - DRC Edge fender eliminator & LED brake/signals - Passenger peg eliminator bracket - New heavy duty front tube - ~60% left on knobbies - Doubletake mirrors - Battery tender lead installed (done by PO) I have all of the original parts that I got with the bike including but not limited to: - Original Tank (yellow) - no dents - Original seat - Original Mirrors - Original springs front/rear I'll have to go through everything to get a comprehensive list. SWEET EXTRAS!!!!! - Suzuki gel seat (low) - New in package Twin Air air filter - Wolfman Enduro Tank Bag - Motorsport Products - P-12 Lift Stand (pictured) - MotoTote motorcycle carrier - no trailer needed! (see link for pic) Low miles, great condition, lots of farkles and extras. Asking $4000 - THIS IS A STEAL! As such, I'm pretty firm on price...I'm not hurting for money and I don't have to sell. No trades or lowball offers. Must have cash on hand for test ride. Not parting out...if buyer doesn't want some of the extras, I will sell them separately. PM is the best way to reach me. Glad you were able to sell it quick...now sell that vstrom and get ya a Tenere
-
Did it go to dealer or private sale? Just curious who the lucky bastard was.

This ^^^ I've been wanting to pick up a Zumo but debating on the model.

Probably the best bike I ever owned...like he said, it's definitely more of a hooligan bike than a tourer, especially for us older guys. The young guys will appreciate the comfort over sport bikes with similar performance. I do miss the snap acceleration as compared to my Tenere GLWS Bubba, should go quick!

Syntax may be different but the concepts are the same. I've never work on MySQL but regularly use T-SQL and PL-SQL. Is there a job listing we can check out?
